Hi everybody,

Just got around to take a few pics of some Headsculpts I haven't shown here, yet.
Partially I had to wait for some bodies from Hasbro to come out like the one for Dr.
Evazan, some are a bit older and I didn't show them because I had not finished the
body-work for those heads, and some are relatively new ones I just made over the
past couple of months ... anyhow - here is the *first* bunch - there are more to
come over the next few days as I have yet t take some more pics ...

Hope you all enjoy

Cheers & take care,

Evergrey :)

First up is my Version of the ESB *Snowtrooper Commander* Helmet ...

... Since I do not like the *Peanut-head* Ponda Baba that we got from
Hasbro, I sculpted my own (a bit more nostalgic and true to the prop)
Walrus Man head to fit the Hasbro body ...

Oh I have been waiting for Hasbro to deliver this guy forever, and as
soon as I got him just yesterday I dug out the headsculpt I had made
for him a while ago and put it on that body ... I think it turned out nice,
but if you don't like him don't worry - he doesn't like you either ^^ ...

And the last one of this lot is the Werewolf guy from the Cantina
known as *Arleil Schous* ... the body of the Evolutions Luke
worked perfectly on this one in look and colors - the paws are
repainted Ponda Baba hands, and the belt is from some Han figure ...

Hope you all enjoyed ... I'll post the next set soon, so stay tuned for
a young Jedi Master Dooku, finally a Bespin Guard with Mustache and
some more ...

Everygrey, you're so good that it kills me. You know how long I've wanted a Snowtrooper Commander sculpt (don't worry, I'm not asking you!) and I think it's so cool that you did one that it helps give me inspiration to do my own. Ponda is fantastic too.

You've got a real talent. I might do some cool things with customs but it's all mostly parts swapping and repaints. Dudes like you and SithFire are truly artists in a category all of their own. You oughta be well compensated for your abilities!

those first pics are just jaw dropping, that snowtrooper commander sculpt is awesome, just need a custom/kitbash body to go with it...

That Arleil Schous sculpt is spot on! Amazing work on all of these. Evazan and Ponda look so much better with your headsculpts.

The Ponda Baba and Indy sculpts are my favorites here; I don't think I've seen anyone come closer to a spot-on sculpt of Harrison Ford. Bravo!

Love 'em, all of them. I defy Hasbro to give us a better Arleil.

P.S. You wouldn't happen to have any figures of Bom Vimdim, Pons Limbic and Hem Dezon for a group shot would you? Not if a photo request is okay.

Wow man, just WOW!

Love the Snowtrooper Commander and the Walrus Man. The Evazan is awesome. I hate the Hasblow one because he seems like he's smiling. This one just oozes his bad-ness.

What white paint/brand did you use for the Commander?

Thanks a lot AgentClaret :) I'm not worried about you guys asking for
copies ... not anymore, as I'm currently thinking of a way to get all those
small heads and helmets out to you without getting myself into poodoo ^^

I was too lazy to do much work to the body - a ranking badge did it for now ^^

Thanks a lot Scarrviper - glad you like them :)

Everytime I look at those hugely *blown up* pics I still find LOTS of faults in
those sculpts ... then I have to remind myself that in reality these heads are
not much bigger than a peanut, but these faults then still bug me ...

I do have those guys, and when I will take the next pics, I'll try and take a pic with those guys.
Do you just want the 4 guys Bom, Pons, Hem and Arleil in that pic, or Evazan and Ponda, too ???

Another great set of customs. It's like you release your own waves of figures!
^^ lol ... maybe I'll name the next Thread *Wave 4 Headsculpts* :p

Exactly that *smiling* expression is also what bothers me about the Hasbro head.

The color is Games Workshops Skull White with a tiny drip of AV Vallejo Field Blue
mixed in it. I tried to match the color Hasbro used on their Snowtroopers.

Here are 2 pics I had posted in another thread, but I really like them because you
can so much better see the detail in Ponda Baba ... I'm just not good at photography ...
plus my Digi cam is over 10 years old crap ^^ ...

