A glaring Mandalorian omission filled. The gun attached to the jetpack is a nice touch.

Anyone feeling extra spendy can do the gun for Season 1 and a second with the Blade/Shield combo for BOBF :)

Agreed^ Looking pretty good other than as Etain mentioned the head does look tiny on that body, guessing this means the helmet is not removable. So yes I'll be buying it but I'm definitely not thrilled to be paying $27 for it, I'd be fine with $24.99 because at least here you're getting some bulk and a "lager" weapon but realistically it shouldn't be more than Morak Fett at $20.

As for the shield I bough the Mission Fleet Mandalorian for that, much cheaper than buying multiple Paz figures! lol

Funny enough, I've got about 5 or so of the mission fleet shields just for my vintage collection mandos. Paz looks like it's just slightly bigger than those. He's a big boy so his shield needs to be bigger.;)

Looks reasonably good, little chunky/clunky but I guess that's part of the deal, wish the brown plastic bit was cloth so he won't be restricted when it comes to sitting/posing.

I wasn't expecting and nor do I want it, just making an observational joke about the head size.

This guy is two years too late. As much as he has a unique aesthetic, they have wildly overproduced mandalorian figures lately and now I just don't care anymore.

(kind of how both live action and animation have so overused mandalorian characters as to rob them of all mystique. Mandalorians are now deeply boring.)

That is exactly what they did. Just because in my opinion they have nothing else new to offer. There is zero creativity,

Glad he's being released, though the proportions look off, almost like an animation / live action crossover. The brighter color pallet also gives it that feel, his overall appearance seemed much darker / dingy in the series. Not looking forward to the likely $27 pricpeoint, might have to let this one go on sale as well, lol.

He's a neat figure for sure. The coming late bit is also true, but his BOBF reappearance certainly made him a little more relevant to now -- and made him a little more screen-accurate vs the early TBS one. Same as IG-11.

Let's see if he pops up in Mando Season 3. I would presume yes since The Armorer is per the trailer.

If you think it's bad now, wait until after season 3! 🤣

I agree he's late, but I think the figure (and collectors) sort of benefit from it because we'll get the shield now too (I don't remember that or the knife from season 1). I'd rather that than a character get re-released for its accessories.

Great looking figure. This one has been a long time coming. We should have had him a couple of years ago. Can't wait to get him.

On who's part though, Hasbro's or LFL's? Because you have to remember that LFL does have say so on what happens in this line, and it may also be their fault for not being as creative with new characters and prefer to keep revisiting older ones.

I'd argue there is plenty new to offer if Hasbro wanted to, they simply lack the budget to do so. As for creativity I will agree that they don't utilize reuse as well as they could to offer new characters with a combination of existing and new parts. Heck in some cases they can't even do the most obvious and simplest ones like the tan Mon Cal Officer repaint, which they should have done long ago because that sculpt is now considered out of date by many.

One I've been harping on for a decade is a new head sculpt and repaint for Jocasta Nu to get Atris from KotOR! Now they actually have a dedicated sub line for these types of releases so it does give me hope they might actually "think" of it on their own after the 40th trooper repaint.

Mandalorians, well we had to know one this new show started that we were now going to be inundated with them because it happened with Clones already. And while a lot of people possibly got Clone fatigue they are still a strong contender/seller to this day or Hasbro wouldn't release them so often. It is a bummer that we've had to wait so long to get any besides Din, that now they're here in full force it feels like overload. And that I can blame Hasbro for because they could have staggered them out further apart from each other.

Nice figure but I don't like the peg hole in center inbetween the tri-barrels for the blast effect, it looks kinda crappy.

What I really meant was the Disney streaming shows. The Toys of course(except for classic OT) have to follow what is going on in current media. Also, I'm no Fan of LFL at all.

Sorry, you're thinking of the updated Artillery Stormtrooper...

Glad this is finally coming. I'm not as sick of Mandalorians as some here are, and this guy is a prominent individual character and simmering antagonist to the main hero of the biggest current Star Wars storyline. So I'm excited for him.

Plus, you know, I'm contractually obligated to get a new Vizsla.

The unique design will surely be a big selling point for those that are tired of repaints and too many mandos, while the anticipated pricepoint is what will leave many questioning the release. I think most of us support new media characters, but many are equally concerned with pricepoints that are pushing consumers away. Hopefully if its $27, the pre-orders on Amazon will slowly get lowered to $20, just like with the Dark Trooper. The $20.99 pricepoint is more than enough for deluxe figures that come with normal accessories. I think $27 should be reserved for mini battlepacks / multipacks, where you get a large figure, accessories, and then a little droid or creature - there should be some perceived value in this assortment.

^ the Amazon price drop on dark trooper only occurred to compete w/ target's coupon code that many had thier target preorder adjusted. And I think Amazon discount was not normal as they typically do not price match to temp. coupon code discounts. And Amazon quickly raised price back to 26.49

Cool, however it happened, hopefully we see more of it. I pre-ordered at $27, and then came back a month later (or whenever it occurred), and the price was updated to just under $20 - I didn't request it though, just fell under the automatic price match guarantee. Ideally, more of these big companies would compete for sales of these absolutely non-essential items, slowly slapping down the overly inflated prices in order to get our business. Maybe between Target and Amazon, they can eliminate the $27 pricepoint.

After looking at this figure and comparing it to others I honestly don't see why it couldn't have been placed on TVC card, simply position the accessories accordingly and based on several they could place his blaster along side and the jetpack behind. If people were fine paying $21 for Morak Fett then I don't see it being an issue for Paz. I feel the DLX box should be used specifically for a true Deluxe type figure or 2-pk.

Now if Paz is going to be $27 then I see why Hasbro wants to use the box to give the buyer perceived value as it seems larger than a TVC cardback, otherwise I'm sure some will see it and think why is a basic looking TVC figure $27. Which at this point with all the various price points I don't know why it even matters, between the fan channel repaints at $17 while basic is $15 and certain TVC Exclusives at $20 I don't think there's a valid claim of a standard MSRP. I mean if that's the case then we'll likely never see ANH Luke with a chest on a TVC card and instead will be placed in one of those boxes.

IDK, I think Hasbro really does need to rethink this and I'm not the staunchest TVC carded purest.

Indeed. Which is why I think Mando Season 3 will be the worst yet. The general public, who flocked to the show largely due to a cute puppet, isn't going to give a fu¢k about a Mandalorian civil war. And neither will I.

I’m starting to see a trend with these mainline deluxe figures. If I had to guess, the reason why the initial MSRP is nearly $30 is because these mainline deluxe figures have required new sculpts, which can cost a lot. They don’t get packed in waves, either, so you either buy it or you don’t like vehicles, playsets, etc.

Bingo. I caught wind of that when TBS Jar-Jar got released.

It may be cynical, but I think Hasbro's thought process is less "Can we release this on a regular card?" and more "Can we release this on a deluxe card?"
