My current collection

Travis Pastrana's Motocross/Stuntman avatar. Alright! :)👍
You a fan?! Man, we could talk about that for hours!! I just picked up a Nitro Circus Motocross helmet from his site for my collection. He's also from Annapolis, where I lived for 5 years. I'm a big fan of that freestyle stuff. When I lived in Washington State, I used to go to Washougal for the races. I met Ricky Carmichael at a bike shop and got him to sign a poster for me even! I heard they hold them in Daytona too.

I just picked up the PS4 Supercross 3 game this week. Hard as heck but awesome.

Beautiful cards, Travis! I'm a sucker for vintage style cardback images.
Also a fan of Travis Pastrana and Ricky Carmichael. It was through my skate/snowboarding i learnt of them as they were sponsored by DCshoecousa

Thanks Paul, the cards are quite addictive for sure!

We used to ride ATVs around in the woods of Pennsylvania all the time when I was in High School, like daily. Man we used to haul @s$ and tear things up! I also used ride a motorcycle back then too. I hung out with a bunch of skaters, so I started watching back in the X Games when Pastrana was still a kid and he did that jump into the Bay in SF, which made them all lose their Sh!+ LOL. After that, I bought the MX Superfly game for my PS and started to really like it.

I really got into it when I met Carmichael and James Stewart was up and coming and I could go to the races in Washougal. I loved baseball as a kid, and the last 7 years I really got back into it and got out of the Motocross loop. But now that they are ruining all the major pro sports in America with greed and making everything about politics I am starting to drift back to Moto. I have to start watching again to see who is up and coming now. I plan on going to the Daytona one next year, which I know Carmichael attends on a regular basis to do autograph signings.

Nothing earth shattering to share, but I went to the Barber for the first time since February yesterday! Who knew when I got my haircut back then it would be another state and 4 months later?! I shaved it all off myself in between in May as I couldn't take it anymore, but I was looking rough and it was nice to have a professional line it up again.

Haha! Good for you! I'm looking like a mop, so it is time for me to visit the scissors too. I've been cutting my own hair for almost 20 years so, I've just been lazy about it. As far as collecting, I'm trying really hard to control myself. The huge selection of PT, OT and McQuarrie mini busts that GG have been putting out lately is overwhelming and I want them all!! (in my dreams) :ROFLMAO:

So I had a bunch of stuff arrive on my day off. First, a copy of Nitro Circus: Action Figures 2 signed by Travis Pastrana! I also picked up the Nitro Circus BELL Moto helmet for my collection :). I got a couple more Moto helmets coming too.

Also wanted to share we went to Target yesterday, and while there I went to look for a PS4 game (which Target's game selection sucks BTW). Anyway, I saw some SW figures and though it was nice to see so many ESB figures, nothing struck me as a need to buy. They had ESB VC 3 3/4" Luke Bespin, Lando and Han Bespin. Also in the 6" BS they had a couple Probots, Wedge and Luke. None of these are characters I collect. If I did not get the metal Elite Series Probot, I would of been tempted by that one.

Still, it was awesome to see ESB represented!

Doing okay for the most part. We...the state...want to get back to normal but our D#$@HEAD Governor is not allowing it. Really need to get rid of this guy. No one likes him. Not even his own party!! Been busy doing house projects. Getting a lot done. Still looking for that Retro Fett lol!! How are you doing down there?

I know, EVERYONE loathed Murphy when I first moved there even. He has not exactly endeared himself to the people he represents. I also think he is a moron. My old co-workers are all essential so it has not effected them as much, but I am sure everyone is sick and tired of it already. Keep me posted bud.

As for down here in the devil's crack, it's HOT. Very hot, and everyone tells me it is only going to get hotter over the next two months. Just not used to this jungle climate. The job is good, been onsite for a month now and I am happy there. Lots of people from up North down here working, so we all talk. That has been good.

The state has been basically open here for a month, so it's so weird to here the absurd measures you guys are still under up there. What a shame...

So I finally got this after waiting weeks. These were sold by ROCKHARD in 2009, a couple years after he died. VERY limited and pretty much impossible to find now! As anyone who was a kid or was around in the '70s knows, this guy was the MAN and our hero basically until Star Wars came out! Evel Knievel tribute Motocross helmet. I believe the Moto helmets were limited to 500. The graphics and paint on this are just gorgeous, photos don't do it justice!

That Evel Knievel Helmet is AWESOME!!! All you need is the stunt cycle. Remember that? Those were cool.

Very nice collection of sports stuff as well! My son would have a field day!

