It’s a no brainer that LEGO is going to be at both the LA and London Celebrations, but this year the LEGO community group, lead by Steve Witt, is going to be bringing in local collecting/modeling organistations to represent the LEGO SW fan community. I’m not exactly sure where they’ll be in London (perhaps in the fansite area) but they have got some floorspace confirmed.

What would you like to see at the LEGO fan stand - dioramas, custom models, building guides, intructional handouts, tip and tricks classes or something more special?

Put your suggestions into the box and we'll make sure that LEGO sees them!

Those will be at the corporate LEGO stand. We are talking about the fan side of LEGO.

That would be awesome. Maybe Lego could make some translucent bricks at some point for such a project. I could make it my next custom project, but I would need a lot of plastic.

yeah that would look great Nik, maybe if they did the translucent blue ones like the spirit of obi-wan you could do the ghosts in true fashion!

Could someone please invite ACPin to CE?

Problem is, he could easily put LEGO itself to shame...

I was thinking of displaying the entire Star Wars LEGO range, with boxes and sets.

Would that interest anyone?

LOL, very funny.

I like the idea of a lego building competitions, I seem to remember the UCS star destroyer one from some time ago being reported and thinking to myself that would be fun to take part in. Smaller sets would be better.

Gawd Dang!!!

I think building a 3D comic strip of each movie would be cool, each frame using a main point or scene from the film, but for all 6 movies. That would be very cool and incorporate all the sets too - although that is admitedly a hell of a lot of work and probably would have needed starting last December to start
