Wow. Nice job on Baron Fel. I really like the contrast of the dark-grey and black. I'll have to try that.

My latest offering is the Interdictor Cruiser.

That officer is very impressive Matt. I can't believe you were able to get a well trimmed beard on a face in that scale. Awesome job!

Thanks for your comments guys, I really appreciate it ! The beard was indeed tricky, I'm still surprised I was able to paint it without putting a black scar through the face. Repainting the figures also gives me a new appreciation for them, Galoob really made sure that the toys were of high-quality, even if they had to compromise with production costs. The cylinder is sculpted, rank badges and belt buckle as well.

Stay tuned for more MM goodies !

Here it goes on, with the Royal Guard TIE Interceptor. These fighters were piloted by Plapatine's own guards, and their duty was to escort the Emperor's Shuttle when travelling.

A similar paint job is available in the Titanium line as well as in the X-Wing mini game.

Sweet figures you have here ! It's really nice to have characters from AotC/RotS. You did a wonderful job on both of them.

As for me, I would like to add the Royal Guard Pilot to my previous entry. I kept the classic red on the flight suit and helmet, but added silver highlights and a yellow mohawk to the helmet. The yellow reminds the exterior panels on the Interceptor. I thought that while the guards should remain undistinguishable from one another while weraing their robes, their fighters could use a little personnality that would be in line with their training suits (as shown in Hasbro's multipack).

and here with the fighter :

Nice job. I like all the detail on the chest panel. The silver highlights turned out really well too.

Matt, I liked what you did earlier with the Bespin guards so I decided to try a few of my own. I also added Twin-Pod Cloud Car pilots to go along with them.

Just getting caught up with the latest additions to this thread. Great job guys! Matt your small details never fail to impress me. Jedi1207, that was a very clever idea with the Cloud Car pilots. Love the execution!

Good job Jedi1207, I love your Bespin Guards. It's funny that you should post those Cloud Car Pilots, I did the exact same custom a few days ago but have yet to post them ! :D

As for now, some droid love with R2-Q5, Imperial astromech on post aboard DSII :

And thanks for the comments about the Royal Guard Pilot !

Nice detail on that droid. Here are a few of my "miscellaneous" droids. My favorite is the serving droid.

The serving droid is really cool ! The white one with red highlights has a great paint scheme, but you might want to add the mid-section details if you ever work on it again (highlight the wires for example). The astromech reminds me of Goldie (R3-S) from the CW cartoon :Rebelscum.com: Photo Archive

Did you do it on purpose or is it a happy coincidence ?

As I said previously, I had the same idea as Jedi1207 and also repainted an Imperial Naval Troopers into a Cloud Car Pilot, using Hasbro's TVC figure as a reference :

I also have a Cloud Car Gunner, that I'll show you in a few days !

Good point on the white droid. I always thought something was missing but could never put my finger on it. The R2 unit was inspired by Goldie from the Clone Wars cartoon.

I really like your cloud car pilot. Nice detailing with the red. Can't wait to see the gunner.

Here's the Cloud Car Gunner, as promised :

The denomination "Gunner" is not official, though, as I based this figure on Hasbro's OTC Cloud Car Pilot : Rebelscum.com: Photo Archive

However, the fact that the costumes are different between the OTC and TVC figures, and the fact that the Cloud Car usually has one pilot and one gunner, led me to think that one had to be a gunner.

And here's the whole Bespin Wing Guard :

Awesome stuff Matt! The blue Cloud Car reminds me of some of Ralph Mcquarrie's concept paintings, and that's always a good thing in my eyes.

Those other pictures of the Cloud Car make it look even better. I would love to have an Action Fleet version in those colors. I might have to attempt that myself. Would probably involve a lot of masking off windows so I could spray an even coat of paint over it.

New character today : Admiral Yularen joins the ranks of the Galactic Empire. He was one of the highest ranking officer in the Republic Fleet at the time of the Clone Wars, and then joined the Imperial Security Bureau. He briefly appears in ANH, and is killed when Luke destroys the Death Star.

Very cool. I also did a Yularen with an fellow member of the ISB. In the middle is Ysanne Isard.

Here's the easiest custom I did, a Blackhole Stormtrooper, which uses a classic Stormtrooper repainted in black, no crazy details needed, just a plain black armor. Don't be angry with me, Marvel's artists were lacking imagination back then !

The next one will feature a bit more work !

As promised, here's a ship that required a bit more work than the Blackhole Stormtrooper. The Nova Squadron B-Wing was inspired by a color scheme that I found online (can't find the source anymore though), which I thought looked really great. Moreover, I decided to change the orientation of the cockpit, by cutting and glueing it back in place. Therefore, it adopts a vertical attack mode.

Scale is 1/330.

Let's continue with a Shadow Guard from the game "The Force Unleashed". The Empire sure had a thing for "Shadow-stuff" to explain the lack of imagination of their designers :D

No apologies for simple repaints. Sometimes they are the best. I did my black stormtroopers as guards for Karnor Jax.

My customs from the Force Unleashed are General Rahm Kota, Juno Eclipse and Starkiller.

Do any of you take requests, lol. Would love to see some droids cartoon customs
So far, I only repaint figures/ships and I am not resculpting them. So if a character fits well with a figure I have spare of, I could do one for fun ! I believe there's a AT-AT/Imperial Shuttle mish-mash a few pages earlier from the Droids cartoon.

Jedi1207 : your TFU figures are awesome ! Original figure is easy to tell for Juno Eclipse, but I'm not 100% for the other two : I'd say Rahm Kota is a Dagobah Luke with added armor/hair bun/lightsaber, and Vader's Apprentice is the other version of Dagobah Luke but you cut and glued back the arms. Is that correct ?

As for my new customs, here's the first part of an AT-AT pilots squad :

The tubes going in the helmet are not completely accurate (they should go in the back), but I feel like it is good enough for this scale !

That is correct on the original figures. Your AT-AT pilots look really good. You are right about modeling figures at this scale. Figures this small can be really difficult. I did a set of AT-AT pilots also and as soon as I get a chance to photograph them I'll post them.

Hellwig: I don't know much about the droids cartoon but I'll see what I can come up with.

Really cool, I love how you repositioned Cmdr Gree and added the binoculars ! It really makes him stand out. How many of his troops did you paint ? I count 3 different figures on the pictures, but maybe there are more hiding in the trees :D

As I said, I will now show some Ep. 1-3 customs, first in the series is the first protocol droid to (chronogically) appear on our screens : TC-14.

I base coated him in white, and then highlighted the figure with a metallic paint. Details were added in the mid-section to show the cables. As you can easily guess, it's based on a C-3PO figure.

Nice droid. I like the detail on the wires and the eyes. I only painted two Kashyyyk troopers to go along with Gree. They are just in different positions in the photo.

Next I have Ki Adi Mundi with his Republic Marines.

These Galactic Marines are really cool. I have a couple spare Snowtroopers so I might steal the idea.

The Episode I trend goes on today, with two Naboo Royal Guards, based on Imperial Naval Troopers. It was tricky to find the right balance of colours, as their dark red and brown outfit uses a lot of leather, which is difficult to show at such a tiny scale. I believe the figures ended quite nicely, I hope you'll like them !
