Luke (Imperial Guard) & Leia (Boushh) SOTE 2 Pack

I'd be okay with the repacked Leia if the Luke were better. He's way too tall and that clone torso looks awful.
 
I honestly don't know why they chose to cut corners at that junction, such little reuse you might as well have wen all in especially on a figure sculpt that can be reused for either troop building or other "disguised" characters even. Nothing saying you can plop Lando's head on one.

They obviously weren't paying attention to the details because the lower portion of the torso more closely resemble the mid-section of Stormtrooper armor.
 
I thought he did, then again, it's been a long time ago since I've ready any of that material and possibly remember it wrong. As often as everyone shows up in disguises, I just assumed it's normal operating procedure.
 
I don't recall seeing artwork of Lando in the armor but I've seen customs of him. I'm not sure if it was stated in the book, but in the comics he wore Stormtrooper armor.

I want that Lando too. But with General Lando still clogging pegs, I don't know that Hasbro would release this Lando individually. Maybe in a 2 pack with someone else. Bounty hunter disguise Chewbacca?

I think it would have made more sense if Luke came with Lando (both in the armor) and have Leia with Chewie/Snoova, but that's just me.

I've done quite a few Shadows customs of characters I thought would never get made. Now Hasbro is starting to make them. When I bought the Boushh Leia with the updated face, I put the original figure on my Shadows shelf. Now she's getting another release. I can't win. 😅

Stormtrooper Armor Lando is easy. Mando Stormtrooper body and Greef Karga legs, straight swaps.

If we don't get an official Lando, I may try this recipe. However, I really hope we get an official figure because in order to truly match the art, he needs to ditch the groin armor. It should just be tan pants below the belt.

If you do, the head I used was Skiff Guard Lando. You just have to dremel a bit further in so it's not sitting too high on the neck peg.

There were some panels where Lando had the groin armor, then some where he's wearing all white lol. Some panels even showed Dash with blue instead of brown shoulder pads (or whatever they call them). I always take comic illistrations with a grain of salt.

I don't have the comic. I was just going off pictures I saw online. All the comic panels I had seen posted online showed Lando without the groin armor. I didn't realize that some panels portray him with the groin armor.
 
Last week pulse sent email saying new shipping eta 4/2. This am bumped up to today
 
^ thier email dept must be on a cheech n chong high. was tempted to pass altogether today on pulse due to that and go elsehere but every place else is all over the map on pricing, pulse was consistant
 
Got another email saying 1 will ship soon or there a new shipping date..3/26...yet my acct still says 4/2. As of 4pm earlier, no charge on my cc. I'll chk again in the am

5am.. no charge on cc, gotta love new pulse ...not

One would think pulse would or should have gotten enough negative feedback by now on these emails to get it fixed.
 
I suspect they are trying to deter a lot of cancelled orders that occurred when they notified people that an order was about to ship. I don’t seem to get those emails anymore. Instead I’ll get the email for when the order is finally charged.
 
^ then, why remind them they have an order out there. Let it process and ship then tell 'm the pkge has left the building...lol

Via pulse. Usps just dropped off. It was raining and carrier did not put it in pkge crate, just set it atop a wet garden hose container. However we entered our coul de sac as driver was pulling away, so no water damage yet. BUT pulse barely taped the box bottom. Only 1 edge of 1 bottom was taped. Again, luckily we arrived when we did. I normally pass on tbs but this set was cool and kinda struck me as a "really-nice-to-have" piece.
Kinda wished disney took some classic novels, like SOTE, and made a movie adaption, even if recasted the OT mains, could've made better watching than the ST, TLJ especially.

It is a little odd to me too, kind of reminds me of the Vintage Collection Skiff Guard Lando that got tweaked with his legs and better paint.............I mean, I'll take the tweaks where the figure is more accurate or improved......... but................ it just is weird that a figure gets some changes where other more important tweaks to other figures don't ever happen.

Me too. But in this case I won't be going out of my way to get this set, and it would be purely for the updated Boussh if I did.
I really don't like that armor Luke is wearing. I keep thinking it's one of the Cobra pilots from G.I. Joe.
