Lego Star Wars not as "good" anymore?

Does anyone else feel like Lego Star wars isnt just as good anymore? Rising prices, overpriced sets, more sets made for adults, community made Lego make too many clone trooper sets to the point we never get original trilogy sets? We also don't have the fun play features and gimmicks older sets used to have, as well as community complaining about clone troopers helmets designs.

Less and less I see things I feel like I need to have. Last year it was *just* the Tantive IV hallway (x2). This year the only thing I want so far is the U-wing. There are alot of remakes of things I already have, and even though they are better, I can't justify buying them again. Also so much Clone and prequel stuff. I don't understand that.

I keep saving my points for something big and it never is quite the right thing. I kick myself for not getting the Ewok village several years ago, and for also buying the small cantina at around the same time. Because invariably they made a better one but I couldn't justify buying it again.

The new Death Star is eh. It's nice how it can stay out of the way but it's not as cool as the original system Death Star.

Part of my issue has always been locking one time release mini -figures behind $500+ or more sets and or repeating the same figures over and over instead of new ones. It's Lego's sales strategy for a long time, but it has finally driven me out. Many of the sets are also just uninspired now as well. I really don't even look anymore. They lost a big time customer.

Yeah, it's kind of like action figures and how they are made more for collectors rather than for actual enjoyment by the companies that make them.

They keep making clone trooper sets and it doesn't help they are getting way too overpriced. No original trilogy battle packs ever.
