Not sure how I missed this news. I used to be really into Playmobil when I lived in Germany as a kid. My brother and I had quite a collection back then (I still have mine). I kind of grew out of it, but I always follow what new stuff they have every year. Somehow I missed the announcement that they are doing Back to the Future sets for the 35th anniversary of the film! Totally stoked for these!

Cool. I wonder how this will scale with the Funko Reaction BTTF figures? It converts to hover-mode, and it even comes with Einstein and the plutonium case! It has lights and sounds as well. I wonder if it will have swappable parts for Mr. Fusion or original plutonium reactor? This is a must buy for sure.

If you follow the link in my original post there are loose pics from NYCC. It does come with the lightning rod attachment, which you can sort of see on the box, but here's a better look at it.

I don't see the Mr. Fusion anywhere, but it does appear that the plutonium canister plugs into the reactor and the set also comes with the video camera and Marty's skateboard:

There's also a two pack of figures with 1955 Marty and Doc:

Also, if you are looking for a DeLorean to go with the Reaction figures, the Diamond Select one scales rather well with them:

Awesome! I do hope they'll do Biff's car as well, so we'll get a young Biff, Lorraine, George and undercover Marty. The Hoverboard chase multipack and a line-up of Western figures would be logical follow-ups as well. Maybe even a retooled Time Machines for Part III, too.

Playmobil figures are smaller than the Reaction figures by maybe an inch or so.
True, but sometimes the vehicles and structures are oversized for the Playmobil figures and can be compatible. Not always though.

I have the Diamond Select Delorean which is actually much too big IMO at 1:15 scale. The car is not a very big car in real life. The top of the car comes up to only about the stomach or even waist area on most average sized people

That's pretty cool. I'll have to pick up their newest catalog next time I'm out and about and see what else is new. I had Playmobil stuff as a kid as well as my SW stuff. I think I had Playmobil first, then grew into SW.

My brother and I got into Playmobil when we were in Germany. Between the two of us, we amassed quite a collection of the Castle sets, Western town, and Pirate stuff. So many great toys! We also had a few of the Space sets and African safari sets. This was the early 80s. Like LEGO, it's amazing to see how far Playmobil has come since then, yet still retains it's original roots.

I was able to get Playmobil in the US as a kid. I had the Knights and King set and my dad built me a wooden castle for them. I also got some of the western stuff as well before moving on to SW. Playmobil used to be easy to get in the US, not so much anymore. I love the world-building possibilities with them.

The PIxel Dan video indicated it's supposed to "launch in May".

Regarding compatibility with the Reaction figures, it looks like they leg area is closed off. So, it would take some modification to cut out the leg area in order to put in a Reaction figure it seems. Still seems pretty do-able and not much of a road block to modify. I'm getting it for sure.

Yeah, way back in the day (late '70s) I got a set of western figures and a set of knights. They were just figures and accessories...maybe horses too, I really can't remember. We moved to Germany in '79 and I was overwhelmed with all of the cool Playmobil stuff that was available.

Here in the US, TRU used to carry a good amount of Playmobil. I have noticed that, since TRU has closed, Walmart is actually carrying a good selection and so does Barnes and Noble book store.

Man, I haven't kept an eye on Playmobil since my kids were young, but I may have to grab this to display on my desk. Too cool!

Yeah if i remember correctly back then, I think it was McD's who was giving them away with Happy Meals? That was actually how I got hooked on them as a kid! Ended up getting a few different items later on, but man they were nothing like they are today. Pyramids!

Pre-ordered, too cool looking. Of course now that I did I'm sure NECA will come out with a DeLorean for their BTTF figures....

Here's the commercial showing which ones they had. I remember the shriff and the Native American with the Buffalo headdress coming out. I think the other two got pulled from the market after the kid swallowed some piece.

That's what you get for putting toys inside a food box! Especially if there are non observing parents in the mix.

They're all over testing kid's candy at Halloween, but investigating toys that come with food? lol

me too. almost have a complete set. just wish the Mystery Machine looked closer to the cartoon instead of the movies.
The codes are posted online so you know who is inside, but the Canadian ones have a different code. I'm collecting the ones I don't have from the various other scooby toys (Scooby Heroes).

We have them now in Canada. Our codes are different from the ones below. I've also heard people saying different figures were in same numbered bags and had numbers that weren't here. Research it more before accepting the numbers below as accurate.

I hit up Walmart this morning for a few essentials and was very surprised to find this, and cheaper than my Amazon pre-order too.

Hit up Walmart yesterday doing some birthday shopping for my daughter and found this set. It is so awesome! Had a good time assembling it. Man, they really spared no amount of detail. I really, really love this set!

And, for those wondering, here it is with the Reaction figures. They look pretty good standing next to it, but they won't fit inside. You could probably cut away the floor board and get them in there, but I would never dream of doing something like that to this beautiful car.

wow, that looks great! My set is still boxed, haven't had time to crack it open yet. And thanks for the Reaction comparison pics. They look good with it but I think the scale is a little too off to work.
