Sounds like other cons may be following in a weapons ban in the future.

I found a place with $4 margaritas so it's all good right now

Day two and we're back home. Got there at 8am this morning to meet all the Star Wars groups outside with our bins full of costume parts and we were escorted inside. They had a dressing area if we needed and a place to store our bins while we were away. We weren't even checked for anything.

We did the Mando and 501st photo shoot and then did the Mando Death march through part of the con and back upstairs. Then after doing a lot of photos with people we went on another march and ended up downstairs. At that point Desiree and I were getting hungry (around noon) and headed out to the Kilt again for burgers and beers. Then we came back to the con and it took all of two minutes to get back in. The cops were very cool every time I dealt with them and the con staff is being really cool too.

Got to see and talk to GSR a few times. Saw some friends of Desiree's. Talked to the pirate guy again and showed him pictures of my ship and pirate display and he REALLY wants me to join. Had a great day and now we're getting cleaned up to head back out to a Mando pool party.

Pic of Desiree and me

Ultra-Sabers Kicked out of PCC for not complying.

What a crazy con this turned out to be! I wonder if this will hurt PCC's reputation and people will avoid it in the future.
I have mixed feelings on this. It's a no win situation for everyone.
This is affecting local businesses. Every year the Tilted Kilt is slammed full of people. Now attendees are so afraid of long lines getting back in they never leave the con. We walked into the Kilt around noon and it was probably 90% empty. Other businesses have to be feeling it too.

This does not surprise me at all. We usually eat at a sandwich place about 2 blocks away. This year we feared another long line so we stayed and ate at the convention center, food was ok, but I felt like I was back at Walt Disney World price wise for less quality. Hindsight now we probably could have left without an issue of getting back in after lunch as that was when things started to sort themselves out on the security front. Oh well. I can't go back and change it now.

Ended up buying BS6 Emperor's Guard, Qui-Gon, Lando and Tusken Raider for $25 each. Only about $3 more than they would've been on the shelf and with the way Hasbro's been handling distribution, I figured I might as well do it. He wanted $35 for Baze and Chirrut. He said that the distribution on those two figures has been really bad. I have them on pre-order with EE, so hopefully that'll work out anyway.
I saw the same deal, but passed. I think the case comes with Emperor's Guard, Qui-Gon, Lando and Tusken Raider and repacks of K2SO and Krennic. K2 sells well but that Krennic is going to peg warm.

Another booth ("The Toys I Used to Have", I think) had Raddus, Selfa and Erso for $8 each, not a bad price but I already had them.

Mine haven't shipped yet, so I may have to look into that. Tomorrow is my shopping day and we're hitting the sales floor. No costume.

I feel bad, I got busy with work and my mom was thinking of coming this weekend and she wouldn't commit and I was trying to figure out when I'd be free to meet up

Comicon is over.

We had lunch at the Kilt and it was way busier today. Then we headed over to the con and started walking the aisles. Picked up the 40th Death Squad Commander for $25 and a few Mando stickers for me and Rebel and Jedi stickers for Desiree. Nobody had Rey on speeder Pop! and it sounded like they couldn't get them either.

I checked out a place that GSR let me know about with Figuarts figures and I was tempted to get the Tank Driver, but it was $60 and I checked Amazon and it was only $49 Prime. I asked the guy if he'd do $49 since I can get it off Amazon and he wouldn't, so I walked.

Never found the place ILuvToyz referred to.

We ended up with free parking since we were on the motorcycles and the parking arm wouldn't activate for us, so the attendant (somewhere) raised it remotely and then did the same to let us out. I don't feel bad because we parked both bikes in a spot that a car couldn't even fit in, so they lost no parking due to us. And also yesterday we were charged $27 even after getting it validated, I figure we just paid $13.50 for yesterday and today and then $12 on Friday, so overall, parking was super cheap.

I opened my new BS6 figures that I picked up at PCC...

Lando- Worst of the bunch. His coloring seems a bit pale and he's far too short compared to the other figures. The gold on the bottom of the cape is far too shiny and looks more metallic than furry or fabric like I always took it to be. The communication device is nice, but can be easily lost.

Death Squad Commander- I will want multiple of these if possible because the helmet is removable and he can be used as a generic Imperial. There is no rank on his chest though. He also has a very usable holster.

