Sorry…was definitely a misread. 5” it is!Not sure if you misread or mistyped, but they’re 5” figures.
The art asylum is easily the best. Love those. But i really dig these new playmates too. I appreciate what they’re going for. More realistic than the 90’s line, yet not going for ultra realistic black series style, yet still toyetic.I really liked the sculpt detail on art asylum figures but the scale was outside my collecting focus.
I only recently got a few boxes from storage and was trying to sort through them to either sell off, donate and display just a few. Little did I realize that was more of a daunting task than I had though it would be and only made it so far, I did discover that I somehow acquired doubles of a couple. lolI believe the original line was Mainly for The Next Generation. And then at some point they started expanding to both DS9 and the Original Series. TOS had the box set of the whole crew. But I don't think they all got the red movie uniforms. Some had Motion Picture uniforms and some had the red ones. I do have a bunch of these figures in boxes in the closet though. One of these days I will pull them all out and see what I have.
I haven't come a cross a complete set of red movie uniforms only Kirk, Saavik and Scotty so far.
Yeah, at first I thought it was from the mid nineties until i saw parks & rec figure! lolThere is a lot going on in that picture!

Because the costume jacket was made from wool, and was quite heavy. Why are they called monster maroon?
It was nicknamed that by the cosplayers back in the day as it was one of the most difficult at the time to get close to screen accurate. Lots of little details. Why are they called monster maroon?
I am a bit worried as these figures do not seem to be moving that fast, was it a mistake to go 5" versus 4" or 6" I wonder?
Yeah, unfortunately for the rest of Trek.. I went in thinking it's gonna be some kiddie show, and while it is to a point being on Nickelodeon. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was done to walk that fine line between appealing to kids and adults. And the biggest thing was it stayed true to the Trek core ideals without being preachy.Yeah, it's a "kids show," but if you've watched it, it's probably the most Trek show of any of the new series. The crew making it aren't speaking down to kids.
Looks like Worf, LaForge, 7 of 9 silver catsuit, Spock Strange new worlds, Pike SNW, Q judges robes, and looks like these two reviewers missed a figure at the end in packaging and loose looks like it could be Capt Terrel from Wrath or Admiral Cartwright from Voyage/ Undiscovered. Exciting if this is the next wave.Update 2: There is apparently another wave. I hate linking YouTube videos but here you go:
