The reuse of Padme's cape feels a bit weird. It's a very specific texture and doesn't have a hood. Seems like a soft goods cape would have been a better fit here. Even recoloured reuse of the Jabba's Palace Luke would probably have worked better, as the length of the cape is (as is to be expected with comics) inconsistent between issues and even between panels. Jedi Luke's proportions aren't even that different from Hoth Leia's, so it probably wouldn't have been massively oversized on her.

Probably would have matched pretty well with this cover:

Ah well. There's a surprising amount of new parts here. The boots and forearms look new to me, and though I initially thought the belt was a slightly ironic reuse of the Jaina belt/holster, the details are actually slightly different so I think that's new too.

Obviously also a new headsculpt, or at least hairsculpt and I think it looks great!

Only slightly odd thing is that I don't think the hairstyle they've gone with actually matches any of her comic depictions. In most of the Princess Leia comics, she's got more of a bun and bangs thing going on rather than that top braid and loose back.

Kind of a shame because I think this

Is a great look, and it would have been great to see a 'realistically' styled attempt at this.

Still, it's the only one of the comic book figures other than Kir Kanos I've been remotely tempted to get because it does look very nice, and is a great 'all purpose action' Leia

It doesnt really look like Carrie Fisher, but its a great looking figure. I'd imagine the more talented customisers will have a field day with this one (except for the fact it'll be nearly $50 with taxes)

It would have been nice if they at least did a new hair piece to match the artwork. Still, it's a nice figure, and I think it would display well with something like Yavin Luke. I wish they could do an alternate look for a Han Solo figure as well, but I'm not sure what they could do? Not familiar with the comics so much.

Regarding the cloak, I would probably get a 3rd party soft goods cloak on ebay or something. I'm trying to ween myself off of 6", but this might be one to get regardless.

I like it, but the hair doesn’t look as it should, and the hair is really one of the coolest parts of the design IMO.
It actually looks more like some of the hairstyles Leia sported in the original Marvel comics, I think. 🤔

Looks great. If the price was $19.99 or maybe even $22.99 I'd preorder her to get her right when she releases. For $27.99 I'll be passing. Hopefully GameStop or Dorksidetoys have her on sale at some point.
Yeah, gonna have to wait for TRU to put this one on sale (but I will be waiting LOL).

uh! I see a good donor for an unnamed female Mandalorian custom already! :-D
Be still my heart...😁

The only figure out of this wave I'm interested in. It's a shame they didn't give her that matching jacket as a swappable accessory.
Just swipe the vest off one of the millions of Jyn Erso figures leftover from the first release of Rogue One merch and trim off the green bits. 👍🏻

I pre-ordered this one because there’s always room for Leia. But i might change my mind later because $28.99 is a tough pill to swallow.

I got Jaxxon on sale for $12, so I wonder if I’ll get lucky with Leia, too.

What constitutes a "Fan Channel"? When I hear that term I think of Rebelscum or Jedi Archives but I think they mean Dorkside and BBTS. Wouldn't "Fan Retailers" be a better term?
That's Hasbro's terminology - it's likely in reference to the products' "Distribution Channel". Fan Channel is basically any retailer outside the big three - Walmart, Target, & Amazon. So that can include EE, BBTS, Pulse, DS, SFS, ORC, GS, BB, B&N/BAMM, etc. So anyplace geared more towards fans/collectors. There have been exceptions...from time to time. :)

It's more Patrick corporate speak. So annoying.

I could bring wrong, but the first time I remember seeing it used with an announcement was on Marvel Legends (big time Spidey and warpaint Punisher).

Exactly how I feel about my pre-order. I really want to keep this one, but... we'll see.

Wonder which site is best to order these from. Usually use BBTS for the other comic figs but Pulse seems best and fastest?
