definitely SA legs, and I think that's really all an improved Obi-Wan would need.

A helmet that fits his head. Just like Cody.

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi (w/added articulation)

I'd like to see him in a BP with Ventress from the movie, he should have a soft goods skirt with knee and ankle articulation that would make for a fully possible version and I loved the first figure and would love this one as well! Oh and you could have battle droids with light saber damage or something I don't know...

As far as the head and helmet issue: I just don't see that working, he's hair is way to big, so we'd either get a lot smaller hair sculpted onto the head or a lot larger (out of scale helmet) either way doesn't matter I'm gonna pop the orginal figures head on there if they do that.

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi (w/added articulation)

I say no to the helmet idea. It is much better having swappable heads than a removable helmet that results in either a supersized helmet or an undersized head. Just take the existing figure and give him clone legs from the knee down and add in the ball joint hands and we are set.

When I picked up the 212th battle pack and got him I was like what the ---? This is about articulated as p.o.t.f. 2.

Soft goods skirt and articulated legs. It will be exactly like BM Anakin.

Soft skirt, knee and ankle articulations and ball jointed wrists like the clones.

That would be a cool Obi-Wan figure

Yeah a kitbash with the clone trooper would be perfect and with an added softgoods skirt just like anakin's. Heck I'd like to see that anakin offered on a basic card at some point too.

Agreed. And if they correct the color of Anakin's soft-goods, I might even buy it! Although the blue-skirt one I've got at least excuses the difference in color between the plastic & soft-goods on my custom Dark Sora Bulq

I skipped Obi-Wan, and never saw the 212th BP (was it really online-only? That might explain it...) so this is good news for me.

Also, a better chance at soft-goods somewhat matching.. they've got tons of beige fabric around, it seems!

It'd be fun, also, if he had a hilt (repack of ROTS) and a place on his belt to attach it.

I miss that feature. It wasn't used nearly enough, and hardly as well as it was on ROTS Obi-Wan.

No, the 212th pack (along with the Yoda one) showed up in stores. I saw 5 of each at a Target last week. Had to pass on them at the time though, and haven't had a chance to go back. I'm sure after Black Friday they're long gone.

I went to Target on my lunch break, they had about 5 of both battle packs.

How about a version that can actually sit in his own starfighter! Stick the existing version in, and he rises up like he soiled the seat!

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi (w/added articulation)

I'm not a big fan of the soft goods skirts. I like the sg robes, but the sg skirts don't blend very well imo. The way they did the sg on the Obiwan and Anakin that came out earlier this year where there was some sg under the plastic skirt was fine. But doing a skirt entirely out of sg just looks out of place to me.

It needs to be at least like this or better.

I vote for better.
The softgoods not matching ruin it for me.

Nice!
This is how the figure should have been from the start.

I'm sure it was the same as mine:

-The legs are from the dirty version of the regular clone trooper
-The wrists are also from the dirty clone
-Then boil and pop the legs and swap the legs and wrsits.
-Finally, color the upper thighs black.

Easy!!

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi (w/added articulation)

If you want to preserve the donor clone, you can do what I did.

1) Cut Obi's legs off at the knee.
2) Drill holes into the knees that are slightly smaller than the clones knee peg.
2.5) Use the bullet head dremel accessory and round out Obi's knee area to get a better fit. This is otional but does yield better results.
3) Insert the clone knees while the plastic is still soft from the heat of drilling.
4) Paint the white area on Obi's knees black. Once again, this is optional as not much white shows after cutting.
5) Take Obi's left over lower legs and glue them to the donor clone.
6) Swap hands.

You could also splice in the hips from a GI Joe figure to make him Hyper Articulated, but that is a real pain.

I've been holding off on the Obi-wan surgery for a while, maybe I'll just hold out 'til a proper version is released

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi (w/added articulation)

Yeah pretty much just sacrificed a clean clone for this. chopped off the upper thighs and glued em to obiwan, painted the clone armor parts black, swapped out those [censored] clone wrists, and added the weathering. the soft goods skirt doesn't match up but it's better than nothing so far

makes for an easy mod especially after picking up the b'omarr battlepack with a sa anakin i couldn't wait till they made an obi with added legs and soft goods.

Oh, so you can do a straight Boil/Pop with the legs? No cutting or gluing? (I thought I had read somewhere that the clone's legs wouldn't fit into the sockets of Obi's hip holes)

Wow! That looks just great. What a fine cloth too! What is it called, rough leather? One minor critique, the color doesn't match the other parts of the tunika/ tabbards 100%.

Agreed, wonder what Kenobi is wearing in that picture? Don't think we've seen that yet.

I'm hoping it will be a regular obi wan without armor but he wears armor most of the time in the cartoon so that might be too much to hope for.
