Any thoughts on this figure? Would you buy him?

I wouldn't be able to buy this one fast enough. I hope he's fully loaded with accessories (non helmeted head, headset, both jetpacks) but even if he came with just his blasters I'd buy him without hesitation.

I would probably buy him if I saw him on store shelves -- not a must-buy for me like Boba, so no preodering Jango. But I imagine Hasbro could knock this one out of the park.

Yay!!! I'd buy this! Here's what I'd want with him

-Helmet
-Twin Blasters
-Jetpack
-Headset
-Alternet Head
-Poncho
-No Wierd String Thingy.

I don't think so, but he did use capitalization and punctuation if I remember correctly. :whistling:

I wonder if they'll just make a removable helmet or perhaps include a helmeted head and an alternate helmet-less head.

Definite purchase for me. And I also agree with a lot of other collectors here that I wanna see alternate jetpacks. And if he comes with a removeable head, then that would just be icing on the cake for me. I could have Mace stand over Jango's decapitated corpse, lookin' all Pulp Fiction.

That will be interesting to see how they handle helmets on figures that need them to be removable or swappable. I'm kind of leaning towards swaps instead of hollow helmets.

Thankfully they didn't give Boba a hollow helmet. I'm also hoping for swappable heads.

Yeah, both of them on their sides, Jango without a head and Fett partially digested because neither one of them could operate their own dang jetpacks.

Anyway, the more I think about it, the more I really want swappable instead of removable. The pea head syndrome would really look horrible at a larger scale.

Swappable for the win! Removable helmets more time than not end up bad. Either a "pea" head or a jumbo sized helmet.
Normally that's quite true, but X-Wing Luke and his helmet turned out pretty well. I think the problem with removable helmets is due to the scale of the toy itself. Halo 3 ODST Buck was 4" figure with a removable helmet and he had a perfectly scaled head but the helmet was huge. I'm betting with a 6" figure there's a little more room and size to work with to make a removable helmet still look right.

Luke's doesn't really count cause it's open faced. At this scale, the minimum thickness for the helmet wouldn't be quite an issue, but I think it would still cause smashed noses or rubbery deformed helmets. I'd rather play it safe and not risk pea heads or bucket helmets.

Exactly. Very few (if any) of the Fett/Storm/Clonetrooper removable helmets have looked good.

I want swappable if they can't make a helmet that's not a rubbery, misshapen mess.

Just noticed at Target for the first time, Hasbro's Avengers 6" series very similar to Star Wars black series. Similar packaging, an $20 price point. Further investigating shows a bunch of figures with alternate head sculpts included, so I would hope Jango would have an alternate head, instead of removable helmet.

I plan on having Jango standing over Mace's perforated corpse, looking all Indiana Jones.
