Hi everyone. Been a long time since I posted here. I recently picked up an MLC-3 mini-rig with the $1 Rebate Offer sticker on the box. I've been looking for pricing just to get a relative idea of what the Rebate Offer mini-rigs go for in comparison to the standard issue rigs, but I can't find any past sales (except a couple of AFA graded ones). Can anyone give me an idea of relative value on these Rebate Offer rigs? Not looking for an exact number of anything, just wonder if they go for around the same as the standard issue, or generally x% more, or whatever.

Also, just to confirm, these all had an actual insert for the offer itself, right? Mine doesn't have one but I seem to remember that they came with one.

Thanks!

I’m guessing since you purchased one you have an excellent first hand resource available to you....

I completely misunderstood. At first I was going to say: I'd just google an old toy catalog to see what the other mini rigs were priced at, minus $1 for the rebate. Then plug it into the online CPI calculator for now vs. the year it was released.

My real answer is, based on my admittedly limited experience, I don't think it affects price up or down much. Half the people seem to think it's rarer and better, the other half think it damages the artwork on the box cover, and they balance out.

PS I LOVE The Children's Palace price tag. Even though I've sworn off vintage 3.75", the right vintage price tag on the right item could make me fall off the wagon.
