Lando Calrissian - Skiff Guard Disguise - #76

I'm excited for him! This was always my favourite version of Lando as a kid (I didn't have the General version until I was a fair bit older) and I'm hoping this will be the beginning of Jabba's guards.

Cloud city Calrissian is awesome . This one looks even better but didn't he have a holster in the movie

Yep! Looks good.

Hope they do Gammys next to keep an eye on him.

Actually no, the OTC and TVC figures had them so it's made us all think he had a holster. The Kenner and Mission Series figures don't have it. Han used a skiff blaster to save Lando from the Sarlacc, but Lando didn't if I am remembering correctly.

One being included would have a nice bonus.

i will take this fig over the general fig to be honest. I wonder if hasbro has any ideas of doing a Jabbas Skiff Guard 4 pack, like the Evil guards 4 pack. I am totally in if they did that. Barada, Nikto, Klatuu, a Weequay

There does appear to be a holster on there... Hmm that would explain why Hasbro included it. Wish he did have it, doesn't seem like Lando's style not being strapped.

Plus it was cool for the TVC figure with the blaster.

Also just noticed none of the pictures have the helmet on. Probably since it's an early prototype but I think that and the awkward pose are not helping this guy any.

Like I like this outfit but how it's presented isnt doing it any favors.

And, if I may, once again, as with (IMO) the Death Squad Commander and Rebel Fleet Trooper, the helmet looks a little smallish to me.

Lando didn't wear the blaster w/holster while in the palace, instead brandishing the pike. On the skiff, however, he definitely ditched the pike in favor of a sidearm.

Why this figure?

With blanks spots of great selling designs from the prequels to rogue one, I find the choice of this figure truly an incentive to ensure a leg warmer.

Only reason is this is a variation for young lando from the solo film?

hasbro are probably looking to round out and complete Jabba's Palace/themed figures, they'll probably do a proper ROTJ Tatooine Han Solo next. I think it's a worthy addition to the collection :)

Great figure! was one of my faves as a kid!

Now hurry up and bring out a Gamorrean Guard please Hasbro!

Here's hoping his furry loincloth won't look like he scalped Bozo the Clown this time. That thing was way too huge on the TVC figure.

This would ba amazing! Could they do him justice while keeping him small enough to fit in the standard sized box, though?

Yeah, similar to what they've done with the Jawa and Maz

TVC figure was great, but yeah, they went a bit overboard on the 'Fuzz' haha!

Height wouldn't be a problem, that gut - not sure. If nothing else would make a great exclusive, just to excuse the packaging if it had to be odd size. I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing Slave Leia when they were cheap and peg-warming so any release centered around Jabba hurts me a bit..lol.

I sold both my Boushh and Slave Leia. Kinda regret that now, but then again, I have no desire to get this Lando now because I sold off those two. I also sold my Jabba too.

I really wish they would make the General Lando. I've held out on the Bespin Lando and will hold off on this one too as the only Lando I want is the General. Wouldn't be surprised to possibly even see a 2 pack of General Lando and Admiral Ackbar sometime down the line.

I'm with you on General Lando, can't wait for that one. I also passed on Boushh and I'm gonna have to break down and pay a little extra for it. Always loved the Bounty hunters and have them all so far - I kept seeing Boushh everywhere and should have snagged it when it was at my local retailers for 20 bucks. I'm just really hoping that Bandai releases IG-88 as a 6 inch model kit - he's the only Bounty Hunter fig that disappointed me. Actually thought he was an excellent fig, just an inch too short. I've even been toying with ways to extend his legs.

The figure looks pretty good, but of course all we've seen is the heavily Photoshopped promotional image. It will all depend on how the production figure turns out. I'm mostly excited by the potential for some more Skiff Battle related figures, especially some Skiff Guards.

I've been contemplating extending Iggy's legs for a while. I was considering cutting them above and below the knees and then using sections of drinking straw to extend the legs. The real trick would be matching the paint job, as I'm a novice. The mother option is cutting some plasticard squares to give him 'platform shoes'

I think December is what we're looking at. I mean look the newest Solo figures are already hitting the Philippines, probably will hit over there late October or November.

I really hope the heads work without any permanent mods on the Bespin figure. I just hate that Bespin Lando isn't fun to mess with like newer figures. Solo Lando's cape just doesn't hold him back like Bespin's does. Honestly Krennic and Kylo's plastic capes aren't nearly as infuriating as Lando's thick shell.

I'm getting this Guy, he was always my go-to Lando as a kid and a lot more interesting than Admin Lando and that stupid cape.

Guess it depends on your POV.... I think you are 100 percent right as far as the "cool" factor goes... as a "play-time" figure too... but the Admin Lando is the iconic definitive Lando, and when collecting, that's always my preference as far as prioritizing.

That said: I collect all OT characters, so I need all OT Landos.

So General Lando... and, I suppose, "Smuggler" Lando remain.
