Actually, as far as Leia likenesses go this is one of the better ones. Just needs the eyebrows to be in the right place.
She'll have a nice home alongside her younger self at my Walmart:
I just don't have the words. This figure is mystifying on every level. Why make a super articulated version of this figure when there are so many other figures that would benefit from it? Why release Leia in this outfit before the uniform she wore throughout most of the film? Why add soft goods beneath the plastic outer robe which will render any articulation useless? Then there's the matter of the head sculpt and paint applications. It looks like an intergalactic drag queen.
Thinking about it, the Wal-mart line is not just the SA line its supposed to be a "Collector" line too. So why make this a mass produced 5POA figure no kid would want that would peg-warm everywhere, when you can make a much smaller production run for the exclusive line and make it really nice with SA so collectors don't feel they're getting ripped off?
Agreed, I dont like the eyebrows too. Its a figure I could have lived without.I like this figure apart from the eyebrows of course. Granted we don't need an SA version, but I will take it. I guess now those that were upset about Chewy not getting a hug from Leia can with this figure.
This figure is actually one of the better decisions Hasbro has made in this line. This is absolutely a collector oriented figure, with minimal appeal to many kids, so it should be in this line, not 5 POA. A 5 POA General Organa, just like the 5 POA Han Solo, has more mass appeal, and the pricepoint is right for kids and casual fans, $13+ is not...
I think the figure looks good, the deco needs help, but the sculpt is nice, reminds me of the Dofine figure, where softgoods and plastic meshed well.
I guess I'm in the minority, but I really like how this one is looking and I think the likeness is really good.
