"Thump"

That's the sound of me fainting.

And where there's MM's, might there be Action Fleet ?

"Star Wars 7 The Black Series Diecast Vehicle Single
Star Wars 7 The Black Series Diecast Vehicle Multi Pack"

what, what, what ??!!! :D

Rev, you bring up a really good point. I hope no one is expecting the $4-5 price point that the old MM's ran. For the three ships I'm expecting something along the lines of $9.99 each. Many the single blind pack will be around $5. This is all speculation of course.

Yeah, those guesses sound about right to me, perhaps even a little more for the three-packs, depending on size and degree of finish. Still, compared to paying that for a single Fantasy Flight Games miniature, it may not feel too bad! I really hope Hasbro clarifies their plans surrounding these at New York Toy Fair this February. I appreciate we won't see anything, but just to get confirmation of the size and material they have in mind would be great.

I agree Rev. Remember how the Episode I Micro Machines went up a dollar AND only had 2 vehicles per pack? So yeah, I won't be surprised with an 8-10 dollar price point. But like you said, better than the FFG mini prices.

I think my fear surrounding this line centers around what exactly Hasbro considers a Micro Machine to be. Are they talking about the classic two inch long mini ships that we used to buy in the old days, or do they consider anything Titanium sized or smaller as a Micro Machine? I was having this conversation with a friend who brought up the notion that they could reuse the (admittedly excellent) Command molds, which are closer to Titanium scaling than what I would consider a true MM in the spirit of the originals. I'm hoping for the classic Galoob mini ships, myself, both for reasons of pricing and display consistency.

Sadly Rev, Hasbro have quashed any hope of displays at NY Toy Fair already, but we still might get news

Yeah, I had no expectation of actually seeing anything. All I am hoping for is some clarification of size, price, material, etc - what they imagine this sku to look like, without going into any design specifics. :) Here's hoping that isn't an unrealistic expectation, but I suppose much depends on what and how the various fan sites ask them.

Does Hasbro still answer fan questions monthly? I've been out of that loop for a long time but I thought they'd packed the Q&As in.
Otherwise, thanks! The news is quite exciting and intriguing, though any mention of blind bags gives me the willies.

Maybe the competition from Hot Wheels is what finally convinced them to dust off MM. I always figured they would make them again, someday.:whistling:

The Hasbro Q&A with fan sites has been gone for a number of years, but they still do Q&As at toy shows and cons.

The return of the MM line has huge potential if they use the same plastic and paint on them as they did with the originals. If they use the cheap plastic and cheap paint as they did with the ROTS micro line, they may turn out rather lackluster.

Cool news!! I really hope for Action Fleet to return too. Or at least some MM like playsets that can go with AF mini-figures (emember Double Takes Death Star, Falcon playset etc). But I always liked the versatility of the AF ships and mini-figs compared to MM figs and simple MM ships. But the MM playsets work pretty well with AF and viceversa. Let's see some more things than just rumors (list) first though :)

I've been buying Hasbro's blind-bagged Transformers Kreons and the My little Ponies for my kids. Right up until the latest TF wave there have always been cheat codes on the bags that you can use to defeat the random factor. So far Hasbro hasn't been so mean as to build insanely uneven rarity into their range or anything cruel like that, either, so it has been very easy to get exactly what I or my daughters want. I hope the same will follow for these. My one niggle of doubt is that latest Transformers Kreons wave, which lacked codes on the foil bags (a real pain because there was only one figure in the entire wave I wanted). I sure hope that isn't a sign of things to expect from the MM range.

Hope I can get some bulk cargo (or leaked from factory) in that time:rolleyes:

Oh please Hasbro, don't play with my hope any further, 15 years has been more than I could handle. Just give us a Micro Machines worthy of the Jim Fong Galoob-era with mini figures, inside-action playsets, etc. And do cover the whole Saga, by putting special focus not only on the new film, but also AOTC, ROTS, TCW and Rebels.

I predict the return of Action Fleet and the first releases will be the Falcon, X-Wing, and Darth Vader's Tie Fighter.

