New pictures have leaked out of the upcoming 2nd wave Poe Dameron figure. At first I actually thought it was a Han Solo figure.

Thoughts on this figure?

I like the outfit, might get him if the price is right but knowing how these are on eBay,, it will cost me almost ss much as SHF. I can only hope he will pegwarm like his TFA regular release.

Thought the same thing when I caught the photo on facebook. Hope they modify him a little more before the release to separate the 2 characters more.

I like it, but it's very similar to the Target 3-Pack Cassian, the 2-Pack Poe, and the inevitable Bespin Han....

He looks very skinny? Compared to the other Poe's

2 pack Poe looked to be about right. X Wing pilot Poe looked too round in the torso. I think this one looks skinnier than that one, but still accurate size. He was my favorite character in TFA, so this one is pretty much a must-buy.

Poe needs some Han Solo style boots....I hate the snow boots look he has....other than that I dig the look....

I like him, actually. Doesn't scream Poe to me, but maybe a less blurry picture will help.

Looks a damn sight better than the TFA pilot version. I know there've been complaints about him "raiding Han's wardrobe," but I dig the look a lot. It's not like Han has a monopoly on dark trousers and jackets.

I found this today at a TRU. Love it. None of the pictures so far have done justice to the paint apps on his face; if I didn't know better, I'd think they'd used the digital printing tech. And like others have said, I like his outfit/costume. Simple, classic SW aesthetic.

This is my most wanted figure after finding out Deluxe Luke isn't out for another month.

I feel fortunate to have found this one at Wal-Mart today! Pictures don't do it justie. It really is a nice looking figure and they did a FAB job with Oscar's likeness this time around!!! <3

I was thrilled beyond belief to find a Poe at one of the two TRUs I have around here. I wasn't expecting any lingerers at 6:00 in the evening, but lo and behold, they had him and I snatched him. His face truly is the biggest 180s of Star Wars figure likenesses (sorry akbardown, I don't have picture capabilities at this moment).

The one I found at TRU looked a tad different in the eyepaint. Back then, I had to exchange a couple of the pilot Poes just to get a decent facial sculpt/paintjob.

Found two of these at TRU . . . both with a lazy eye.

:(

The only YouTube review I saw of him had one eye that was misprinted and gave the illusion of a bulbous, goldfish looking eye. I really hope this isn't a common trend because I was hoping for an all around decent Poe for once.

This figure is alright. The costume design and one small accessory... I don't know. They could've branded this figure STAR WARS MAN and it would've accomplished the same thing. Easily the least exciting thing out this FF.

Yeah, couldn't agree more with this. Poe's TLJ outfit is as generic as they come, and Finn's isn't much better. It's like they looked at Han Solo and decided that every man in the galaxy dresses in an off-white shirt with a weird collar, with a jacket over the top.

I know they've gone the whole Resistance route so the good guys can be plucky, underequipped underdogs (again) but Poe at least is supposed to have been a pilot for the Republic. Couldn't they have given him an outfit with more of a military cut? Or something more like Luke's ESB jumpsuit?

Costuming so far has been all over the place in the sequel trilogy. They absolutely knocked it out of the park with Luke. If you'd asked me to describe my perfect 'Jedi Master Luke' look, it still wouldn't have been as good as what they came up with. Kylo Ren has a really interesting look, and Rey's outfit really suits her character. But absolutely everything else (so far) has been rubbish. How can they have got one or two things so right, then been so utterly uninspired for everything else? IMO, of course. I know some people dig the First Order uniforms, for example.

I understand these concerns on costume design because I think Poe's captain uniform is uninspired and boring. There are two points I want to make. First we can consider that the Han Solo look is generic in itself aside from the corellian blood stripes it's just a belt/holster, plain pants, white/tan plain shirt and a vest or jacket. Secondly, the design was already repeated in ANH when Luke wore a very similar outfit just in different colors and unique textured jacket for the Yavin celebration ceremony. Now, this may not excuse Poe's and perhaps Finn's outfits and their shared similarity from being boring, however there appears to be precedence for it's existence in and out of universe. At the very least the boots are different than just the shiny smooth leather tall variety. Finn's jacket is also as unique if not more so than Luke's yellow one.

As opposed to most of you I kinda like the outfit, especially the coloring on this one
I've always appreciated SW clothing not being futuristic.

Finn's outfit though...

But despite not being a fan of Hasbro's figure execution, I'm planning on getting Poe, Finn in disguise, Leia, Smoke and Luke as I think it's pretty unlikely there will be Japanese versions of them any time soon.

Well I think the new uniforms look super cool, and also remember that every military guy in SW wears the old school tips of military shirt, the same way Han wore the shirt on ESB and ROTJ, he was part of the rebels, a Capt first and a General later. Some were in the uniform books from DK they explain why Han's shirt was that way, same as Luke's at the end of ANH. Same as Cassian Andor in R1, pretty much all the Captains and above in the rebellion wears the same tips of shirts. Han was the exemption wearing his CorrelIians blood stripes on ESB and ROTJ, however he didn't wore that stripes on TFA and because he was not in the rebellion or with the rebels he wore something similar from ANH shirts. Obviously all the new jackets on the new movies seems to be of leather, but I guess because of the times.