REALLY?!? I don't want to make a big deal over it (discretion sounds sensible in this situation), but keep me posted on it! It would be so cool to augment my stuff with your art!

Welllll if I can be picky, I was just looking for a pic of those four in their movie configuration. Just for curiosity's sake. But it doesn't matter so long as I can keep drooling over that Wolfman

Incredible, just incredible. I love the Arleil. You may have already done so but if you made a business casting the your heads and pre-painting them you could make insane amounts of money. I know because I do a lot of customizing and whenever I sell off extra heads they go for a good chunk of change.

Thanks a lot Michael :) the Arleil sculpt took an insane amount of time to get
that *70s crappy werewolf mask* look right, but I think it turned out nice ...

Exactly that is what I can't do due to my job (I'm a pro sculptor in the toy business)
as selling *pirate copies* of licensed stuff could hurt my reputation and could get my
work / life / future into serious trouble.
What I CAN do is sell *one-off* commission sculpts - whatever happens with those
after the client received the sculpt is out of my hands ;) ...

I know because I do a lot of customizing and whenever I sell off extra heads they go for a good chunk of change.
I can imagine that, but aside from the problems I could get due to my job, I
also have a huge time problem - I am so stuffed with work, that I can hardly
find the time to work on these things off hours. For example just painting a
Walrus-Man head or an *easy* human head like Piett already takes way over
an hour, Arleil took about 2 hours to paint and that Boba Fett Helmet calmost
made me go nuts as it took over 5 hours to paint it ... and the sculpting takes
days and days and days (in some cases like Vader, Yoda or Arleil it took weeks).

So we need to find someone who has good casting skills... man am I kicking myself for not biting the bullet and buying a casting kit and figuring it out by now. I hear it's kinda complicated and there's a bit of a learning curve though...

I couldn't do it myself either, and always had to pay a friend of mine who
is a very good moldmaker (but sadly he isn't cheap). Then we had a bit of
a falling out over him always taking forever to finish my stuff, so I decided
to finally buy some silicone and resin on ebay, watch a couple moldmaking
tutorials on youtube and learn how to make molds and casts the easy and
fast way. I started that about a good 2 months ago, and I'm getting better
and better ... sadly to really make *perfect* casts an *Air-pressure-cabin*
is needed, and the cheapest good quality setup I could find was about 6000€
... ouch ouch ouch ... but since I don't really need to make a lot of molds
the *cheap* way will do ... btw. it's not that hard in the end - try and error
worked great for me, as the hardest part with every mold is to find the best
position for the air-canals and the pouring-hole where you pour the resin into
the mold.

Is the head on your Indy a homemade cast or based off an existing Hasbro sculpt?
That Indy head + hat are my own sculpts and are not
based on any Hasbro head :) ...
here is a pic of a cast of that head in flesh-colored resin ...

Hello there ^^ ... I'm really sorry, but if you read some of my other
posts in this or other threads like *the huge lot ...* you would've
found out that I don't sell or offer castings of these sculpts I made.
What I do offer is the entire lot of them only one time including a
painted sample of each head. You will find everything about that
offer in the thread titled Official Custom Parts Trade / Sale Thread v3
I'm currently thinking about dropping the price a bit, as I did have
loads of requests, but nobody up until now could really afford it.

Very cool sculpts, though am I the only one who thinks Arleil Schous is a "bat" and not a werewolf?
Also not to nitpick as your custom is sweet but that outfit and hands are not the ones he had in the movie though this image is cutoff
you can see his hands and gray jacket clearly.

No problem ^^ ... well, as far as I remember that actually was a werewolf mask
that Rick Baker had lying around at the time (could be wrong though).
Concerning the body - I was just putting together a quick kitbash that would
fit the head I sculpted. I used that Evolutions Pack Luke and put a repainted
set of the spare Ponda Baba hands on him - did not go for accuracy with the
body, as I did not have the time to do it. I was just looking for a *random*
body with decent clothes that supported the look and feel of the thing :)

Hello there :)

Just take a look at my last post in the *huge lot* thread ;)
Had a couple offers on the lot, but sadly nothing I could accept.

Cheers,
