wait a minute, all those clones and no Phase 1 pictures?

hopefully those new MH listings on the main page mean this clone is coming back and i can go back to work on my army.
only 64 whites, 11 sergeants and 3 lieutenants to go

i have 64 whites, 5 SGT and 1 LT.
all old style chunkies with non-removable helmets, i was not starting over with that new slim TVC mold.

so i am really hoping that they will just keep pumping out the old style just long enough for me to finish my company

I have 135 whites, close to 20 each of the Commander, Lieutenant, Sergeant and Captain, and some ARCs and other miscellaneous phase 1 clones. I'll get them photographed eventually, but just don't have the shelving for it at the moment.

I don't think I've ever seen SO many fires..., very impressive collection!!! Do you know how many figures you've got OR are there just too many to count??? Wouldn't mind seeing a larger scale picture of the shelves altogether, I'm sure it would look even more impressive!!! :)

That's quite the picture, urbnns. Great work.
Very cool, thanks for that..., definately an impressive site!!! :)
That's great, I like how the Jedi Generals are posed in front of the troops.

Thanks for your compliments guys! As all of my fellow collectors are aware, it takes a huge amount of time and commitment to collect the realistic line of 3 3/4" action figures. Even if you're only trying to get one of each for a carded collection. When I set out to build these armies, I knew it was going to be a long, tough road to accomplish my goals. I have stuck with it, and I'm proud to say that (thanks to Hasbro's new, crappy clone sculpt) I am nearly complete with my army building. Unless, of course, Hasbro finds a way to rekindle the army-building fire in me. But that doesn't seem very likely at this point.

I would like to army-build a few more Gamorrean Guards, and that Emperor's Royal Guard is looking pretty tempting too. But clone-wise, I think I'm very close to being done. Time will tell...

Impressive. Most impressive! Especially since they're all standing so nice without stands.

Awesome displays, I really like the presentation on the shelves!

BTW, if you get sick of army building clones and want to build something else,
I could hook you up with 15+ 4-LOMs that are still warming
the pegs at a couple local stores! :p

All of it is amazing, even more so without the stands. Have you ever accidentally bumped a shelf before? Haha!

The battle droids did come crashing down once, but I've never had problems with any of the other troops. The battle droids have very skinny legs and not a lot of weight to them, so if you even pass gas next to them they'll fall over. :)

never was one for army building (cost/space/availability etc) but does this look impressive!

Do you have any dust issues or figures yellowing at all?
Thanks guys!

Nerf Hearder: I have a Stormtrooper army pictured second to last just before my army of Hoth Snowtroopers. There are 3 separate posts in my string of photos, and the Stormtroopers are in the third post.

Darth_McBaine: I suppose there may be some slight yellowing on a couple of the armies. Possibly the Stormtroopers and my AOTC Clone Army (not pictured). For the most part, however, I have been pretty careful to keep them out of sunlight and away from the types of exposure that cause the figures to yellow. As for dust, they are displayed in a room where there is very little human traffic so if there is any (which I'm sure there must be) it is not really noticeable.

Severe Edit....

I had come on here with a post to judge you and how wasteful it is etc. My wife just condemned me for my DVD collection etc.
:p So I have edited my post.

So...GREAT collection! Love it! Looks great! I for one am happy with 5 per figure for an army build though. But that is just me. I could never play with all of those soldiers. But then you do not, you just display. Enjoy it. And if ever you decide to pass away have your significant other sell them as a lot on EBAY! Not one by one.

I only saw this today and my jaw dropped. Now if only you had a big flat space to display them all. And I thought I had an army with my 100 or so imperial troops...

And who do you plan on leading the GG army?

I can imagine a Jabba on hand somewhere! I still love looking at this thread!
Yes, Jabba will be the one! I think I have most of the super-articulated Jabba goons, so my display should be pretty nice when ready. But there are a number of the less-articulated ones that I've passed on over the years, so mine may not be as impressive as other Jabba displays I've seen on the boards.

So do you plan on army-building the upcoming TOR Republic trooper figure?
Probably not. The only things on my radar right now are Gamorreans and Emperor's Royal Guards as far as things that have been released or announced are concerned.

I would like to army-build a properly-scaled, movie-accurate Kashyyyk Trooper squad, but so far nothing has been mentioned about it. Hasbro continues to release crappy re-sculpts of troopers we already have a million and a half of.

I'm really glad I built my armies when I did. Who would've ever thought the market for Star Wars would become so stagnant.

First post in RebelScum. Most impressive. You've got a grand army. The only army I have is Stormtroopers. Love your collection.

Hello, i'm just curious as to how many clones you have on the display wall shown in the pictures?
There is roughly 2,600 loose figures shown on the display wall in that photograph.

Thanks! And welcome to the boards. This is truly the greatest place for Star Wars collectors to gather and converse. Hope you enjoy it!

Well done sir. This is indeed an amazing army, and such an awesome sight to see these army's/squadrans of each. Will you be adding TVC Royal Guards to this?
Thanks for sharing your great collection.

So how's it coming on the BFII Engineers? Did you ever get 'em all, or did you give up?
I have pretty much given up on those. Seems like nobody wants to trade them, and even if they do it's hard to tell if they're the legitimate releases or the bootleg/reject ones that are sold by those non-U.S. sellers on eBay.

Now THAT'S armybuilding. XD
:)

I plan on buying as many of those TVC Royal Guards as I can get my hands on, but with the terribly limited availability of TVC at retail I'm not counting on finding any significant amounts of them.
