I got excited until I saw "pint sized figures", although I think that is the best scale for figures involving giant dinosaurs.

Hopefully they’re just calling 1:18th scale “pint sized” in comparison to 6”.

Also, hopefully this shows Hasbro you can make a mass market, articulated figure line with accessories for under $10. I won’t hold my breath, though.

It looks like they'll be about the same size/style as the kinda okay Avatar toyline. But I'm totally cool with that! Jurassic Park/The Lost World is still my favorite toyline I've ever had and it's because it was such a fun line with humans and vehicles and dinos and joy. And it looks like Mattel wants it to be fun line. I mean they even have the humans include Dino Buddies! DINO BUDDIES!!!! I can't wait!

I see the female characters are 3D, which is one more dimension than they had in the movie.

Definitely up for the non-articulated mini dinos, I had a ball tracking down all the variants from the last film. That's how dinosaur figures should be.

I agree that I think "pint sized" are 1:18 scale. Dino buddies and it looks like they have knee and elbow articulation. These are just pluses that keep adding up.

I wish there was a collectors line but human figures and dinos is very reminiscent of the first Jp toy line. I'll hold out that the figures are 3inch but that's wishful thinking.

I gotta agree with GNT. I'd have probably loved these as a kid but I'm not so moved now. I miss the rubber skin dinos. That mosasaur is cool, though!

No, I think these are 3.75" figures, I saw some videos from Toy Fair and the big colossal Rex can eat figures and they fall out of a cavity opening in his stomach that you can open. Definitely regular sized figures that match the original Kenner line. Mattel pretty much nailed while Hasbro dropped the ball majorly.

AgentClaret, although I can't confirm the Rex, the brand new Mosasaur is touted as having "real feel" skin like the old school ones, so you can at least look forward to that one. I'm really happy to see that the basic line of dinos has an action feature for each one, just like the OG toys had and for a decent price point of $14.99

If you check the statement last year on jptoys.com when Mattel got the license, they did say they had plans for a collector's line that would have characters from all the movies, with movie accurate accessories. I don't think I've heard much about that since, but that was at least in the initial plan.

I saw an Alan Grant in a picture with his khakis and blue shirt with hat, so I'm thinking it's already in the works. It was a huge group shot pic not from Toy Fair, but it looked really good, although the shirt seemed a little too light of a blue shade. I can't imagine how cool a modern JP line could be, but my wallet is begging for forgiveness if they start making those along with full-sized dinos and maybe even a playset or dio for them like the raptor compound....holy Toledo...between that kind of stuff and the Sail Barge and the Diamond Select Real Ghostbusters figures, there is too much awesomeness to collect in 2018!

I was hoping to see some of those figures at toy fair, i'm glad to hear someone did see something of them! A raptor compound or control room or rex breakout. I would want them, but the space and money would be the biggest factors for me.

I cam across the Rampage figure of the Rock, and thought is was horrible compare to the Joe figure of a few years back.

spotted one the other day and noticed the crazy painted eyes and couldn't stop thinking of his catch phrase "if you smell what the Rock is cooking" lol. I do love some of the Chap Mei stuff like this but the figures and even the oversized animals is too much. If they go on clearance I might pick a few of them up for the accessories but that's about it. I'd wind up throwing out the animals except maybe the gorilla.

Lizzy looks awesome! Works great in a SW diorama.
I had to look up these figures. I suspect that like Kong Island, we won't get these in Canada.

I did notice we now have Stretch Armstrong figures. I like the Alien, but wish it looked like the original toy. I loved that thing. I still have the head. The body lost a fight in a Mexican Standoff between tall grass and a lawnmower.

I haven't heard or seen anything regarding a release date, but I'm starting to get hyped for these and the movie.

In one of the videos, the Mattel rep says April 16th. I’m not sure which video, but there aren’t many on YouTube so it shouldn’t take long to find.

Jptoys.com actually has a pretty substantial update on this line. 3 waves of each of their basic/deluxe/vehicles lines. Wave 1 is due mid April, wave 2 summer, wave 3 fall. They have some nice in package shots and wave breakdowns. The basic line for figures/humans looks like it'll be priced $7-10, the bigger dinos look to be around $20 and the deluxe dinos (big Rex, mosasaur) around $30.

From the pictures they show and ones I found through the website Jurassic outpost, it looks like Mattel is really going all in on this line, at least in terms of number of dinos and options. This is pretty exciting.

