Hasbro will be releasing a Kylo Ren in the 2018 Vintage Collection line.

Any thoughts on this figure? Who's going to purchase it?

Kylo will be added to the collection. Straight repack it seems though i can foresee a face reveal in the near future as well.

Face reveal down the line would be a great opportunity that would include a swappable scarred face accessory.

I know that many are not very friendly to soft clothes, but I would have liked version 3.75 to have looked more like 6 "with one-piece tunic

I think most of us would love more cloth/soft goods on our 3.75". Issue here is engineering at that scale. Almost every past realization from Hasbro was a fail.

I think the loose images today look like they may have altered the arms, head and scarf piece from the TBS version. It might be wishful thinking since those aspects left me highly dissatisfied with the TBS one, but I'd swear the arms look a lot less puny now.

It's a maybe for me. Probably get one for the card art but if it's the same BS figure I've got like 6 of them already.

My first definite YES of the return of the TVC line. But it will probably be hard to find.

To mkae it worth buying again, they should have put that new 5POA head on this figure!

I think the Hascon image looks different there. It'd be nice to see the 5POA head, a cloth or removable plastic hood, and a separate scarf piece. I think the arms look different which would be great, nobody seems to notice how puny the upper arms were on the TBS version.

Those little changes would do so much to make a MUCH better Kylo Ren figure.

this will look amazing on a Vintage card and I can't wait for it. That said I just wish Vintage didn't have to equal SA and Softgoods. There are better Rens than this version, I hate mismatched half and half soft goods.

No there isn't. The ONLY thing any of the 5 POA versions have over the SA one is the separate hood and scarf (the SA one is all one piece).

It was a rather a poor choice that Hasbro did not go the distance with the BS figure, as far as having the helmet with separate hood combo. And that same poor choice does not seem to be rectified with the vintage card, its like a two time loser.

I hear you. But I see this release fitting in with Hasbro's penchant for the double-dip. They're trying to get their money's worth out of the WalMart 3.75" Black Series sculpt by offering it on the TVC card.

And in a year or two, we'll see more 3.75" super-articulated versions of Kylo Ren. But not so soon as to hurt the sales of figures like the current 3.75" Force Link figures. Those need to have their turn at retail before Hasbro improves on them with Kylo Ren having the same look, but now with improved articulation.

5POA / Force Link figures should have no connection with super-articulated figures. It shouldn't matter what they put out & when between the 2 lines. I'm only looking for quality figures and will buy that regardless of what 5POA stuff is hanging on the pegs. The quicker Hasbro treats the lines like that again, the better.

the trouble is the amount of people like this is so negligible that Hasbro can’t do anything about that. The majority of buyers get a “character” and that’s that.

Seeing that we’re somewhat close to these being released (on eBay anyhow),does anyone know if there is will be ANY difference in any whatsoever(different cloth, possible better hilt holder, anything?) between the Walmart Black Series and this one?

On some of the images I've *suspected* that the SGs might be a bit shorter and not trail on the floor as much.

Supposedly they are straight repacks but the same was said about the Black Series 3.75" Walmart repacks (ERG, Tusken Raider etc) and they all had minor to significant changes/improvements when they arrived.

There are some changes. For Jyn, her holster is no longer glued to her leg and Rey has matching colored ankle joints.

I believe that Jyn has a darker and more accurate shirt as well.

Nearly three years since the TFA line launch, and still no unmasked SA Ren. Get with it, Hasbro!

That figure looks neat. I think the unmasked version only in the movie looks more interesting. There is only a 6 inch figure like that.

Snagged a super cheap Kylo through Amazon Warehouse, and finally made the custom we've all been talking about. The sad part is it took THREE figures to make this one.

I just ordered Kylo on Amazon.ca for $5. I don't mind purchasing him at that price, but otherwise I was going to pass on him.
