I have long been interested in creating custom figures and diorama's to display my figures. I picked up my first pieces solely for creating customs years ago but progress has been slow. A vareity of facotrs have slowed my progress but anyway I am making progress. I plan to post my Star Wars custom projects here.

Count Dooku: Jedi Master
full

I am working on a display with the lineage of master and padawan. With this simple custom I am able to start with Yoda and proceed to Ashoka Tano. The main work was to sand down the neck and ball for the head. Why do these Jedi bodies very so much in the head sockets and ball on the neck. You'd think having a standard would be easier for them when manufacturing... Then some paint on hair and beard. Swap of saber blade and now I have Dooku prior to his departure from the Jedi order.

Recipe:
Head, hands, lightsaber hilt - Count Dooku (Evolutions of the Sith); thanks matto
Body - Obi-wan Kenobi (Revenge of the Sith 08-01); thanks yodashizzle

P.S. It looks like Dooku but I also get a very strong Hans Gruber vibe from the head...

Cool display, love the idea of a kind of lineup of jedi masters and apprentices. I see what you mean about the head and Hans Gruber but that kind of makes it cooler to me. I can see him turning to Obi-Wan and saying, "Yippee. Cay. Aye. Give. Me. My detonators!"

This is the first “Young Dooku” I’ve really truly liked; I can tell it’s him, but it doesn’t seem like a simple repaint. Nice job indeed! 🤩

I enjoy the holiday droid collection and set up my ever growing display each year. I had long thought that a droidel would be a fun addition to the theme. I immediately thought of an R4 as you could flip it and have the functionality of the dreidel. I acquired an R4 cheaply on eBay and did the painting other than the letters. My wife teaches at a Jewish school and teaches the letters so she painted them for me.