So pumped for all this, can't wait to see these up close. With TRU going down, this is the best news to hear that Mattel is doing this line so much justice. It would be great if they went with retro cards ala Hasbro with the classic sunset palms across the top.

I'm actually both pumped and worried for this line at the same time. with TRU going under it makes me wonder if Target and Walmart can handle the line properly. plus with the waves going into the fall of this year will retail sales be enough to see Wave 3 get released?

Interesting, they seem to be offering more Human figures this time out. And possibly with more articulation?

Well,l given that two human figures would legitimately be double what the first Jurassic World brought....

I didn't know they were offering a Gallimimus figure, or a few others listed on JPToy's list. WOW. I'm glad my girlfriend told me I could have these for my birthday, otherwise I don't think I could afford to purchase them all.

It looks to me like they have ball jointed knees and elbows, and hips that will allow them to sit and kick up to their side (in blinking on the name for that joint).

I REALLY like the way that big Rex looks. I really don't think I have the room for her. Definitely not enough room for her to be displayed like she should be...

Apparently these toys are beginning to show up at retail now. I see they're also listed (with prices) on Mattel's website:

https://shop.mattel.com/shop/en-us/ms/jurassic-world-toys#facet:&productBeginIndex:0&orderBy:&pageView:grid&minPrice:&maxPrice:&pageSize:&contentPageSize:&

What all is everyone going to pick up when they see them?

So far, my list is:

- Basic Owen figure
- Basic Merc. figure
- Owen + Blue Story Pack
- Raptor + Gallimimus Pack
- Gallimimus X3
- Baryonyx
- Mosasaurus

And then eventually, the diecast Jeep when it's available...

And whichever T-Rex scales better to that vehicle. (Which one do you guys think would? I've heard the cheaper Rexy is around 21 inches long, and the Colossal Rex is around 36 inches. I would presume a properly scaled 3.75 Rex would be around 25 inches though, given her 40 ft length.)

To start, my wants are:
Owen and Blue story pack
Claire and gyrosphere story pack
Grant (target exclusive)
Ellie (target exclusive)
Muldoon (target exclusive)
Malcolm (target exclusive)
Stegosaurus
Triceratops

After that, its really gonna depend on space more than anything. I'm definitely down for any humans they release though.

I’m pretty much down for all the humans. If they’re up to modern standards I’ll probably buy multiples for customs. I’ll probably get the vehicles as well. I don’t think I could swing the Colossal Rex, but I’ll have to see how big the smaller Rex is before committing.

I can't wait to get the new Legacy figures! They certainly do look pretty awesome, just hoping their eyes and paint aren't wonky. Love the realistic accessories, but it's a little weird that we get all the figures with compys? They are clearly from JP2, a movie none of the those characters are in aside from Malcolm. And Grant comes with a flare pistol, which he used in JP3 in an entirely different outfit. I guess it's a way for us to get all the classic movie stuff in one line, but I'd have much preferred that instead of a dino, Grant and Ellie would come with more movie-specific accessories. I'd love to see Grant with a lit flare, SPAS12 shotgun like Muldoon, and maybe a hatched egg and raptor claw. These would have been AMAZING accessories. As for Ellie, she needs her walkie with belt clip too, that could be inserted into her waist. The Flashlight is awesome, but she should come with a yellow rain slicker that you can put over top of her, like a cloak. Same with Muldoon, and he should also have a flashlight. As for Ian Malcolm, he should come with a replaceable battle damaged leg, and non-glasses headsculpt so you could have him in both scenarios. I think Malcolm does come with a lit flare. Just seems weird they didn't go all out like that for collectors level stuff. The basic JW2 toys look great for what they're trying to do and certainly work well being simple but with awesome articulation. Just wish we'd have gotten more practical stuff for the Legacy Collection. Still buying all 4 and the big Rex and Jeep. Would love to see the Explorer done in the future!

I kinda liked that they come with Compys because it reminds me of the old Sega game where compys were everywhere. I didn't expect the legacy line would be basically the basic figures in different colored packaging, but I like that they're compatible the Jurassic World line and we won't be paying double for just fancy packaging. And I was definitely surprised Grant didn't come with his raptor claw. Either way, not disappointed in the slightest.

oh man I didn't know that Ellie and Malcolm were getting figures too.. that is awesome news indeed. Hopefully they will be easy to find. I really want all the JP1 figures as well as some of the Jurassic World figures too.
