I picked up a Hasbro Ep 1 Naboo royal cruiser on ebay for $96 shipped (less than original retail price). I never bought one back in '99.

Pretty great toy for it's time. Hard to believe it's been 22 years since the release of Ep 1 toys.

It is a great toy. Only two things I wished they would've done to make it even better:
  • Lock down the panels so they don't open by just tipping the vehicle.
  • Vac-metalize the exterior ( I realize this would've probably jacked up the price a lot).

Were you able to get the exclusive astromech with yours?

Our youngest son was going nuts wanting this ship back then. I remember him getting all excited opening it up at a Chucky Cheese Pizza for his birthday. I was able to find it at a bit of a discount back then. I don't remember how much it was though.

Yep it came in the original box with the vulture droid and the red astromech.

Congrats nice ship good deal. That thing is huge I had mine out for the longest time but had to put it up because of space.

Target cancelled my Concept Series POP! order yesterday even though I approved the delay they asked for.

Target requires you to approve an order that is going to be delayed or they cancel your order; it should be if you don't respond, they assume you still want the order unless you cancel. They cancelled Vader, R2 and 3-PO; the only one they didn't cancel was Yoda. The original email showed all four POPs! and I'm sure there was only one approval button to click to delay the whole order, not a button for each.

I usually order from multiple companies to make sure situations like this don't leave me without the items I want, but I only ordered from Target this time. Fortunately, Gamestop had Vader, R2 and 3-PO in stock and they are already preparing the order to ship. I am going to cancel some of my outstanding orders from Target. I'd rather pay a little more from a company that is reliable.

Actually Target only requires that you approve a delay sometimes, which makes it even more confusing. They give you a link and instead of telling you that action is required, they suggest you check the link to see if an approval is needed. It's very strange. I feel your frustration.

I hate to say it, but I can't say any of these companies handle exclusives or pre-orders well. I have had issues with Target, Walmart, GameStop and Hot Topic. They've all screwed me over at one point or another. Walmart made up for their screw-up in a big way, but I think it was only because they screwed up there as well.

I received the replacement BS Captain Cardinal helmet today. It arrived in a huge box that had another huge box and packing bubbles that had the helmet box wrapped in bubble wrap and packing bubbles. The shipping box was over twice the size of the helmet box.

It wasn't too exciting since it's just getting returned to Target.

Regal Robot is now offering payment plans on a number of their very cool, but outrageously priced items. I would love to be able to get that life-sized Chewbacca bust, so I just checked out of curiosity and there's a down-payment of $768.90 and payments of $768.73 every month for the 5 months. That's higher than my Infiniti payment used to be. In some people's cases, that may be a mortgage payment.

I don't ever plan to get the Chewbacca bust just because it's $4,500. Plus I would have an added expense of creating a nice glass display case as I'm sure keeping him dust free would not be fun with all that hair.

He is definitely cool looking but I'm not liking the base looks too plain. I'm sure you could do a better looking one but you shouldn't have to for that price.

$6.99 regular
$25 two day
$30 next day

I figured if I am waiting a year, another couple of days is no big deal, so I went with regular.

That's it $6.99 wow so with tax the total was under $450? Did you notice if they take PayPal?

OFF TOPIC

It's a week away to the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League. Is anyone else excited about this? I am so looking forward to it and hope it is so much better than Joss Whedon's version. From the clips and what I have read, it should be. It's supposed to be a whole lot darker.

I wasn't aware they closed either I wonder if they had any big sales before they closed the doors?

I received an email that the Chandler store was closing soon. I tried to call the Santan store a week and a half ago and had no idea they had closed.

I'm glad I was not the only one unaware of San Tan closing. I felt bad and completely out of the loop. I'm really surprised that emails weren't sent out announcing the closure.

Yeah, I read that. Also more than one friend helped him with the build. Pretty cool.

Nobody helped me with my ship except that Desiree sewed up some sails for me. The entire thing was assembled by me alone and I think when people see it in person, they're going to be pretty amazed it was a one man construction process. My neighbor behind me asked how I was able to do the masts and sails alone.

I received an email to to receive text messages of promotions and news from Gentle Giant and I'm kind of afraid to sign up. Knowing them they'll crew it up and I'll start getting messages every hour or something. They are offering a 20% off coupon if you sign up, but don't state what it's good for. They also have an "Ask DST" announcement in their email and instruct you to click on the link below to ask questions, but they didn't include a link that I can tell.

ASM- The Rebelscum front page is reporting that the VC Endor Leia, Paploo and AT-ST driver will be available from Walmart on 3/15.

There's even a count down page.

If I can get free shipping or store pick-up on these I may go ahead and order them. Then I can see them in person and decide if I want to keep them or not.

I received my VC Greef Karga. Completely opposite of the Captain Cardinal helmet I received yesterday, this was packed in a box smaller than the card, so the card was bowed to fit and there was a big red barcode sticker slapped on the front. It doesn't matter to me, but it makes me mad anyway.

Oh and yesterday I returned the Captain Cardinal helmet to Target. The customer service rep asked if there was anything wrong and I told her I never opened it. I just found a better price. Then she pulled out a box knife and cut the tape. I told her "You realize the value of that item just dropped about $20?". She said she knew, but she has to check it. So sad.

So now there's an opened box Captain Cardinal helmet at Gilbert & Germann and someone may be able to get it at a discounted price.

I guess I'm curious to see how different it is from the original. I'm not really a fan of JL or the BvS movie.

Batman vs Superman didn't bother me too bad. There were a few things I would've preferred different. Like it seemed Batman changed his attitude way too easily Once he heard "Martha". I loved Man of Steel.

Justice League missed the mark in a lot of places and it didn't tie in with the first movie at all. Kind of like TLJ.

One major difference is it's 4 hours long.
