Kuiil - #TM07

He needs a blurrg. But other than that, he's OK. I'm glad we're getting him. I liked Kuiil. I have spoken.
What concerns me is that if Hasbro were to do a Black Series Blurrg what figure would they pack with it? Another Quill? So, I guess this could mean it is very unlikely we will ever get a BS Blurrg. :(

I've really been wanting this figure, and the sculpt looks great. But the clothes are very bright. It's going to need a heavy black wash.

The recently re-released wampa didn't come with a figure. Do we have to have a figure with a large creature? Maybe Hasbro would see it that way since this is a creature people ride, but I wouldn't mind if a blurrg came without a rider (depending on the price). Give us another Kuiil if a figure is necessary, though. I wouldn't mind.

Better yet, make it a blurrg two pack, without figures. We need a blurrg for Mando, too.

Didn't specifically love the character, but the fact that he is an Ugnaught/alien means I'm in. He will go well with the Offworld Jawa.

I think in the old days a beast with a pack-in figure was more for marketing play factor for kids, and not feeling like well I've got eh beast but who's gonna ride it? Especially if the figure is either released months later or winds up being short packed and is HTF. Today I don't think they stick to that as much, which seems logical since fewer kids are into them than they were in the 80's.

I'm so hoping that Kuill's cap is removable without damaging his head, that way I can customize a few backround characters.

Maybe, and a bummer if you're right. But it's Hasbro, they seemingly love money, although they don't know how to make them well enough.
But they can release a blurrg on it's own. Big Deluxe or something, charge $40/$50 for it.

I would for sure buy a stand alone Blurrg no question. I just hope Hasbro sees it that way, or decides to repack a figure in there anyway. I'd still buy it even if the figure was a repack.

IF Hasbro comes up with a Blurrg, I guess we get a new version of Kuill too.
I might be wrong, but the revealed Kuiil, to me it doesn't look he might fit right seated on the broad back of a Blurrg. Besides a new outfit, with his darker vest and maybe his backpack would be nice.
Thinking of it, so far we never got any rideable vehicle or creature WITHOUT a rider 😉

They really nailed the face sculpt.

It will be an absolute travesty if they don't give us a Blurrg in the not too distant future. Personally I'd rather the Blurrg come sans rider. I mean I'm gonna need three, right? This way I don't have a pile of Kuiil's kicking around.

Seeing him next to the photo certainly makes his coloring seem brighter than they should be, perhaps the final product will be tones down.

The sculpt looks good but the color must be off on my tv and other devices as I don’t remember such almost citrusy colors that Hasbro has applied to all of their Kuiil prototypes. Maybe the correct, darker colored version will be released with the much wanted blurrg.

I wonder if this figure will come with an articulated jaw? It's one of the few headsculpts where you can perfectly hide it.
I wondered that too, Ackbar style. It would be great to make to be able to make him say "I have spoken."
Fingers crossed, they might have to add some value to a smaller figure.

I saw a picture of Kuiil, it might have been concept art or an early production still or costume test or some such and the colors actually were a lot closer to the figure than what we see in the show. So I'd assume that played a role in the palette for the figure.

Any road, I love the character to bits, so I can't wait to get my hands on what looks like should be the credit collection Kuiil. :)

Even though I'm on a 'spending freeze', I HAD to preorder one of these.

Cool that the head gear is removable too!

Removable helmet makes this more attractive as potential custom fodder if we ever get an ESB Ugnaught.

with that removable hat thing, It'll make it a lot easier to customize one into Melch!
