A friend of mine recently purchased a 3D printer and we tried printing a MM-sized ship, so I picked the Gladiator-class cruiser : http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gladiator-class_Star_Destroyer

While there are some small printing lines, I must say that I was impressed by the result. I now need to paint it but I plan to print a few other ships as well as ships from Battlestar Galactica.

And I also have to find a way to host pictures online, as I have many other customs to share with you. Any idea ?

I have never truly liked the bright white they used on the Aliens Narcissus ship, so I decided to weather it a bit with Vallejo model wash. Here are some pics:

At the same time Photobucket messed up thousands and thousands of accounts, forums posts, blogs and websites. Some of my pics were lost as well, but I have them stored on my PC, laptop, memory cards, and on a couple other sites. I've seen the pics with my old Micro Turbo Tank playset that I modded were also gone. Here are they again:

The interior has been eve more changed since these pics were taken, hopefully one day I'll post the updated ones too:

One of the first mods of the interior, with AF Scout and Micro Barc Speeders inside for size:

Maybe you remember the cool Micro Turbo Tank playset that was released years ago, but which instead of a real tech interior had a landscape diorama with Kashyyyk planet. I never liked the diorama inside a tank and thus I removed all the plants and trees from inside and made it a real Turbo Tank. The doors landscape parts where the hardest to take off, being glued too well.

Weathering was in 2 stages, the top photo combo is the final stage, the lower photos are only with finished interior, outside weathering was not 100% finished:

Can't believe that I haven't done this earlier but I repainted one of my Executors into Admiral Dalla's Knight Hammer.

Here's a 5 minute custom - I modified the MM Resistance transport so that the gun pod and transport pod could be free or attached, minus the troop carrier center. After a couple slices, I drilled both sides and put a peg in the gun pod:

That's a good idea ! And you also have the transport from TLJ now ! In the Art Of TLJ book, they do explain that the trnasport stolen by Rose/Finn was indeed the cockpit from the Rebel Transport in TFA.

Thought I'd give this thread a bump with a recent custom - after seeing the Profundity in RO, I wondered what other Mon Cal ships would look like with "fins", so I made modifications to an MC-80 (Home One) class ship. I added a command tower on the ventral section and a communications tower on the dorsal. I also included a rail gun to combat FO Dreadnaughts. General Leia Organa took this decommissioned cruiser, refit it, and designated it The Ackbar, after the fallen Admiral.

Kewl, both of those mods are awesome, DS. The Mon Cal will look perfect in the fleet.
The Resistance transport now reminds me of the Bespin Cloud Car, nice call!

I likely wasn't posting actively when that Resistance Transport modification post was made, but it brought back memories when the Space 1999 Eagle transport and Mattel Battlestar Galactica Stellar Probe toys could to make 'new' smaller vehicles when the you could detach the cockpit and engine sections from the main fuselage and reattach them back together. Now that I see it, it does make for a cool looking 'new' ship. B)

Thanks guys, the Mon Cal is something I've wanted to do for awhile now - as some of you probably know, I love Rebel / Resistance ships, especially the Mon Calamari cruisers. Somehow I wound up with three Home One MMs, so I figured I could spare one for this upgrade.

Starhawk, you should continue to post your customs if you make more as well, I like your carrier! I wish that MM were more easy to track down, I'd customize one myself.

Thanks! I'm actually about to do a few little things so I'll post them when I'm finished.

Quick fun little project, I recently came I to possession of several more of Hera's A-Wing from the Rebels set, and decided to do some repaints. I've always loved the original A-Wing concept art and was glad they used it in Rebels and with the new A-Wing in TLJ.

Something I've been wanting to do for a while now ever since the Invisible Hand micro machine came out. The Rebel One is not as well known as other Rebel Flagships but I always loved the design, and the Rebellion aesthetic.

Another small project, I took an Arc-170 and cut off the wings from the fuselage. Then I reversed the orientation of the wings as the Arc-170s angle up and are flat towards the front and the Z-95's are flat in the rear and are at an angle in the front. I added and removed bits where needed and gave it the weathered look I prefer. And there you have it a Clone Z-95 Headhunter!

Gosh, that works well. I bought an extra FFG Headhunter with the intention of doing something very similar buthadn't gotten around to it. With FFG announcing Clone Wars era ships, hopefully I won't have to, now. ;)

I decided to make an Interdictor Class Star Destroyer, I based my design off of Fractal sponge's. I shaved down and cut into the Superstructure to match the pictures.

Back at it again with another Imperial Star Destroyer custom. This time with the Errant Venture, the warship turned Casino turned warship.

Despite the fact that now my collecting focus are Original Trilogy Imperials, and that I mostly collect high end items, I still love the classic Action Fleet and MicroMachines series, these being the only exception to OT Imperial collecting rule. A good friend of mine repainted the Micro Battle Set Turbo Tank / Juggernaut, and I added the interior, because the original interior was Kashyyyk environment diorama and not a proper tank one. Here is the finished product, though I'd better say it is still work in progress, as I'm going to make further changes to the interior. Enjoy :)

This is how the playset originally looked like - and yes, I have a second one that is still boxed.

Some time ago I bought a set of Matchbox mini playsets and figures, all these are very close in size to Action Fleet (the reason I bought them). One of these sets had some kind of a walker and I decided it needed a bit of a transformation to make it more "starwarsy". Here it is - work in progress, as I might weather it more and will add a few more greeblies on it, but need to have the time to search for the parts:

Nice Sergiu,

Something I'd been wanting to do for a while, I converted a regular Y-Wing into ECHenry's envisioned New Republic Y-Wing. I really like the design so I decide to make my own

Nice. Eric Henry has done some fabulously thoughtful and visually appealing designs. I love his youtube channel. I wish his concepts were canon. If I were working on a sci fi show, I'd have him on my design team.
