I was surprised to find a couple of vintage collection figures at Ross yesterday, Yakface and Klaatu, each only $3.99! I know others have reported these, but I hadn’t seen them myself there yet. Well, I already had a Klaatu and a Yakface in my Jabba’s palace, but I couldn’t pass up that price. I decided to make a simple repaint custom of Klaatu into Yotts Orren, one of the escort skiff aliens, since that skiff is short at least three characters still. Here are pics of the repaint, and a comparison with the base figure. I’m pretty happy with it, though I know it isn’t fully accurate, but it will absolutely do until Hasbro makes an official sculpt, and I can put mine in the background of Jabba’s Palace. The fanny pack is from a G.I. Joe classified belt that I did not need; edit: Revisited the figure today and cut little pieces of thin fabric that looks like miniature leather for straps, front flap on the fanny pack, and boot wraps. I painted it all and added a second ammo belt across his chest from the extra Klaatu I had! I then Dremeled down his legs more to thin them out and eliminate the layered look into more smooth type slacks. Now he’s a bit more accurate 👌

That's cool, Yotts is one of the remaining Jabba goon figures that Hasbro needs to make. That looks great!

Thanks! I actually revisited the figure today and added more to him; replacement pics are above minus the one on the skiff.

Thanks! Yeah, I know that the lower legs look pretty thick, and if you can believe it, I actually dremeled them down a good bit before wrapping them, but they still look a little chunky. Doesn’t bother me too much though, because Hasbro is more likely to make too skinny Jabba guards these days, rather than too baggy. Also, the reference pic made it look as though there was a little bit of kilt in the front, but it apparently it’s just a fold of his pants, so I may cut that away as well!

Yeah, so I was not going to be happy with the problems I saw; classic Daig 😅. One last visit to the custom with Dremeled down thickness of his legs, especially to remove the layered sculpt of his pants. I pulled off the boot wraps and reattached them to the thinner legs. I’m leaving it alone now!

It looks great! If anyone should be a “dirty” custom, it’s Yotts! 😜
