Based on its appearance in Ahsoka, the E-Wing features a retractable landing gear, as well as a sliding canopy cockpit and a removable panel store cargo within. Included in the box is a cheeky Vintage Collection debut in the form of KE4-N4, the droid partner of New Republic pilot Lieutenant Callahan. In the Expanded Universe, the E-Wing was the first starfighter to be designed for exclusive use with the latest R7 astromech models. While we don’t know definitively just what kind of astro unit KE4 is, they’re making their debut ahead of their comrade alongside the E-Wing.

KE4 will come on their own retro-styled, Vintage Collection cardback—and while Hasbro wouldn’t confirm whether or not the E-Wing’s pilot is on the way as a separate release... well, perhaps it would be safe to assume that at some point your shiny new spaceship toy is going to have someone you can slide into the cockpit.

The Vintage Collection E-Wing will cost $100, and is set to release sometime in fall 2024. Preorders begin later today, February 7, at 1 p.m. ET on Hasbro Pulse, for a limited-time window closing at 11:59 p.m. ET on March 5.

New Republic E-Wing & KE4-N4. Code-named "Elton".

E-Wing is based on it's appearance in the Ahsoka show. Canopy slides forward. Top panel is removeable to allow placing KE4 into the socket. There is also a cargo storage compartment behind the socket to allow storage of miscellaneous accessories. Has retractable landing gear that fold up into the ship body and are secured by door panels.

KE4-N4 looks to use the build-a-droid sculpt, but has a newly tooled head. Will come carded.

The pilot and owner of KE4, Lt. Callahan, has also been pipelined.

I’m really impressed with the design/scaling for the E-Wing. It looks like a replica of the one we saw in Ahsoka. Great job all around.

I also think this was a good investment for new tooling for a vehicle. I can’t imagine Filoni or Favreau not using the E-Wing in future Mandoverse projects, so I’m sure we’ll see it again which will give Hasbro a chance to repaint/repack it in the future.

Got one preordered. That is a long time dream come true! I've wanted an E-Wing since the first time I read Dark Empire back in the 90's. The Action Fleet toy was great, but well the wrong scale!

I really hope they reuse that droid to make a Kenner R2-D2.

Whoa...where'd this come from? Who saw this coming? Talk about blindsided...in a good way. Whoa, hey, ah...this is awesome. Instant pre-order. I was so happy to see the E-Wing re-canonized. Now, here's hoping it gets some action in the Mando movie.

Now, here's hoping for the A-Wing and yellow Y-Wing to get new decos and reissued in TVC. Why not throw in a TIE Interceptor too?

Yeah, I've always wondered that myself. I don't see it, but maybe I'm missing some angle. I always argued the B-Wing should be a "T" wing.

B-Wing got that designation because the prop team for ROTJ was told to create two new fighters and designated them 'Fighter A' and 'Fighter B', which then just stuck, with the happy accident that the A-Wing could look like an A, thus leaving the B-Wing out in the cold.
