Looks like people can stop swapping heads on the Imperial ground crew figure, Hasbro is making Jyn Erso in Imperial Ground Crew Disguise:

Thoughts on this figure?

My main thoughts are, A) What a good sculpt, hope the production fig looks as good. And B) Man I wish it was SA.

The helmet on the Jyn figure looks like a different shape? Also looks like it might have a see-through visor? Hard to tell.

For comparison:

It's leaning back and pointing upwards a bit but might be slightly different in order for it to fit over the head.

Thanks to this I learned I can put the landing signals on the back and that the thing on Jyns back in the trailer was a landing signal

It looks like the same helmet but in "opened" position, kind of like welding masks.

Looks great. I'm going to end up with 4 Jyn's. (Eadu, JEDHA, Black Series). Hopefully she proves worthy:)

Well it does look like in the scene where her and Cassian are in disguise, she is wearing her brown rebel boots.
So poops on you! :p

I really like this one. I was hoping they would make this version of her. It's my #1 want from the main line of Rogue One figures.

That's a new one. They customized it for us! It's the exact same sculpt as the regular one, just slightly different paint and a new head.

I'm not surprised they did it that way. They had to know people would buy more of the Ground Crew figure right off the bat for customs before they announced this version. I'm more surprised that they released Jyn (Eadu) before Jyn (Jedha). Already picked up an extra Ground Crew fig, so at least they saved me buying another Jyn - except for this one, of course :)

doesn't make sense to me at all. I am sure hasbro doesn't make decisions based on what they hope customisers will or won't do. Any figure would sell well enough in wave 1 regardless.

If they wanted to do a Ground Crew figure, why not do a regular male trooper? Instead they have done two Jyns in disguise, one without a removable helmet.

The ground crew figure is gender neutral. It can easily be male if you want it to be.

Yeah that Death trooper is a bit skinny, and tall looking. I haven't decided if I want to use his head elsewhere, like for a Republic Commando. Or sell him off.

Just playing devils advocate, do we know that's the case with them? Perhaps they are all female, perhaps short height is part of the job description.

Of course there's always the obvious, Hasbro underscaled them because they are lazy.

well yes, and I have been saying that, we don't know that there aren't female Ground Crew. And for this part of the story to make sense, there would need to have been a female Imperial Crew, cos Jyn would look ridiculous in a bigger uniform. However, I do think it's more likely that Hasbro is just being lazy. We'll see.

Looks like the visor does indeed come down. I wonder if there's a way to cut the visor out to get this look...?

When do people think we'll see wave 3 on the shelves? Before or around the film launch or not until the New Year?

I think Wave 3 is going to be after the release the movie similar to the Resistance Rey wave from TFA
Ok, so maybe late Jan or Feb then. Do you think Wave 3 will be the last wave for Rogue One? Upcoming characters that we know about:

* Jyn Imperial Disguise
* Admiral Raddus
* Bodhi Rook
* Deathtrooper Specialist
* Scarif Trooper
* Fenn Rau
* Admiral Thrawn

This makes 7 which the waves have consisted of so far. Is this the final figures for this line or is there another yet to be revealed wave? :eek:

I would hope there are a few more waves. It's tough to say, TFA seemed really light on figures to me, I don't know if it was planned that way or they just ran out of time. I hope R1 has a good 3/4 more waves?

Unfortunately, I think we've seen just about everything we're going to get from R1. With the possibility of one or two more surprise figures. We have to keep in mind, that Hasbro has already said this line would have less offerings. So far they are on par with that. The only question is, how much less product are they talking about?

TFA has 29 basic figures, and R1 will be just about half way there with wave 3.

you are probably right, but I hope not. I really hope not. From the trailers alone there are a few cool rebels that are essential, as well as variations for the main characters. And when we see the film there will be tons of figures that we are crying out for. But there won't be much opportunity to do many more. I am hoping Hasbro can squeeze in a few spring and summer waves before Ep VIII.

Hopefully, just as the Rogue One waves contained Rebels figures and Force Awakens figures, we'll see a Rogue One character or two pop up in other lines.

But, then again, maybe not. Maybe Hasbro felt they needed to flesh out Rogue One with figures from other parts of the franchise since Rogue One is considered a placeholder between the main saga films.

Its like trying to get TFA at this point. I cant imagine many TFA figures coming out at this point. I am sure we will see the odd one or two, but not many. And when we do, its likely to be a main character variation. So the chances of us getting some of the background characters are VERY slim. Its a shame, but after spring I just think there will be no R1 figures coming aside from the odd figure. If we dont get Blue Leader and a Rebel Soldier or two in the spring, then I dont fancy the chances at all.....
