Watching that video he mentions removing the frustrations from collecting. I'm not sure 5,000 pieces shipped at random across three retailers is removing frustrations.

To those denying the 1 in 15000... why does the chart say "1 of 15000" then? I apologize, but I don't understand the difference between "1 in 15000" and "1 of 15000"
1 in 5000 is still going to create a lot of headache for people who care about getting them all.
1 in 15,000 and 1 of 15,000 are identical when exactly 225,000,000 units are produced. Less than that and 1 of are better odds.

Oh, so they are hard capped at 5000 and 15000 respectively. How does that work when they don't necessarily know how many they are going to produce? Anyway...
I guess what really matters to me is the case breakdown. It looks like they come in cases of 12 based on the photos. You are not guaranteed any rares or super rares in a case? If they guaranteed that each case of 12 had, say, 2 rares and 1 super rare, that feels a lot more realistic for people.

Lol, well I'm happy with my two.
Opened the X-Wing first and I'm pretty happy with it, price aside but we live in crappy times and it is both brand new and licensed so I'll let it go.
It is very detailed and uses lots of paint to give it that grimy lived in feel that Star Wars is known for, the action features are there and work nicely but are unobtrusive. The whole thing feels like it treads a very nice middle ground between toy and model really.
Only complaint is that the wings don't close flush on my copy but a hairdryer should be able to sort that out.
The figures are decent for their size, you can't really tell it's Luke with the helmet on so you could just repaint R2 with minimum effort if you wanted different rebel ships.
The packaging is nice too, the blister came away without ruining the backing card too much and it doesn't use any ties to hold it in there. The plastic package holds it very tightly by itself, I actually had to think for a moment about the best way to pry it out without bending anything. The ship goes back in with no trouble too.
The figures come in a little separate clamshell that you can take out or leave in there.
Overall I am very pleased, a great start to this promising new line.
I'll open Vader's ship later once I've had some lunch!
