Since we have threads up for the Snow Rex and the Snow clones I thought it made sense to start a thread up on Obi-Wan Kenobi in snow gear as seen in the Clone Wars episode Trespass.

As of this post Hasbro has no plans to release this figure, however with Hasbro keeping an eye on things here's your place to share your thoughts on seeing Obi-Wan in snow gear being made.

I'd be up for buying it, the uniform is a nice nod to ESB and would make a nice change from the usual Obi-Wan figure.

As I said in the snow gear anakin, I would buy, but throw in both hoods. They could also have the goggles removable in a similar manner as snow job (from gi joe). Count me in, they would look great in my old hoth imperial base playset.

Definite buy!

I noticed while watching Tresspass again that this could be made with Plo Koon-style up-and-down hood pieces.

Would make a great figure, just like Anakin would.

A BP with Rex and some other Clones would be nice

As with Anakin, if they make snow clones too, I'd buy one.

I agree though I'll still get it since he doesnt need to be SA beacuse all he did was talk in the episode. He should come with a hilt that attaches to the belt since he did not use his lightsaber at all.

Even still Hasbro will toss in a lightsaber for him for play value.

I'd buy this figure anyday, beats seeing the older Obi-Wan on the shelves anyday.

Your honor, in the interest of time, may the record reflect that for every single thread in the future of Rebelscum Hasbro boards, the need for every item to be "SA" be presumed?

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi - Orto Plutonia (Snow Gear)

These snow figures don't need to be SA for me to buy them. The current articulation on the male Jedi will work just fine since they didn't pull any cool poses in the episode.
But if they release those speeders they would need to sit... so now I really just ended up confusing myself.

This is very cool. Really reminds me of the Mcquarrie concepts or the Hoth Rebel troopers.

IMO every figure does not need "SA" treatment, if done right I don't mind those "salt shaker" figures at all! Only action oriented figure need to be "SA" such a sJedi and Clones, Senators and the like do not IMO.

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi - Orto Plutonia (Snow Gear)

Obi-Wan is now on tap for a 2010 release.

From 16bit.com:
2. Here's a question we'd never thought we'd ask in a post-Batman world-- when can we expect snow suit versions of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker?

A2. We are delighted to be bringing some alternate forms of these characters to the line! Look for both of them to find their way into the 2010 Clone Wars basic figure lineup.

Great news, i will definitely be picking one up, same goes for the Anakin in snow gear. Captain Rex and troops can't be too far behind *fingers crossed*

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi - Orto Plutonia (Snow Gear)

I will definitely welcome these figures into my collection, I just wish Hasbro would release these figures in a more relavent timeframe. 2010 seems a little far removed from when these characters were featured in the series. It would be even better if this figure was released with the Freco Speeder. I suppose that's asking too much.

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi - Orto Plutonia (Snow Gear)

I love the look of these guys but it seems a bit late to be getting these into the rotation. Snow Rex would have been the smarter choice.

The Ben variants are getting pretty heavy for this line.

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi - Orto Plutonia (Snow Gear)

It's not so bad at the moment, we only have Space Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan in his normal Clone Wars clothes (statue and articulated versions). A third version isn't that bad since he'll hit the pegs in like 6 months time anyway when the existing Obi-Wans are already long gone from toy shelves.

Yeah and to be fair they are legit costume changes. Its not like its the same Vader rehash over and over. Plus the kids need the main guys.

From my POV I loved that episode and will be buying the lot

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi - Orto Plutonia (Snow Gear)

I didn't like (and therefore didn't buy) the "Space" versions of CW heroes, but would get this Obi-Wan and Anakin if given the chance. I'd feel better if they were in a Battle Pack with Senator Riyo Chuchi and Chairman Chi Cho (2 figures who wouldn't sell on their own but would make for a fantastic Battle Pack).

Rex can sell on this own card, so no need to include him in a fantasy BP.

Does anybody know if we're getting an animated Talz?

I was hoping for the kind of hoods they gave Plo Koon. One removable hood up & one down with rubberized removable goggles.

Yeah completely agree. That hood up/hood down clip on should be the way all figures are done.

I'll have to pick up another Freeco Speeder now that Snow Anakin has laid claim to my first and only one.

Looks like Obi Wan will be hood up. Was it ever confirmed that Anakin was ONLY coming with hood down?

Also just noticed he's doing his famous Peace Symbol of Doom gesture.

Hopefully he'll fit in the Freeco Speeder with his hood up. It would be a shame if he couldn't ride in it.

good eyes Arctrooper4043, obi is coming with the hood up unlike snow ani. and the hand gesture is a nice touch, it looks like it can even hold a saber (again, unlike snow ani's open palmed right hand.)