Stay cool down there! When I went to Florida for vacation years ago I though I was getting away from Jersey..WRONG. Lol.

You made a good move. It sucks up here. If I didn't work in the city I would split as well.

Keep coo!!!

I'm not into any of the Motocross stuff, call me an undesirable anti-sports guy :), but I do like the aesthetics of these helmets and can appreciate the design and graphics on them. And Travis, if collecting them make you happy and do for you what GG won't, power to you my friend. Collecting is about what we like, not what others tell you to like, just like anything else in life. :)

That Knievel helmet is really cool. I worked with a guy last year that was one of his second cousins. The first day I met him I looked at his last name and just cocked my head. Before I could even get the words out of my mouth he was like. "Yes, I'm related. We're second cousins and I only met him once when I was 7 or 8."

Thanks for the compliments, Joe!

Yep, I had the stunt cycle, van and the rocket as a kid. When I lived out in California, we found one of the original stunt cycles at a swap meet (guys I worked with). We had that thing going down stairs, jumping pools, jumping fire LOL. It is a really amazing toy! They re-released it for the 4th time I think recently. I have been tempted to buy it again.

We miss Jersey, but there is lots wrong with it and that is ultimately why we moved. It's an awesome place with great people, just sucks it's so poorly ran.

That is a cool story. Being related to the legend, lucky guy.

Undesirable sports guy. There, I got it out of my system :).

GG to me are dead. I wish it weren't so, but I don't know how else to describe them since Diamond took over.

PS) I got two more Moto helmets coming. I will probably share those too LOL.

What?!! Oh, man! Now I'm really offended. I can say it, but you can't. It's sort of a double standard. Now you're making me go destroy something!:LOL:

Oh, where I could go with this conversation my friend. But, I know what place and time it is, so I will leave it at a laugh.

Bell Motocross Jeremy McGrath replica helmet by Troy Lee Designs, all the way from the UK! The premier designer in Moto helmets.

I do LOVE this helmet, it is not patriotic like the others but still bad@$$. The Nitro Circus helmet is a BMX helmet, not a Moto one. I love the helmet and fellow Italian Pastrana, but it may have to move elsewhere. I want a Eli Tomac (my favorite active rider) Eagle replica Troy Lee designs helmet bad.

I am in the beginning of 3 months of 10 hour days at work. My redneck neighbor parks in front of our driveway because clearly she wants me to go off on her. But I see this helmet, and it turns into a good day!

The color contrast makes it all come alive. I like it. My favorite is the Evil Knievel one. Now you need one like the one Nicholas Cage wore for Ghost Rider. Do you ride motorcycles? My husband used to have a Harley.

Thanks Natalie! Nice to see you posting again :).

I agree, the Evel Knievel one is the winner, not to mention tugs at my childhood. As I wrote in a previous post, I LOVED the Ghost Rider movie! I have been considering finding if they ever produced the Johnny Blaze one he wears when doing his stunts.

So, I used to ride. I was in High School when we did all the ATV and dirt bike riding. I graduated to a street bike, and had a fast Kawasaki. Needless to say, my contribution to this world is a massive yellow metal arrow sign at a deep turn in front of a cornfield in Pennsylvania. I took the turn too fast because it was not properly marked. I went into the cornfield instead, nearly decapitated myself by a guide wire and then flew in the air as I hit a gully. When I landed, I then carved out a path of 50 yards through the cornfield, stopping when a rock cracked my helmet. After waking up from my concussion, I walked through the field and lifted my motorcycle with one arm (pure adrenaline).

I started to walk away, then felt like I walked into a hole. Well, my knee gave out. Found out the next day I had torn two of the ligaments in my knee and stretched the other. I was going to be a Junior in HS (it was a late Summer night). Goodbye football scholarships. I didn't run for almost 2 years after, and the knee has never been the same.

The thing I will never forget is going through the field, with my hands pressed into the ground as hard as humanly possible, and the earth just kept moving underneath me. I literally could not stop.

I did love bikes, but just never got on a motorcycle again, doubt I ever will. An ATV, sure. But a street bike, there is just too much risk and I am not 17 years old anymore LOL. I think that is why I love the sport, because it is literally something I can not do.

Wow! That was some accident, Travis. Can't blame you for not wanting to ride a bike again. The helmets look great, by the way, and yeah the helmet from Ghost Rider ( one of my favorite Nicholas Cage movies) would look beautiful in your collection.

* Watch out for Natalie. It's been said she's dangerous. (JK) :)

Every day I have lived after that has been a blessing, regardless if I appreciated it as such or not. That has been 31 years of borrowed time and counting I have lived off now.
