Not to open another collecting can of worms - but had the replacement boxes been previously folded or did they send you unfolded flats? That would almost become a collectible by itself if it's still unfolded.

i finally parted with my hasbro shipper box, i just needed some time with it. Gave it to my kids yesterday, they made a bus out of it.

After of course I let Hasbro know, they just showed up with no notice. I did get the email that they would replace the box’s after I sent the pictures of the damaged box’s.

They were shipped unfolded flats. Hope everyone gets there’s that received damaged ones. Happy collecting everyone.
I'm sure it was mentioned already, but I probably missed it. I was listening to the Jedi Business Talk podcast which had the Q&A session with Sam Smith during NY Toy Fair and he could only say that definitely less than 10,000 barges were made He also said that the official link to the Sail Barge ebay listing will be posted on Hasbro Pulse "at least 1 week in advance". At the time he said it would be for sale on ebay in March, but maybe that has changed since Toy Fair. He said it is 1 stock of barges available to all international markets as opposed to separate allotments of stock made available to each country.
As always take everything with a grain of salt, but that's what was said in the Q&A session.

Are they only replacing boxes with major damage? I have a quarter size punch in the box from damage to the outermost box. So something slammed it hard enough to go through 3 layers. But every time I look at the box, my eye goes to that damaged area. Worth a try I guess.

Dunno how long it has been there but that ebay listing now says US and Canada shipping not eligible. Seems any such orders will indeed be cancelled. Not that that now makes any difference for me one way or another.

here's a question: was one of the chains given ever meant to be for Leia? I mean, the directions CLEARLY show both chains (absurd in length, considering the size of the prison cell) need to be inserted into the far wall of the cell. So what the heck is Leia supposed to choke Jabba with? I double-checked and even in his Dais set from 2010, he only has a little string for Oola. I feel like this was a major oversight in the accessories section. It would have been one of the dirt cheapest things to include on this $500 collectible, really surprised we didn't get it.
Perhaps it was oversight. But you could always get a piece of chain off a key-chain for about $2. Or you likely already have one if you've been in this game long enough. As much as I would have like this and that, you can't expect Hasbro to think of everything. They barely struggle with just the basics at times.

Yep, they could just apply that new photo real technology to a 20 year old figure!
On a side note, had this been released when I was a kid. I would have made the most Awesomest G.I. Joe headquartes out of that box!

Just go to Michaels or hobby lobby and get a chain from the make your own jewelry aisle. Works great for Leia and Oola.
Wow! That is indeed awesome! As others have stated, that in itself would be a unique collectible, and would likely fetch a high price in the future. A pristine, unfolded Barge box? Yeah, I would store that somewhere safe if I were you. Will be worth a pretty penny someday...
But your mention of it just showing up without notice is worrisome. I'm also waiting on a replacement item from them, and all I have is the email with the case number, saying they will ship me the replacement when it becomes available....

I’m sure you’ll get your box. And as far as the flat pristine box’s I received, I’ll be assembling them and using them on my barge’s. My original barge box’s had fork lift size holes in them front to back, so there getting tosssed.

I know. The slave Leia figures come with a chain, but it is way too short to be of any use. Would have been nice to get a longer one.

Define "need." The reasons the chains aren't already inserted is that you can do whatever you want with them! Hasbro isn't holding a gun to your head.

Indeed. I would have been seriously annoyed otherwise. In this case, I'm DELIGHTED that buyers outside the US/Canada are getting their shot (well, at least some of them...)
I'm sure this has been posted many times before, but what size exactly is the barge? What sort of size area will be required to display it? I have a potential space which is 120cm x 40cm, will that do? What about adding a skiff alongside?
OK Snark Quazar - need, as in, ARE DESIGNED to be put in there, hence the plugs, a**hat. That better for you?

To display the Barge full built, you'll need a surface area about 48"X12-14".
Especially with such limited quantities. Because we know most of these would just been flipped for a profit by people who already bought one or two, or three, or four...
Agreed. They were already SOL the first time around, so it would have been a **** move to make them also compete with US/CA buyers.

I'm still SOL. Had I known I was even gonna get shafted out of the international shipment I might have tried to make an arrangement with someone in the US at the fundme stage OR tried to get in on that Darksidetoys UK thing (speaking of, how'd that pan out?). Now my only options are pass on it altogether or go secondary market.
If you're a UK buyer they just announced the date and time for the eBay auctions. I hope you get one if so, though I heard for some it's like 4 AM, which is ludicrous. Set that alarm man!

Not UK but just next door in Ireland. Apparently that's a sea crossing too much for the Barge.
Do you have a friend you could ship it to in one of the other participating countries? I think it's pretty sad that a country which features the beautiful form of Skellig Michael in an actual SW film can't even get this awesome toy shipped. You definitely deserve a shot at it!

The Barges in Darksidetoys UK arrive to storage, they begin send Friday to all buyers in Europe.
This could have done a small store that started with great risk is what a multinational like Hasbro did not want to do even having distributors in all European countries.
As embarrassed as Hasbro behaved with America First.

Wish I could get one, but can't pay the inflated prices on ebay. I know..I had a chance to fund it, but I never knew and I don't know anyone that did that didn't frequent a forum. I am happy for everyone that is enjoying one.

I guarantee those bottom row barges are much happier than how half our barges were during transport loaded in the trucks and planes.
