Thanks

Some of the figures were added 2 or 3 times in my collection during the process, but then traded against other Meccano or Trilogo stuff... so I had to search for replacement...

In overall, assembling this run took more than a decade!! what a relief to have this done

That's a very cool run. What's the story behind the use of an alternate red Meccano logo on just the Luc Pilote and R5 D4?

Oh wow Stephane, that really is an incredible achievement to put together the first 20 on the square Meccano cards. Not to mention the amazing condition and beautifully taken photo!

The RED logo was a transition logo for Meccano in 1980. The slogan (each toy a discovery) beneath the logo had been dropped, and the RED was probably chosen because it was also the color of the MIRO games company... which merged with MECCANO under a unique branding.

It was only used during a part of 1980 since the MIRO-MECCANO came late 1980 and widely used from 1981 with the "Miro-Meccano" text mention.

You can read the more details about the story of the entire range of Star Wars vintage French merchandise, and see nearly each single product / advert / catalog released in 'La French Touch 2016 - the Definitive Guide to French vintage SW collectibles' (follow link HERE)
