Apparently there's a Force Ghost Obi-Wan coming as an exclusive to some store:

Well they mixed both styles of Force Ghosts and it looks ****!

Wish it was like the OTC one... That was done right!

Well, I'm a fan of Obi-Wan and kind of a sucker. I'll buy one. I'll probably have to ask my friends from a different area to pick one up for me, because my local store never even got the Emperor's Wrath Vader or the C-3PO.

It does look weird as if Kenobi was slowly fading into a ghost but his torso and head remain corporeal. Phantom limb Been anyone?

In my opinion holograms should be solid clear blue with shading, not force ghosts.

The TAC Anakin is pretty good too. A light layers of paint on a clear figure with that pearly shimmer.

Just disappointed with the route they went.

I love it instant buy for me. I would love for them to make a spirit Yoda, and Anakin while they are at it.

Reminds me of those Star Trek Transporter Series figures from Playmates Toys. (Feel better now, JJ Abrams!)

If, and I do mean IF (my local store is getting pretty bad with lack of exclusives) I see this in store, I'll decide upon the final release colors. I feel like this one still has some changes coming to it.

I actually really like this one. I'll pick 2 up because of that sweet box.

Looks amazing. Definitely looks like the most accurate attempt at a Force ghost yet. The idea that they should be "all clear" is laughable. Those cheap menthol mint Force ghost figures from the past were cheap, poorly done crap. You can barely see through them in the movie and arguably not at all through his head. The OTC one was better but not quite right either. The Force ghosts definitely have a blue tint to them which that one didn't have. The cape on this one especially is just genius in the way it replicates the bluish hue. I think making him more blue around the extremities is a way to try and replicate the blue halo effect around the character, which cannot be done for real in a toy. It's a clever idea and I think it creates a nice compromise that does create the impression of the correct, accurate appearance of the Force ghosts, Regardless, this is absolutely THE BEST attempt at making an accurate-looking Force ghost figure yet.

I only wish they could have included extra hands when he does his 'don't give to hate' gesture.

So are you saying he should be all transparent blue?

Hologram figures have always been releases in either transparent blue or purple. Spirit Obi-Wan has always appeared on screen more "full color" with a translucent shadow around him. I like this much better than the salt shaker spirit POTF2 or the spirit three pack we got from Hasbro in the early POTF2 days.

No, reread my post again.

I don't like how is hands and feet are solid blue, looks wierd and inaccurate.

I'm wondering if the hands can be removed to simulate the arm pose when he appeared on Hoth.

Okay, I gotcha now.

It's interesting how Hasro consisting uses "spirit" instead of "ghost" for the Force ghost figures.

I suppose its befitting. Besides the negative connotation, ghosts are typically defined as spirits having difficulty crossing the realm between the living and non-living. I suppose 'ghost' isn't entirely out of the equation if they get around to doing a netherworld Palpatine. :D
