Did they have a price listed for him at SDCC? It's probably just the pose, but I'm having a hard time getting over how much more gangly he appears in this scale as opposed to the 1/6 version.

Well pre-order is up. He's an eye watering $650....

I know he's tall, but gosh this feels very expensive....

Darth Vader came up at start of 2015 2 1/2 years ago. These are not the days of when I started collecting Pf cost low 200 hundreds. took 4 years to hit $300.00. then 2 more years to hit $350.00 now 5 more years have hit this level, $50.00 a year increases. Jerry who owns Pop Culture Shock wrote that not enough companies around to do production and this is pushes up cost of making statue. He is able to sell his at $350.00 to $500.00 but you have to 3 years to get your piece.

While this makes some sense. At this price point and with further rises potentially being in the offing. I am worried that sideshow will kill this market and this line. Which would be a huge shame...

I've been collecting Star Wars for many years and love my premium formats. But I am struggling to justify spendng $650+ on new individual pieces....

Not just Sideshow Gentle Giant 12 statue cost $100.00 when I started a few years ago they released a statue and cost almost $300.00. GG gave up mostly on that scale not sure if they do it anymore, I gave up on it myself.

Yes I agree at some point won't be enough people or enough money to go around. Now to ship I pay about quadruple what I once paid. I shipped my Skaar PF in 2014 from west coast to Flod. and that weighted $40lbs and cost me $70.00 now to ship just to next state for a 34lbs statue cost almost $100.00.

Kids Logic just made 1/4 Robotech statue at 18 inches and that's $770.00. without shipping

I don't know what these companies are suppose to do if cost just keep going up they have to charge more. When we hit $400.00 level I knew this market was going to be a mess.

Sideshow was able to do Hulk vs Wolv maqutte so cheap because of
they made 2000 ex and 4000 reg. so they make less per unit put sale many more. K 2SO wont have too many might get 500 so they have to make more per unit. No way they could sell that many of K 2SO they have to bring it down $400.00 or lower.

I was planning on getting this but can't justify it at this price. Especially when I know it won't look good without the eyes lit and seeing as how there won't be an AC adapter power option I'd never turn it on. Unfortunately this is a pass now. They should've at least painted the eyes so it would look good turned off.

Way too pricey for the lack of material being used & features available. They'll have this one sitting on their shelves for a while.
