Momaw Nadon “Hammerhead” - VC#***

I believe they're not even legally allowed to make FX-7 with that level of articulation because of new regulations. It'll be a shame because just a repack of the 25 year old POTJ one would do. Think of the long term investment payoff on that one.
Hasbro should do just that by giving the droid a new paint job and slapping it on a vintage card and call it a day. They likely don’t have the original mold anymore though since they only reissue figures from TVC 1.0 onwards.

I mean….

This is why I have mine now. They could if they really wanted to I suppose.

What Chris was getting at with FX-7 is they cannot re-release the figure because it either fails current manufacturing or safety regulations that didn't exist 12 years ago. I forget exactly what he said but it was along those lines.

I was unaware of that, thank you for clarifying.

On topic, I cannot wait for hammerhead, he’s definitely a glaring hole in current setup.

^ Ditto. And I expect Retro to get one as well, and I'll be snapping that up, too.

Not to go off on a tangent but just for carded sake, would the likes of FX7 need any articulation? Sure for diorama purposes but not carded purposes. That type of release could be ideal for a con excl. perhaps.

Anywoo, Hammerhead on tvc card is nice and hopefully a decent upgrade and the new delux cardbacks may work for HH.

I also wonder if they couldn’t just release the card and the bubble and let people supply their own figure. That would be an easy alternative to complete that figure without the liability or lower quality.

Here's the Q&A with Hasbro from MAKMCSWF filling in for Chris from BS on the Q&A

I don't entirely believe it's a "legal" thing, or we wouldn't have gotten IG-11. Did everyone forget that that figure isn't twelve years old?
I think what it boils down to is manufacturing costs have risen so much that it simply costs too much to have that thinly walled accessories or spindly limbs due to the "waste" involved, their margins no longer can accept the amount of rejects they once did.

And instead of saying "oh we could make FX-7 but you wouldn't like the costs", meaning it'd likely have a $35-40 price tag. It would definitely be a DLX today, and possibly only have four moveable arms while the rest are "sculpted" in place.

I was expecting a reveal this weekend for this, but I guess we’re still waiting. It’ll be great when it finally shows up.
Unless Pong Krell makes it into the line next year, I have a feeling that Momaw will be my favorite figure of the year.
