Apparently the 3D model was shown at Toy Fair which is good news, he should be released in 6" scale later in the year.

Looks like it'll probably be the same exclusive Luke as the Rey 2pack with a new base.

I haven't been a big fan of any of the display bases. They usually just sit in the bottom of a box.
Now if the Luke is different for some reason that could tempt me!

So this is literally just the standard figure with a rock? At least the Jyn figure with the base was a different figure than the standard release and the kylo figure with the base had an exclusive hand and snow stained robe. I can't see people having any interest in this exclusive unless they really like plastic rocks...

The Eadu Jyn figure could have slotted into the Target exclusive with the Eadu and Yavin Cassians switched to make the Target exclusive a bit more sensible. Regardless, IMHO, I didn't care for a Eadu Jyn figure standing over a bunch of wet rocks,.....she would have sold well w/o it and Kmart would have saved themselves some pain. Just my $.02 :)

Anyways, if Hasbro went as far as making a 6" binary sunset Luke or a snowspeeder Luke with the corresponding bases, I'd personally be more receptive to that.

I kind of like it. Target must be carrying the torch from K-Mart and offering exclusives with a base.

If this is the same standard figure as the Force Friday II release, I'll probably get this one.

definitely want this one. now if Hasbro will just give us the SA 3.75" version I'd be a happy camper. I can't wait till Force Friday to hopefully score the 5POA version of him

I like it. Maybe this will be a bit easier to find after everyone buys the regular version on Force Friday and inevitability wants Hasbro dead when they can't find one :). Plus, you get a base. Granted for $10 more but still.

Think of it this way, the base could be used for a group shot with Luke or they can take individual turns doing figure 'selfies'. :)

I'm assuming that's the gloved hand, a sort of like 'sorry for being released two years late, but here's is my current movie version that's deemed too close now to warrant separate releases so we're doing this as a kind gesture'. :)

I've been wondering if we'll actually get a dark outfit Luke from TLJ. I would think the swapable hand would be better suited for that one. Would 3 releases (2 being The 2 pack and this environmental set) be considered too much of one character in this line? I'm definitely in for a Jedi Luke in dark robes (if they make him) and probably this set as well.

Honestly, I wouldn't think so given the exclusivity. If you have your reasons to not want to shop Target, it won't be much of an overkill from a certain POV. The wasted plastic, time and money naysayers can discuss that ad nauseum.

My local K-mart is closing and has, literally, 140+ of the Rey/Kylo/Jyn packs out on the shelf for something like $17 at the moment (may have dropped lower since last check). Can't believe how many they were sitting on all this time. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the sole reason they are going under, lolz.

I will get this! If I can find it! And thankfully that will be easier at Target because there are more of them -- and there will be more coupon opportunities to help out.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a companion to this with Rey coming down the line.

That Jyn is really a cool set, I dunno some of y'all are poo-pooing it. Are you upset you couldn't get one cheap? Because I can hook you up with one now if ya need!

Probably because they refuse to send them to Europe / anywhere that isn't the US.

Looks like transfers from closing stores, but not bothering to go through donations to give them to discount chains.

i think Kmart took it hard whit those Exclusives. And TBH I'm not sure why they bothered, they've not had a good history with Exclusives. Rey and Kylo are the worst by far, my local store has dozens of each. They marked them down to $23 clearance, but it's not as low as they were during that sale during the Holidays. Which was anywhere from $13-16 with points redemption.

I've literally found a 15+ year old TPM Qui-Gon under the shelves while exploring my local K-Mart. Those stores are a wasteland.

I hope it's out on Force Friday! This and Rey were the only figures I was planning to look for. I don't have a super involved display, so I really like the idea of displaying Luke as a Jedi master on his own environmental piece.

For some reason, I have the feeling Resistance Rey may be the other half of the base. I think that's why they were upfront about saying she's coming with the new headscan that got so many people excited.

Yeah, Not sure if Hasbro said the Resistance version of Rey with the more realistic headscan will be another Target exclusive.

I'm just surprised they're making the version at all this long after the first time she showed up on screen.

I agree that she should have already come out. Although the new head looks fantastic and will be a buy for me. But we are getting TFA Luke, Genral Leia & Maz Kanata early in the new movie releases too. Granted, their costumes may not be any different and can be considered either movie, Hasbro is slow. Guess this is what we get with a movie coming every year. Lots of TFA stuff I'd still like to see in 6" and black series 3.75"

This is the way to go.
I'm happy that I skipped the basic Luke, Rey and Kylo because the deluxe versions with soft goods and die cast accessories and actual painted faces just look phenomenal. I'd gladly pay for these and save myself countless hours trying to customize the basic releases.

Good call Hasbro!

Yeah, why'd they do that anyway? Plastic skirt limits articulation.

It's probably a cost thing. They can justify the soft goods on the deluxe figures at the higher price but the cost-of-goods is probably too much to do it on the standard releases.

Do you think the exclusive version might make the regular version pegwarm a bit?

I'm happy to wait til Oct 1st after all the money I preordered today to get the deluxe Luke and if not THEN settle for the regular release.

Oddly enough the images on the box look 10x better than the actual Luke shown. I wonder if it's a placeholder because that face doesn't look anywhere as detailed as the inside pictures shown.

Neat base for him to stand on, but I can get a rock for free and save $20!

This is gonna sit. Just not different enough for most collectors.

Maybe if a saber was included but even with the cloth lower robe it won't make him any more interesting.

Agreed. Just to point out he does have a diecast hand (2) and supposed superior paint quality.
