OK VideoViper - that is hysterical and awesome.

I was a little bummed that the Diamond Select Muppets were smaller than Palisades, but you gave me a whole new perspective. Outstanding!

These are brilliant, they have so much character and fun. I couldn't wait for Series 1 and 2 to arrive in the UK so had them imported. Don't regret it. Just need to wait for series 3! Really hope the line is a success

DST stated that if it is a success they would consider Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock, both to which they have the rights!

That would be amazing! The opportunity of getting the Fraggle Rock characters were one of my biggest regrets about Palisades going under. Fingers crossed for DST (And for Uncle Deadly to make an appearance!)

Have they made a Swedish chef?
The first wave was Kermit, Robin and Bean Bunny. Fozzie and Scooter and Gonzo and Camilla. The second wave was
Statler and Waldorf, Bunsen and Beaker, and Animal. The third wave will be Floyd and Janice, and Rowlf, Mahna Mahna and Crazy Harry and Miss Piggy, with Foo Foo and a Penguin

just opened up Statler and Waldorf (my 2 favorite muppets) and this set is AWESOME. I love it. I have it on my office desk at work and people are always complimenting me on the set.

Something I wanted to say about these.

The figures come in 2 types of packaging. Apparently the Toy R Us exclusives do not have some accessories, although the ebay prices are about the same. So when ordering online verify that you are getting the package that you want. Don't want anyone getting a great deal on W&S only to find no balcony.

So I was watching the Muppet Show Star Wars episode yesterday, (introducing the kid to muppets)

Some fun things I noticed,

1. spot the camera man in C3PO's & R2 reflection
2. C3PO had enough range in the costume to actually dance, (This is never seen is any other footage I've seen.)
3. How come we never got a naked Chewie figure?
4. Also the finial number fortells the Disney/Star Wars merger.
5. The landed on a planet based on a comedy variety show & still did a better job than the Holiday special.

Just got the next series, packed with a lot of extras.
Originally I thought Ralph came as a stand along, but I opened the package & there is his piano!!!!! Yay!

These are great sets. Just received mine. Wish the scale matched the Palisades figures, but oh well.

I like this scale better, (I only collect 1:18thish) so the props work better with Joes/SW. I have some Palisades stuff but will be phasing it out due to breakage & size

Thanks for the heads up on that! I hadn't grabbed any of the band yet either. I hope they come with all the accessories included with the Select versions of these figures.

You're welcome! Yeah it looks like they will come with the speakers and most of the instruments at least. Its hard to tell because the packaged pics are dark. And the loose pic is just an old stock photo and doesnt show any accessories, plus Animal's drum kit shown is different than in the boxed set. I literally almost caved and bought an overpriced Floyd and Janice set on eBay. Glad I waited.

I see what you're talking about with the drums. I was so happy to order this, I didn't pay attention to something that obvious. I wonder if there might be some kind of riser packed into the box?

I have the Series 2 Animal and his drums do have the mouth on them, so I guess they went with a different design for this reissue (maybe its the Muppet Movie version?). I hope they give the cymbals wider bases though, as the Series 2 ones fall over easily. A riser would be nice, but if they dont include one, I also own the Palisades Electric Mayhem stage playset from way back in the day. The band Muppets were pretty much the only ones I ever bought over the years - I'm a musician so they were always my favorites. With the cancellation of Series 4 and then this limited edition coming out, I think Diamond Select is truly done with these, which is sad. Especially if you want to add Lips to your band. The Palisades one is crazy expensive on eBay now.

This may be overkill on research but after watching some YouTube videos, it looks like Animal used both versions of the drum kit on the Muppet Show, especially during Season 2. But he also used several other versions as well.

I have mixed feelings about paying $120 for two figures I don’t have. Really hope the stage is a great display piece.

Anyone who missed out, they just opened pre orders for most of the Muppets.
Don’t think W&S come with their balcony Might want to double check if these are similar to the TRU packaging without the extras.

That's very cool looking!
If I had know about this a long time ago I would have gotten a set too.

I didn't realize they were doing Muppets in this scale, when i ran across them on one site I thought they were listed as a much larger scale.

The Electric Mayhem box set is finally shipping! My preorder has been charged at BBTS. Also they have it in stock right now if you didnt pre-order. Now if they would just do Lips, I would be fully satisfied, but getting the main band is nice too.