So happy that Micro Machines are coming back! I hope we are not disappointed with what Hasbro has planned with this relaunch of what many of us have been anticipating for many years now. Could the action fleet now be called Deluxe Vehicle Assortment?

True. The same OT vehicles have been rereleased far too many times without offering any variety. Disney is doing the same with their Die-Cast line. No PT, no TCW, no Rebels- basically nothing new.

I know some of you guys like the micro figures, but I hope they don't return for the ST. I prefer the OT era micros with 3 ships, instead of the TPM versions with 2 ships and 2 figures. If they do figures, i hope they are at least in separate sets - it's the same issue i have with the Command line. Separating ships and figures will definitely make me more interested.

I didn't mind the Ep1 sets as much since the quality was still there. I did not like the Micro Vehicle line that Hasbro tried. Some of the vehicles were good (BARC and ARC-170), but most were not...and the figures were nowhere near what Galoob did.

Yeah, I agree Sid. The fact that there are three-packs listed gives me hope as that could be a return to the classic MM era of three mini ships in a blister together. That classic MM size of ship would work well in blind bags too, which they seem to be doing, so I think there is some reason for hope. :D My fingers and toes are crossed.

I agree they should return to the original formula (vehicle three-packs and figurine collection sets being separate), which going by the rumoured product list is what they are going for, but why would you not want there to be new figurines to go with those new Star Wars Micro Machines?! I would find that just as boring as the figure-less Action Fleet line. It is so important for playability to have characters to go with your ships. A complaint I heard about the line in the past was that the vehicles and the figures weren't in scale with each other. Who cares? It is a toy line meant to be played with and as a 90's kid it certainly didn't hinder my fun playing with them. It was also far easier to carry a whole fleet with you as compared to the AF line.

The micro figures work well with the AF vehicles, because you can put them in the cockpit - with micro machines, they simply don't interact as well. Plus, as a collector, I'm all about the ships in this scale, because I don't collect large action figure scale ships. Having 3 ships per set, will allow for more fleet building.

Yeah, this. I think the mini figures have their place, but I would think they should accompany larger vehicle sets that incorporate some sense of interactivity, like being able to sit in the cockpit or at least seem in scale, Action Fleet style, or come in army-building sets. The mini ship sets should, in my opinion, be something different. I always felt a bit ripped off when Ep 1 came along and I had to buy what felt like filler mini figures that I didn't want in a pack of one or two new vehicles for the same price or more than i used to pay for three vehicles. I suppose that sort of thing is to be expected though.

I totally agree on those "Micro" size sets that Hasbro made for Ep. III, they were hideous. To me they looked like the Star Wars toys that you would get on a birthday cake. I remember walking in a TRU to check out the new micro sets and was so disappointed. It looks like we will be getting minifigure sets so hopefully the vehicle packs will consist of three ships.:D I hope that the new minifigures match the size of around 1" in height to what Galoob did before.

Very excited to hear about the return of MM's! I'm totally with Sidious and Rev on the mini-figure issue too - I'm indifferent towards them being in the line, so long as they'd be in a different pack. I've never had any interest in them but do have a lot of them, especially military figures where you'd get two figures with a pack of three vehicles. Only use I ever had for them actually was on my aircraft carrier and amphibious assault ship.

Funnily enough with the Hasbro RotS mico machines, we never got them here in Aus. :-( We received the first wave that had OT micro's, but the RotS micro wave never arrived which sucked, as they were the only ones I wanted. Of course our Star Trek Micro Machines line ended with the Generations set, leaving me (as a kid) playing with a runabout, pretending it was my favourite ship ever - the Defiant. Oh and using a 'Generations' Ent-D and rotating the saucer so it could simulate the Enterprise-E...

Same here in NZ. I only learned about their existence here on the forum and subsequently acquired a few select minis to supplement my old MM collection last year.

I remember those Trek sets fondly, and they even had the large multipacks with maybe 20 ships, which was an instant fleet. I want to see a return to those days, it was fun as a kid, and I'd enjoy it now as an adult.

London Toy Fair starts tomorrow!! We may get some descriptions since no pics are allowed. I'm having a hard time waiting till September. Need to know what we'll be getting.
