Thoughts on this release? Who's going to be picking this one up?

Hopefully its the OT version since its the most iconic of the three options and we already have a prequel Obi-Wan available. Although I would like to see TPM and AOTC versions eventually.

I'm also hopeful for ANH Kenobi, and want to see an Old Ben before they round out the prequel versions. I also
hope he has a quality soft goods robe and Hasbro doesn't cheap out and exclude it.

Ill be be a very happy camper if we get Old Ben sooner rather than later. I haven't bought an Obi Wan since Legacy 09, so I'm ready!

I don't expect to see a robe on him, but this is THE figure for me. Assuming he is ANH, and he comes out well, he'd be the absolute apex of my figure collecting experience.

If they don't include the robe, he'll basically be "Hanging out in the hovel or on the Falcon Obi-Wan", but man... I'd still buy it.

I'm sure hoping it's ANH Obi Wan. And it would be great to have his robe included. That would be a bummer if Hasbro doesn't include it.

Assuming this is a good list I'll be happy with any of the 3 versions left. Obi is up there with Luke and Han for me. Any version is welcome.

I would be very happy with a Mandalorian armor Obi-wan. Hasbro can reuse the ROTS head sculpt along with a modified version of the Boba Fett's body.

Is it definative that the 6" line is only dedicated to film based costumes?

If there is one figure I want more than anything from this line is episode IV Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi. But for this to be done right it must come with hooded cloak that sits on his head just right and ofcourse a great Alec Guiness likeness. All we need for accessories is the old hermit 's light saber.

-Hopefully it's "Old Ben Kenobi". They've already made the only PT Obi-wan I wanted in this scale. And now that I think about it, I still need to get it.

Anakin and Qui-Gon's lightsaber hilts would be a nice little added bonus for me.

I would be happy enough with that. Sure, I'd love all kinds of extra accesories, but a lightsaber and a cloak are two things an ANH Obi-Wan Needs. He's wearing the cloak most of the time, so I'd be surprised if it wasn't included. I think the ROTS Obi-Wan was more the duel Obi-Wan and that's why he did not come with a cloak.

Ep. I Obi-Wan would be a huge step back, in my opinion. It's the absolute worst version of Obi-Wan, and it would only make prequel-lovers demand figures of little Annie and Jar Jar. And Hasbro might even listen.

I think that, despite all the fun it is to speculate, we can be 95% certain that this is just a re-release of the same ROTS Obi-Wan. Considering dorksidetoys has absolutely no idea themselves, I wouldn't take their preorder listing of the item as any evidence to go one way or the other. And nothing would make me happier than to see an ANH Obi-Wan.

TPM Obi is a huge want for me, but I don't ever want a young Ani or Jar Jar in this line. So I see your subjective assumption and raise you an assumed widespread opinion.

And other people could put TPM Obi in the same category as the young Ani or Jar Jar in terms of it's association with TPM. As I do. The only EpI figure - in my opinion - worth making was Darth Maul, and they made him.

I wouldn't mind a destroyer droid (which you could say was from any of the PT films) or Sebulba - otherwise I'm one of the "other people" you're talking about. With a very few exceptions, the character designs from Episode I did not translate very well to action figures. TPM Obi-Wan is by far my least favorite look for the character. I'd rather have Ghost Obi-Wan done with three points of articulation like he was as a POTF 3.75" figure.

I'm really hoping for the ANH version. And they better give him a damn robe. I'd pay 30.00 for him.

If anything I would say that reinforces that this will be, if not ANH Obi, at least a new version of him.

I doubt they would repack him twice so quickly, as none of the other figures mentioned in the same group (IG-88, Leia Bouschh, Cody) are anywhere to be found on that list of waves as we are talking seemingly about the wave after the Bossk one.

Yeah I can't see them repacking him twice already. Its not like he is that high in demand. So it should likely be a new version.

Also, it looks like wave 6 will have two repacks as well from that list, with the TIE Fighter and Chewbacca. Was hoping C-3PO would be ready by then.

I think demand will pick up once more Anakins are out on the pegs. Kinda like you'd think that more Jabbas would sell more Slave Leias.

Just like when C-3PO comes out... Those overlooked R2's are gonna be pretty hot.

Old Obi-Wan Kenobi has been brought up here. It'd be great if they got this one done and out of the way at long last.

Love Obi-Wan - this would be an insta-buy for me, sadly before I even see the sculpt. Here's hoping for robes the quality of the emperor's.

I would love it if they didn't use soft goods, but this is the BS, so instead I'll hope they don't look as bad as they usually do. At least maybe the inner robes will be plastic so I can just display him without the soft goods if they look terrible.

I bet ol' Rickror is already gearing up to sell a pile of new robes for this guy, you can practically see the dollar signs in his eyes.

Picked up a Luke from the first wave while R2 and the sandtrooper were there... You don't even know how bad I am hating myself for making such a choice :'(

One of my most anticipated releases since the start of this line. I'm optimistic that this will be fantastic, but in all honesty I want this one so much that I'll likely get it even if it's a mediocre effort.
