For some reason I thought this was going to come out before the Holidays. Oh well, something to look forward to early next year.

I thought the ROTJ Vader was supposed to be coming out along with the 1:10 scale Boba Fett but it looks like only the latter has been released SO maybe this statue has been delayed as well..., I thought it was due out in January though I have to admit (Jaina Solo).

I know that Boba Fett is starting to show up. I thought Vader and Jaina were going to be before the holidays? Have any other Star Wars kotos been up for preorder lately? I just seems like its been awhile.

The 1:10 scale Royal Guards have been put up for pre-order but other than that there's nothing else to buy really, apart from chop sticks & ice cube trays of course.

I guess I'm just having SW koto withdrawls. Seems like we've been seeing New 52 almost every month. Be nice to see some more SW, but at the same time I dont want them to the designs and have them come out bad.

Well we have Jango to look forward to which will be released ready for when AOTC 3D comes out at the cinema next year & there's also the next Bishoujo statue to come (Mara Jade) plus the CVI poll winner, the 1:10 scale Sandtrooper..., so there's a few things to come, I'm hoping there will be more for next year other than those though. :)

ARTFX+ ROTJ Vader and Jaina ARTFX Bishoujo are shipping out from the factory. Depending on where you live and how long it takes to filter through retail channels, you may see them before the end of the year, otherwise you'll most likely see them in January.

The light-up chopsticks and larger ice trays experienced a slight delay in the development process. We were hoping to have those out before Christmas, but it looks like they will be just getting ready to ship out from the factory at that point, so they will probably be hitting the shelves in January.

I pre-ordered this when it first became available BUT seeing as it's taken SO long to finally be up for sale I've had plenty of time to ponder about it & in the end I've decided to cancel my order as it's just not speaking to me anymore i.e. I've gone off of it & I'm sticking to my Imperial & Republic trooper focus. :)

I just love my Jaina Model! She's so cute! I like how young she looks - without being inappropriately young..? Great costume design and fun pose. I've got a review posted HERE!

This does look rather nice, I cancelled my pre-order as I wanted to stick more to my trooper focus & as I'm running out of space I thought it best not to waste any with yet more non focus related collectibles..., if I had the room I think I'd reconsider buying it though. :)

I can't tell for sure, but it looks like you may not have the waist joint all the way in- it looks like there's a small gap in the photo. That bit does fit rather tightly and can be a little tricky to get in; I've seen it that way in several online reviews. I do recommend trying the hair dryer trick on it (I had to use it on mine).

Thanks - I know it's not 100% locked - but it's close enough. I'm moving soon - after that I'll get her fully snapped together :)

This stunning figure is my first purchase non-vintage and expanded for a long long time.. there's something in this statue that just comes across sooo cool. Does anybody know what other figures will be included in the bishoujo line other than the obvious Padme and/or Leia (ahh sigh) types? I should have mine in hand within a week, just cleared a spot.. regards to all.

The next in the Bishoujo line will be Mara Jade..., they had some artistic drawings of it up at SDCC but that's it as far as we're aware at the moment. :)

Got mine in the mail today and wow this thing is quite cool to see in person.
This is my first statue/bust figure that I have purchased and it displays really well.

Congrats on your 1st buy of a statue/bust. You have started off real well!

Thanks ! I am already quite interested in a Mara Jade one as someone mentioned above...
I really like the looks of the new 'black' line of figures coming out this year as well..
Looks like I won't be only collecting 3 3/4" figures anymore

Interesting pics, but I just can't get into this sub-line due to the EU-ness. I find it strange that Koto chose this character (she looks Asian, BTW) and not someone like Slave Leia or Arena Padme first. Now, if Koto released a Bishoujo line based on Resident Evil (since there are SEVERAL awesome female characters toting guns to choose from), I'd be all over it.

LOL, I thought they were just supposed to cartoon-like. I guess it's the dark hair. Anyone want a Bishoujo Yarna statue? :wtf:

As far as I'm aware, all of the Bishoujo line are supposed to have a Japanese/Asian look to them..., I could be wrong though of course but I'm sure gai_KOTO_gin can enlighten us on the matter??? :)

They aren't supposed to look Asian per se, nor is it truly intended as an anime/manga aesthetic. The Bishoujo series is all based on artwork by Shunya Yamashita, a very well known Japanese illustrator, famous for both his video game character designs as well as his pin-up style of illustration. To western audiences, Yamashita-san's Japanese background can appear to give a sort of anime/Asian look.

I do recommend taking a look at some of Shunya Yamashita's artwork (just type his name into google and do an image search). In Japan, Kotobukiya has even published a couple of art books of his work (though not of his Marvel, DC, and other artwork for our licensed lines), such as the Wild Flower collection.
