“A quick rumor report for today as we’ve gotten word of a potential Morgan Elsbeth figure coming to the Vintage Collectiontoward the end of the year. This character made her debut in The Mandalorian but looks to have an expanded role in the Ahsoka series on Disney+. If Hasbro follows their formula for product releases, having her pop up in the Black Series and Retro Collection will not be too surprising as well”

Will you be purchasing her When she gets made?

It seems like Morgan Elsbeth is gonna play a more prominent role in the Mandoverse. She seems like she has some relation to the Nightsisters, and Filoni does like to do callbacks to the Clone Wars.

I’m up for a figure, but I’m unsure of how much demand there is for her compared to some of the other big hitters coming out Ahsoka.

need more information on the Elsbeth character before i even consider buying the action figure. an Imperial officer in exile or a Force witch or some random cult member?

If there's a connection to the Nightsisters, my interest is much higher!

Literally had to look up who this character is. I'm not even that interested in the Ahsoka show, but based just on the trailers, she doesn't crack the list of 10 most wanted figures from that series.

I happy to get more female figures because they make for great background fodder, but this is an odd choice for the show. I'd think Hera or the dark Jedi female (Shin?) would have been much better choices for retail.

This screams "pegwarmer" to me.

No interest. More than a dozen figures would easily slot in ahead of her on any list I'd make adjacent to the Ahsoka show.

I speculated about this in the main thread as well, but only out of a desire to have an interesting backstory - was something hinted at that leads you to believe a Nightsister connection exists? Her tattoo is the only thing that really stands out thus far, as it's common among Nightsisters from both the CW and EU, but she certainly doesn't look like a CW era Dathomirian. If she were a Force sensitive witch, based more in the EU, that would certainly make a figure more appealing to me. As it stands from her single appearance, her figure will likely be a Greef Karga type release, enjoyed by some, but probably a pegwarmer.

It’s the tattoo. As for why she looks different, I have some guesses. She could be from a different tribe than the ones we saw in The Clone Wars. Another guess is she could’ve been a foundling like Din.

She does look a lot more 'deathly' here than before. Makes her look a little closer to Nightsister Merrin from the Jedi video games.

Just because she's rumored doesn't mean figures of other, more prominent characters aren't coming as well.

I think we all knew what you meant, all cool looking figures make great background fodder! Aesthetically both Cassian and Vell are boring as F as is, but I absolutely love her legs for other things and Andor's has also come in handy for a few projects. I really like his pelvis though due to its universal usage, other figures seem to have some weird attachment to its ball.

Elsbeth would be nice to have simply because they don't seem to cover the secondary Women, only the mains. I mean I don't know how many things Mon Mothma has to appear in before she gets a modern figure made! R1, Andor, Ahsoka.

Assuming that isn't a rhetorical question...

Mon Mothma's a non-action character who has been made into a figure twice in the last twenty-five years, and pegwarmed both of those times. Much as I want an Andor-sourced version of her, I understand why Hasbro would sooner assign that position to a new character who we've seen throw down already in The Mandalorian.

Yeah, I'd like a Luthen figure for sure! The Client isn't very high on my list but I would probably buy him at some point if made simply for background fodder. that said without his office or the booth to display him in the need for that figure isn't as high as so many others.

I thought Morgan was a completely unremarkable character.
That's the key thing here, to me Morgan felt like a steppingstone to a larger goal. Essentially a throwaway character for Ahsoka to take down revealing a larger story to unfold, and they didn't put much into her brief appearance to suggest a future or an interesting character TBH.

Meanwhile Mon Mothma kills it in Andor, and was also a neat addition to Rogue One. She's only seen in hologram form in the Ahsoka trailer so I don't know the extent she'll appear in that show or of her performance. But if it's anything like her Andor scenes it will only make the Ahsoka show even better.

And yes, maybe Morgan's appearance in Ahsoka allows more character depth and we learn more about her background which could be interesting if it is Nightsister related. Who knows. But so far she's not a figure I absolutely want over say 10-15 others that have been passed over, but I would buy it simply because of the outfit she wears and would add depth to the line in a sea of armored troopers everywhere.

