Thoughts on this figure?
 
I have the “other” jet pack from the gaming greats version - curious to see if it will be compatible or not.

Glad he’s a standard release. Will gladly trade the flame effects for $10 off lol
 
I’m getting tired of buying figures only for them to get a major overhaul a few years later. I got the Gaming Greats in 2021, and I know it’s based on a sculpt from 2016, but still. I actually think I will pass and keep my GG version, unless I see this one on sale.

Yeah, I've been feeling this way about a lot of the different toy lines I collect. It gets really old rebuying the same characters again to get better versions of them. With my favorite characters, I'm more willing to buy the upgrade. But with Jango, I'm not sure I really want to spend the money. And then, figures I desperately want upgraded are nowhere to be seen. Hasbro has been sitting on that Imperial Light Cruiser Luke Skywalker mold for a few years and still hasn't given us a slight retool into Jabba's palace Jedi Luke.

I kind of agree, not enough going on for me to be bothered although the new sculpt is good and helmet is a better shape. Happy with the GG version also.

I'm hoping that the sculpt isn't too far off from the ROTJ Boba so he can re-use the accessories like the flamethrower and jet effects.

I've got a number of Bobas (was planning but decided against a kitbash) so I've got flame effects and jetpacks to spare lol

Yeah, would have been nice to have gotten the pilot head and other stuff like TVC, but maybe they'll make another version that comes with the alternate jetpack and head. Or a deluxe.

Oh yeah I'm definitely looking forward to this! I've heard that the more premium lines like the Figuarts/Mayfex/etc can be pretty hit or miss. I got the Figuarts Boba Fett (Mandalorian S2) and after the excitement died down, I realized that I was actually pretty disappointed with it. (Plus the rangefinder broke and was eaten by the carpet monster T_T)

I really like TBS and for the most part I've been pretty happy with their figures...

I get what you mean, but ultimately if you're happy with what you have, this shouldn't be a problem for you, just ignore it.

On the other hand, there are new collectors everyday, plus if remade figures take us from the original Leia, Han and Chewie to what we have now, not to mention the 2020 Stormtrooper and countless others, then I'm all for it.
 
that would be a mistake though…Jango’s build is short and squat. Hasbro continues to be clueless. I mean they did this already with the old Jango sculpt and reusing that for TCW mandos and that awful Pre Vizla.

They may be doing something similar to the TVC Jango from a year or two ago, who shared parts with several other Mandalorian figures and ended up being quite lanky (taller than the most recent TVC Boba, in fact).

I’m not really happy with it, that’s the problem. Being a relatively recently released figure I wouldn’t expect a complete overhaul a few years later - it’s just sort of a slap in the face. But it is what it is.
 
Anyone think Hasbro would be bold enough to give us kid boba? I know Ani is a bigger character but I can't help but want new kid bobas to doing Jango in both scales...

Listed among Yak’s Intercepted Transmissions are "Boba Fetts"—plural. I suppose one of these is the long-rumored TBOBF version. But, FWIF, I think Young Boba might be a possibility.

Second the motion for Taun We.

Don't Boba and Omega essentially wear the same outfit? Hasbro could recycle some tooling there.
 
But Omega is "cartoony," no?

Young Boba needs to be super-realistic!

Just watch. After this one sells out, they'll announce a $75 "special edition" that includes Boba and all the other accessories like the other jetpack, the pilot head-gear, poncho, etc.

And we'll all gripe and complain and then buy it anyway.

Omega’s tunic has a raised yoke, which Boba’s does not:

But several customizers have used her as a base for Boba—after altering the torso. Among said customizers is george_and_toys, who also sculpted the stellar portrait seen below.

Yeah. Looking at the two again, the similarities are more superficial than I thought; good enough for customs but if Hasbro's going to make a proper young Boba for AOTC they really couldn't re-use anything.
