congrats! although that's kind of a bummer they went over $300. I just looked up on eBay and saw a Dark Apprentice and Dark Force Rising that ended recently at about half that (each). but if it's worth it, it's worth it.
I saw the surprisingly low Dark Apprentice from last week and Dark Force Rising from December. However, you never know how much to add if I'd have participated in that bidding. Still, a missed chance for sure. I checked it before I bid, but I did not see them that low for quite some time. Also, I did not see them for months before the last items sold. So I felt like "now or never". No regrets, just a feeling like a hangover today.congrats! although that's kind of a bummer they went over $300. another question for Dark Jedi: how many of the unlicensed MMs do you have? I don't know if any other sites offer a comprehensive guide to all of the non-Star Wars micros that Galoob released. I just didn't know how far you were planning to go with the site.
Awesome display! What are the stands made from?Micro Machines can still throw a punch! On my previously mentioned Insta, I have a lot of stuff besides MMs. The collect 50-150 "Likes" there. No I posted on my MM setup, and this entry went THROUGH THE ROOF:

People are even DMing me and inquire about the setup or the line itself. Awesome!
But to be honest: I do not understand the mechanisms of instagram. I don't know where all these people are from, as I have much less followers than likes on this picture...
Hi ThunterCracker, I did a presentation including a making of here in the Limelight Forum:Awesome display! What are the stands made from?
While I linked to my setup again in March, I was in the progress of adding LED lighting to this cabinet. I mainly built it for my Hot Toys cabinets, and I have chosen a DIY-approach again, as the ready-to-use versions all demanded too many compromises (visible LEDs from the front, LED colour, ...). It is still work in progress (hide cables, improve backgrounds, ...), but I like it already. Detolf #2 is currently in the works, including Micro Figures...Hi ThunterCracker, I did a presentation including a making of here in the Limelight Forum:

I think your questions will be answered there.
If you are a full completist and interested in variants, there are 2 ships exclusive to the "Bonus Edition" of the First Order Star Destroyer transformable playset:Hey guys, I'm working on completing my modern Hasbro Micro Machines collection and I'm really close! I have everything except for the transforming Star Destroyer playset and some of BB Series 6.
I know there was a Walmart version of the Transforming Star Destroyer that had bonus figures/ships - now that I have everything else, is there anything exclusive to those bonus ships or do I have them already from another set? Trying to determine if I need the Walmart version or if the regular retail version will do at this point.
If it helps, here's everything I have so far on my Snupps: http://snupp.it/XanSYD
I was so underwhelmed by that Tie Fighter and was glad the other ones were made better.I've just been finishing off with these too
Just to let you know, one of the Tie fighters in the walmart set Is a variant too, made from rubbery material (by comparison to the regular ties) with scorch marks on the wings
As we are just talking about finishing collections: While I have all playsets + all figure/vehicle packs loose and MOC, I still look for some of the specials. Just today, I added the loose holographic Royal Starship to the MOC-version I already had:

Still, some minor things to be done, e.g. the mini-Micro cinema giveaway.
After that, I need to focus on the Mini Heads.

Ah, this is you!? Found your Insta before but did not follow due to lack of content.

I said that originallyI just want one of each![]()
There are many variant across the line, usually it's the paint job, size or markings that differ slightly between the versions from the vehicles packs/gift sets and the ones from the playsets.I said that originallybut then I have been finding variants and I can't help myself.
Does anybody have a list of variants?
I just discovered a Galoob sandcrawler with a completely different paint job to the one I had already (Then obviously Hasbro variant too)
Then found a droid tank that is slightly bigger than the one I had already.
Awesome, thank you very much for the informationThere are many variant across the line, usually it's the paint job, size or markings that differ slightly between the versions from the vehicles packs/gift sets and the ones from the playsets.
Regarding the Original Line (before Episode 1), the main variants are:
- X-Wing Fighter: different paint jobs between the standard version from the vehicles and gifts packs, and the one from the Playsets (the one from the Rebel Transport playset was especially dark for instance).
- Darth Vader's TIE Fighter: the one from the Stormtrooper playset is slightly different
- Tantive IV: the one from the Star Destroyer playset is smaller
- Star Destroyer: different paint jobs on the reactors (whith for the Epic Collection, blue on the standard version from the vehicles packs)
- Jabba's Sail Barge: slights difference in size and paintjob between the standard versions and the one from the Ré-D2 transformable environment.
For the Episode I line, the differences are again between the vehicles packs and the playsets:
- AAT (Trade Federation Tank): 3 versions (standard, from Jar-Jar playset, and from the MTT playset). The Jar-Jar playset version is larger than the standard one. The MTT playset version has an "explosion" feature
- other known variants are the Gian Speeder, Coruscant Taxi, Bongo, Naboo Fighter (the one from the Battle Droid playset has a different, triangular hole, due to the built-in stand in the playset)
- the most interesting variant is probably the Sith Infiltrator, with a completely different paintjob for the one coming in the Darth Maul playset.
The new line that was sold starting with The Force Awakens also includes many variants with "snow", "sand" or "battle damages" effects.
I use these http://gtbag.com/uczipplain.htmlHey everyone, how do you store your MM ships and figures when they're not on display?
I used to keep mine all jumbled up in a big tin, but recently started organizing them in some plastic tacklebox-type containers. It occurred to me it might be dangerous to store MMs in these over the long term; could the cheap plastic of the boxes outgas and damage the plastic in the toys? (I've heard this is why you shouldn't store figures in ziploc bags)
I had them in a tuppaware in baggies, but they were getting a bit squashed and so moved them into bigger baggies...Hey everyone, how do you store your MM ships and figures when they're not on display?

Just be wary, as it's the acid from certain plastic containers/bags that can ruin toys.I appreciate the tips, guys! I've looked into bags like that for my 3.75" figures. I think for now I might just drill tiny holes in the tackleboxes I have so that any harmful fumes can outgas, and not harm the plastic in the figures/ships.
Moff Jerjerrod only appears with the TIE Defender. At this scale, it depends if you'll consider any Imperial Officer to be enough, or if that will make you crazy knowing it's not the good figure. If it's for resale, it should be obvious to warn potential buyers that the ship is not "complete".Interesting conversations here about Action Fleet. Used to be a collector of the ships and packs. Never really got into the pay sets though.
Going through some of my ships I noticed that for some reason Moff Jerjerrod is missing from my Action Fleet TIE Defender. I used to display some of these including that one. He must have gotten lost somewhere, dropped, vacuumed up ...who knows, they are so tiny, when I repacked the Defender. I always saved the box and twisty ties to repack them if possible along with the figures.
Question does he.. Moff Jerjerrod appear in any other packs, ships or playlets so I can get a replacement, or will any Action Fleet Imperial Officer do?
Thanks in advance.