Imperial Guard- The armor under the cloak is basically Kir Kanos in red. You can tuck the edge of the cloak under his helmet and he looks very cool for a total action pose. Again with a usable holster.

Qui-Gon- I'm very surprised he did not come with a cloak. He does have an extra left hand in a "Jedi mind trick" position.

Tusken Raider- Hoping to get many more of these too and Hasbro did this one correctly. Not only do you get a rifle and a gaffi stick, but you get three different ends to the gaffi stick, so you could have four Tuskens with different weapons. Normally I'm not a fan of soft goods, but the fabric used for the cloak really works. The other nice thing is it would be super easy to add weathering to the cloak and make multiple Tuskens differ from each other.

Not disappointed in getting any of these even though each one was about $3 more than I would've paid at a store.

I ended up doing the same, they were just a bit cheaper online. I was also super tempted by the Bandai Scout Trooper model kit, but didn't want to pay $50 and forgot to go back at the end of the show and see if they'd take $40

Despite all the BS from the beginning of the show, PCC ended up being fun still. The crowds definitely felt lighter than the last couple years so I'm interested if we'll see numbers. The only thing I ended up buying were a couple stickers.

I saw someone buying Episode 1 figures and I thought to myself "I have that, why are you paying $7 for a Senator Palpatine? If I knew which bin it was in I'd sell it to you for $2." Then I started noticing how many of the booths are a hodgepodge and thought about setting up a booth next year to get rid of my old stuff.

Hopefully they figure out a good system for getting through security quickly for next year (and probably FanFest in November). I'd like to see it where when you go through security that should be a badge check as well. It's a very slight annoyance for me when you enter the exhibit hall and your badge has turned around without you knowing and they stop you as you're going in to check it. I'd imagine it's even worse for cosplayers who like to keep their badges hidden. Move registration back to the south building and make the entire north & west buildings secure.

I usually take lots of pictures of people and on Sunday I tried something I've been forgetting to do for a long time now. I printed out little cards to give to the people with how to find me on social media to find their pictures.

Do it! And take other people's items as well to make a larger booth and then take a percentage of the sale price. If it sells, you make money. I have some stuff I could get rid of still in packaging and I know Ground Trooper does. You could be picky about what you take from others too. It if looks like crap that would never sell, don't take it. If it looks like something you could make a profit on, then do it. You could even attempt to sell other's items for more than they're asking and retain the extra as more profit.

Any idea on what a booth costs?

Not me. Sith Sense may know because I believe he's worked some booths before.
I asked a friend who usually has a booth in Artist's Alley. Now this is for Artists only, I would assume the regular vendor floor pricing is different.
He pays $300 for a 10'x10' space in Artist's Alley for the full event.

I am sure that vendor floor is different maybe higher. But it is a starting point for reference.

I just received UPS notice that my GameStop order of the two AT-ACTs is arriving tomorrow.

I wonder if the packaging is going to be as jacked up as it was with the BS6 TIE Fighter I bought from them.

OFF TOPIC - I just submitted my Tickets for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 for my Disney Movie Rewards points.

It dawned on me as I was submitting them, hey I should get extra points for these. I saw a Disney Movie on a Disney Property in Orlando. #justsayin'

I received my two today. They shipped them in the Hasbro case which fits two AT-ACT boxes, mine were in good shape.

In case anyone is interested in the Mercs pics...

I am on the far left and Desiree is on the next row to my right in Black and Red behind the orange Mando.

And here's a pic with the 501st (helmets off).

I'm at the top, three in from the right and Desiree is just below me on the right.

So is the BS6 Tusken Raider in three different waves? It looks like it's in 40th Wave 2, BS6 Wave 10 and Wave 11. I'm glad to hear this because it's an excellent figure, an army builder and since it comes with essentially 4 different weapons, can be displayed as four different Tusken Raiders.

Dorkside has Tusken Raider, Lando and Emperors Guard up for preorder individually for $21.99 Limit 3 each. I ordered 3 ERGs and one TR to get free shipping.

Edit: The Royal Guard listing just disappeared. I wonder if the listing was an error or it just pre-sold out. A vendor at comic con said that Hasbro was selling solid cases of Lando and the Tusken Raider for sure and possibly the Royal Guard also.

I received both of my AT-ACTs.

I haven't decided if I need three AT-ACTs and want to get rid of one yet, but I figured I would check if there is any interest on the forum.

Anyone interested?

Sealed in box AT-ACT $92.14
