Is anyone aware of the Japanese Pepsi Star Wars Episode 1 Bottlecap being "slightly" modified and reissued by another company?
I picked up a set of 21 figurines that, upon close examination, I realized were nearly identical to the Japanese Pepsi Star Wars Episode 1 bottlecaps. The only variations are that these figurines come with a mounting base that appears to be the same as those that came with the Bandai Pokemon Stadium gashapon (Japanese toy vending machines). the figures either have a "mounting tube" attached to them or a hole formed in the figure and they all have, in raised letters/numbers, CHINA and a number - 1 to 21, either on the figure of the mounting tube.
Each figure is individually bagged and the bags have a little "pencil eraser" sized hole on either side. I don't think they would have been included in a container of food with those holes in the bags.
