Navarro Cantina Playset

I'm up for this playset. If it's going to something like a backdrop, a table and some seating, I imagine it could double as a Tatooine cantina setting as well. Will it be modular and/or expandable like the Tantive set and Carbon Freeze set?

Is this street side(door/entrance)? Or just interior booths/bar/etc.? Or a bit of both?

Either way, awesome, now they need to keep cranking out all the obscure bounty hunter guild members to fill it with!
When the hit goes up on Mando and the Yoby, that panning scene in the bar where all their tracking fobes light up in succession , was one of the best in the franchise.

And if Mando playsets are really an option, also give us the Mando covert -Armorer's Forge.

Yes, a Mando-themed playset was due and I was hoping it was next on tap after a string of OT ones.

So very curious to see it. The wait will be long.

I’ll be curious to see what they come up with. It was used A LOT in season 1.

One feature I'm sure it will have would be a removable or swappable back window wall for the episode 7/8 shootout

And I also think this set will give us season 1 grief carga

This is the one I was hoping for, mainly because the pack-in could have been Din/Fett repaints for any of the numerous Mandalorians from several scenes in S1. Either a Death Watch, or the one that looks Pops Covert Mandalorian. And the forge itself could have featured a light up hologram for the flames. Not sure this would fit the $50 price point though just being a forge and a figure, so maybe two figues?

Wha? Navarro? Where is a Tatooine Cantina? It's only one of the most iconic settings in the OT. :(

Navarro i believe they can get away with a smaller playset, but the cantina would have to be larger which would be a collect & build series (smaller sets) or Haslab.

Ageed. The Mos Eisley cantina won't fit into the $50 price-point including a figure without being severely compromised.

What a surprise that a Navarro Cantina play set is on tap for the Vintage Collection. Who’s excited about this one?

Been thinking all night about this one, here's a few things I can see, I don't believe it will be a whole Cantina, just a section, and I hope it's modular but I could see it not being either

1. Back wall, bar and part floor into a table, clean, place for bounties to be collected and some goons to mingle - season 1 grief pack in

2. Back wall damaged, counter and back corner piece with the metal grate they escape in, pack in figure ig 11

3. Back wall, bar, maybe a table and front door, mandos beskar entrance was fairly iconic, also incinerator trooper scene was memorable, pack in could be incinerator trooper (VC 176!? Lol)

I just don't see how this one can be large enough to include all sections at a retail price point, unless they're going Big for a holiday release or something? Don't get me wrong I want big, I'd pay good money for a large "Sitcom" styled dio with all the goodies and multiple figs packed in, just don't know what they're going to do

Good thoughts! You reminded me about the grate, which does sort of seem like it needs to be included. It was kind of a big part of the story. That definitely would affect the rest of the design!

As for the pack-in, would they release two Greefs so close together? I’m hoping Hasbro goes the “greater number of individual characters” route and gives us somebody we haven’t seen, like the Client. But that’s unlikely (I fear). Like many of you, I’m expecting some kind of repack, repaint, or army-builder type, which all point to Death Trooper. I’ll take it regardless! 😍.

As for the idea of doing a cantina, I’m kind of mind-blown in good, bad, confused, and excited ways. I’ve wanted a Mos Eisley cantina for 25 years. I’m a bit perturbed (I truly can’t help it!) that this comes first. But does this imply a better bigger set could come along as a HasLab later? No, it doesn’t imply that in any way, shape, or form. Still, something is happening...!

If this modulates at all, I’m buying like five. If not, I’m buying like five.

S1 Grief would be an odd choice, but assuming this set is coming next Feb realistically that's close to a year difference, and it's kind of odd that they did S2 grief when all others are season 1 looks, he feels out of place, although I guess he's now joined by the mythrol, I'd still like him though. If this set is a 1 piece set then we're going to get a character like the client, if it's modular in any way it'll be troops, hopefully it's not IG 11

Hmm. That Greef reasoning does make a bit of sense to me. Why Season 2 first? Good explanation!

Actually, if they were planning on giving us Season 1 with a set, then why give us Season 2 at all? It’s a weird situation for sure.

Sure, I'd have preferred an OT Cantina first, but I am excited about this one because it's something new and unexpected and it means Hasbro is committed to more world-building in the line.

I'd be ok with a pack-in Client or Season 1 Greef Karga figure. I'd prefer the blond female bounty hunter in the red armor, but I think they'll go with the Remnant stormtrooper as a pack-in.

I think this will be double sided to a degree: one side with the bar, table/chair where Greef/Cara/Mando met with The Client, the wall with the grate that IG opens and the wall with the door (this would be the interior) while the outside is basically just dressed up enough to pass as an exterior wall.

I'd prefer the pack-in to be The Client but more realistically I think it will the Death Trooper from the Carbonized subset but not Carbonized

I am down for this one. While out of place, I'd love the pack in figure to be the Werner Herzog character. But the season 1 look for Carl Weathers character would make the most sense. And I love the 3.75 version of this character. The 6" version didn't do it for me for some reason.

while s1 greef or client would be ideal, i predict/expect mando carded death trooper, who also is relevant to the cantina in s1 finale battle. The fig is repack and card art was made for carbobized wave so really min cost for hasbro vs new sculpt and new card/bubble design. Also, hasbro is liking R1 anniversary so a death trooper works for both mando and r1. Plus, follows pattern of last 2 playsets...army builder/generic trooper on new cardback

Bingo. That is pretty much my line of thinking here too. On the other hand this set isn't based on an iconic location so a more unique pack-in may prompt additional sales. Something similar is playing out with the Merrick X-Wing.

I guess time will tell. Either way I'm super excited for this one even if it has a Remnant Stormtrooper or Mando as the pack in.

the only thing about Rem troops is that s1 Mando, Cara and Rem trooper all were recently rereleased in solid cases. Some folks here have posted receiving Cara in last few weeks, Mando's been spotted a GS, and Rem's still on DS for solid case orders so he may not be included if a recent rerun was just done or in process- i think DS has 0ct ETA. How long has it been since rerun of R1 death trooper were released? I kinda wonder if a mando version was to been #188, but R1 recent rerun held him up and now this is the way mando Death troops see a release.

This is entirely possible. They're going to do what makes the most business sense.

The existence of this playset makes me think The Client isn't completely off the table. He'd likely have to be an exclusive of some kind. Such a great character; I hope we eventually get him and Dr. Pershing.

dr. pershing, the Client, and s1 greef may make a good sdcc/con style 3 pk..and i would complement the playset. I wonder if target would get another 3 pk excl. If so, target may be better for this 3pk theme. So far their CoE 3pk has not had singles rereleased in TVC like sdcc 3pks have had,

Just like Jabba’s Palace, my expectation is that it comes with 2 pack ins. The playset itself would most likely be a couple of walls and a table/booth so 2 figures will give us more value. Those pack ins you ask? S1 Greef and the Client (That’s my wish). If not, a remnant instead of Greef.
