I'll get her. I cancelled my E-Wing earlier but would still like the pilot. I like how it's separate. I wanted Merrick but didn't want the Xwing, so I missed out.
That’s the beauty of 3D assets. They expand the library of 3D models that ILM and other vfx studios can use. They’re just a file away from being imported and dropped into literally any scene. They will show up again, without a doubt.Kind of wasteful to do a 3D model for just the Sabine scene.
Something about the proportions of this figure look a little bit off to me. Like the legs are too long for the torso or something.
I doubt they made those boots for her, especially since you never see her lower half in the show.
Have they been used on a figure elsewhere before? If not then maybe they're borrowed from an upcoming release we haven 't seen yet.
We could say the same thing about you.Who asked for this dude?
It's more noticeable in some pictures than it is in others, so it might not be a problem. I had a similar issue with the Imperial Gunner based on the initial photos, but it wound up looking OK in person.I think I see what you mean. I think it has to do with the swapping of Luke’s boot for these new ones. The new boots look longer than Luke’s, which makes the proportions feel kind of off. Hard to tell until I see a side-by-side comparison.
They tried to do Frog Lady and then reuse her legs for Lt. Callahan, but some ppl said it looked off.The state of this fandom truly saddens me. How could ANYONE possibly think a boring human pilot would make for a better figure than an interesting alien character like Frog Lady? It’s baffling.
So does the photo likeness look like the actress?

She’s got some big ole hands!
My initial thought was TIE Fighter Pilot but they don't appear to have the exact same look, though it could be the color difference throwing it off. Second thought was AT-AT Driver, yet still not accrurate.I doubt they made those boots for her, especially since you never see her lower half in the show.

Speaking of which, someone told me that Frog Lady was played by the same actor who played Kuiil, so, if anything, they could probably get away with reusing Kuiil’s legs and tucking them under a skirt. They tried to do Frog Lady and then reuse her legs for Lt. Callahan, but some ppl said it looked off.

Note: I’m just joking. I know she’s needed for the E-Wing.
I was thinking the Mon Cal new republic trooper had similar boots while the humans had shoes. Maybe they double for him?My initial thought was TIE Fighter Pilot but they don't appear to have the exact same look, though it could be the color difference throwing it off. Might also be for a New Republic trooper, or New Republic Officer such as "Captain Hayle" if we're lucky.
So are names like ‘Squidhead’ and ‘Walrus Man’ but most fans don’t complain about those.Frog lady is a terrible name.
Next you'll tell me there's Stacy the pilot in a fan film.
Humor. So are names like ‘Squidhead’ and ‘Walrus Man’ but most fans don’t complain about those.
Sorry. It can be hard to tell online sometimes.Humor.
Tough room.
I was hoping the fan film reference would have tipped the hand.Sorry. It can be hard to tell online sometimes.
I see. When you’re on the autism spectrum like I am, abstract humor doesn’t always come naturally to you.I was hoping the fan film reference would have tipped the hand.
Ah.When you’re on the autism spectrum like I am, abstract humor doesn’t always come naturally to you.
Useless and obscure pop culture references are my super power. Why couldn’t I just be good at math?Ah.
Well, when you're crazy like I am almost everything eventually connects to an obscure media reference.
My dad asks me that every time I quote something.Useless and obscure pop culture references are my super power. Why couldn’t I just be good at math?
Could be, it's tough to notice things like that in quick flashes of blue pants. With how much Hasbro relies on reuse I expect those boots had other uses besides this one. However, without a picture of the full costume we'll never know how close it is or isn't.I was thinking the Mon Cal new republic trooper had similar boots while the humans had shoes. Maybe they double for him?

Problem for me isn't even the "shape" its more that they are just going to be the same exact height as a male figure(some are fine that way) but that ends up not just making the women look weird but any male next to them is going to look off as well. The pilots do wear baggy jumpsuits, so I can kind of excuse the reuse. However, I’d feel hypocritical for not wanting a true female pilot sculpt since I want a true female imperial officer sculpt. I found the new Dedra Meero’s execution questionable.

To be honest, you're both right. Dedra was bad because the Imp Officer uniform is more form fitting and requires a different sculpt. It's extremely obvious the legs are out of proportion with the rest of the body. A flightsuit doesn't have that issue necessarily, but there is the question of height. With the mid-thigh and/or mid-torso swivel, it should be easy to tool up shorter parts for those areas to give us at least 2 height differences, given that Luke and Wedge are shorter than Biggs and Driess. Female pilots should be made available in both sizes as well, although my guess is most would use the shorter sculpt.Problem for me isn't even the "shape" its more that they are just going to be the same exact height as a male figure(some are fine that way) but that ends up not just making the women look weird but any male next to them is going to look off as well.
