I like the figure, but they should have made the jacket as a separate piece like they did on Cassian. :{J

that would have been nice, but the figures was starting to sky rocket in price (on the new vintage card), so it's a good thing they reissued it even as it is.
I'm saying the figure should have always had the separate jacket. Not that a new figure be made. :{h

Darn it, had some in my cart. But Just didn't pull the trigger fast enough I guess. Was gonna get a Tusken raider as well, to customize Two Tubes.

I finally got this Ponda Baba 3.75" TBS figure off Amazon, after wanting this for years. I never got TVC version. And, though I don't like ordering online when it comes to SW toys, in this case I decided to make an exception.
In any case, great sculpt & accessories! I can see why fans have been lauding this over the years. I like the inclusion of both sets of hands, the damaged arm, and the drink cup. This is a great companion to the Dr. Evazan TVC figure I got several years ago.
Glad Hasbro re-released this in TBS line, or else I probably would never have been able to get the figure (I don't like paying aftermarket prices for these).

Same here. ALthough the current $9 isn't bad, getting them for $4.72 would have been better. Don't know why I just didn't buy them. I was still hoping Amazon would drop the Vintage TIE Interceptor below $49.99 so I could pick up more of those.
Just curious, does Amazon still have the vintage TIE Interceptor?
they do/did, $79.99 was the price they had for it :-/

This happened to me on one figure. It's like they made the arm peg too slim and weak.

Note that this all depends on your area. I have yet to see either Ponda or the Tusken Raider 3.75" TBS figures @ my Wal-mart, and doubt I will at this point. I had to get Ponda online.

Correct on the packaging. I didn't realize that Hasbro shipped solid cases of these since they were WM exclusives at first.

Which brings up another crazy Hasbro idea, hey lets reissue Ponda but not make him accessible. Though I will say that's a pretty old release for it to somehow pop up at Ollies, especially since it's been available on walmart.com for MSRP for several years after release. Then one day they upped it to $20 after it was on sale for fairly cheap.
I was actually thinking the other day on whether a TVC reissue is necessary, I mean as an OG96er it technically could be but he was already released in 2011. And we've already had so much influx of reissues that IMO bog down the basic line. So if I had my choice I'd choose Ponda, Evazan, and Bom for a 3-pk similar to the Skiff set and make it a Fan channel. In fact that's probable what I'd do for all Cantina repacks minus the ones that need remade like Hammerhead.
We never got the red/black boxed version here. We did get a decent amount of the TVC wave though. I was able to pick up about 5 or 6 Ponda Babas, but I would definitely buy more if I had the chance.
I saw several of these today at an Ollie’s. Grabbed one with a decent box. Price tag sticker is in there pretty good though.

No, I got the 3 3/4”. They had a ton of the 6” as well, but that’s not what I bought.
I just ordered a couple of these loose from Tunghori. I’m excited to finally have a complete one as the one I got was from a toy show and missing all the extra parts.