Crappy bland character, in a drab duel by someone who cannot write and direct to save his life. Kinda wonder who gives the go aheads for these nonsense characters to be made into figures before fan favorites and more in demand/popular characters, lol.

Anyway, I think her hairdresser or make-up person or someone like that had leaked a Nightsister connection a few years back during her debut on social media.

The actress, Diana Lee Inosanto, has a martial arts background, and her father is a prominent teacher and student of Bruce Lee’s.

If they lean more into those fighting skills for her character in Ahsoka, I would definitely consider getting a figure of the character.

I'm glad you clarified because the sarcasm in me thought you were totally going somewhere else with what her "baton" really was. lol

well too late for you to say that, since in the Clone Wars show, young Ackbar's baton is actually a blaster. So that makes Ackbar had a weapon with him technically in Return of the Jedi.

also makes you wonder if Madine's presentation pointer stick had a hidden vibro blade the whole time

Like FF6Mog said, stop giving Hasbro ideas. If the baton is really a blaster, that'll definitely bump her into the deluxe category,,,,,, :ROFLMAO:

Or at the very least, Madine's stick had a popout back scratcher!

Hasbro just can’t win. Leagues of collectors complain that we only get main characters and clone troopers these days. Then we find out Hasbro might actually give us a secondary character (who had a duel with Ahsoka!) and other collectors complain that we aren’t getting so-and-so.

If you ask me, the fact that we might get Morgan means we might be getting a wide selection of characters from Ahsoka. If there was a show to go all-out for, it would be this.

I’m also hoping for Hera, Sabine, Chopper, Ezra, Shin, and Baylan. The fact that we might get Morgan makes those other characters MORE likely in my mind, not less!

Don't get me wrong, I'm always happy to get interesting secondary characters and all. I guess the timing seems odd because the show is on and then a month or so later the first Ahsoka figures show up and you get the repacked Ahsoka, the HK droid, and Morgan, but what about Hera and Co?

It just makes me think Hasbro was told Morgan would be back and so they started working on her and just decided because the timing worked, they could put her on an Ahsoka card instead (like how the put Fennec on a BOBF card).

However, it's possible they might use the base body for other females such as Mon Mothma.

I'm not suggesting they don't make her, she's just not on my top 10 or 20 list of all characters I want made. As for Ahsoka, she's probably still very low but higher than that abysmal looking HK droid. And truthfully just because people complain about only getting main characters doesn't mean they'll gobble up just any secondary character released, their character has to appeal to them enough to want to buy said figure and has to be more appealing that the secondary characters they perhaps wanted instead and have wanted for decades before this character.

It does seem to suggest that considering we still don't have Cobb Vanth, then again maybe her character is far more integral to the story. Which she seemingly is as Thrawn's second in Command. My only worry is making a figure so early on might cause issues with another character that some of us might like more and want a figure of but will be skipped due to the budget. The main cast are definite must haves, as well as Thrawn and the two Dark Jedi. With Morgan and HK that makes ten figures front and center and what we typically get in a year for "all new" sculpts. So where does that leave other potential character's that we haven't seen yet? Such as if Rex does appear, you'd think a new sculpt would be needed for that if they intend to recreate his rebels look.

So it's going to be interesting to see how that line up is released, some of them must be coming later in early 24 as I cannot see it working out for that many new sculpt to come out in 23 due to already getting a years worth of new figures.

So true, because 10-12 slots do not have any hope of covering the wants of everyone. Especially when those slots for new tooling go to new media characters every single time. And it only gets worse as time goes on with more new shows, and it's really starting to sink in that they have totally moved on from the OT. Unless it's a repack. So the chances of getting new OT mains, or even PT mains, before the line ends feels far less likely than I thought just a couple years ago. Say nothing about all of the other secondary or background characters.

Though in their defense they did make a pretty decent Jabba Goons 4-pk!
