Stan has hinted that we might be seeing Sergeant Doallyn from Jabba's Palace/Skiff in the future, any thoughts or ideas on what they'd like to see with this figure?

I love Jabba's goons and this guy would be a great addition. I'd expect one of those skiff pikes and a blaster to come with him.

I'll buy him. The question is, will it be the white outfit or the black outfit? I know the black one is actually doallyn, but does hasbro know?

Pretty sure the Bane Malar outfit is the same as the Doallyn black outfit. If the heads are swapable, you could just take the head from the white outfit Doallyn and put it on Bane Malar's body. I am so happy to get any Skiff Guards, this is awesome news!

Ignoring confusion about who this guy actually is, I would want the white suit/ black helmet one. Anything else would be too similar to Bane.

Exactly. I am sure they dont judging their comments when Bane came out. I hope they release the white one for sure.

We can buy a double and put the helmet on the Bane figure since he didn't exist in the film, and viola, we finally have the guy who gets thrown down the stairs by Chewy in Jabbas Palace! :)

And after the Fan's Choice poll, where the image they used was the skiff version, I'm sure that will be the one they make.

Any of Jabba's goons are most welcome to my collection :)

For this one, I'd like the white outfit.

One of my most-wanted Skiff Guards, so I am stoked to hear this! Bane's outfit is identical to the Doallyn gear in the Palace, so as others already mentioned a simple head swap will give us the Palace Doallyn, too.

I am really curious how accurate the helmet will be to the movie. The Decipher card photo is "off" and is not waht was represented on-screen. It almost looks photoshopped on. The helmet in the movie was more round and shiny.

Anyways, exited to hear he might be around the corner now.

How do we know it's not the same character? The guy that gets pushed down in the Palace--well, I never really saw a clear shot of his outfit because it's so dark. Could it be the same white outfit as the skiff Doallyn is wearing?

Looks just like the skiff suit in this picture.

Regardless I want the tan one. It would be more interesting and less of a Bane Malar look alike.

No we do see that its black or dark blue outfit

Have a look at the movie, its a totally different colour

This whole issue is one of the most complicated messes that SW has seen with these multiple names/made up photoshop characters. To make a long story short;
1 the guy on the stairs isnt wearing the same outfit as the guy on the second skiff (but he is wearing the same helmet).
2 And also this guy isnt wearing the same helmet as the Bane Malar figure character (though he might be wearing his costume).

So its a big mess. It seems like there are two guys wearing the helmet that we see clearly on the guy on the Second Skiff. One is on the Second Skiff, and the other is this guy on the stairs.

Its been discussed a lot.

Yeah, see, I just can't tell what color it is. It's too dark to be certain. I would just assume (perhaps wrongly) that it's the same character for the sake of saving a little money. :)

No its totally not. And its not about saving money, cos dont forget these scenes are probably filmed at different locations at different times.

Okay then.

Hasbro, this is what you do:

Make this Sgt. Doallyn.

(Love how he's just standing there)

But make the head swappable with the TLC Bane Malar.

That would settle everything figure wise. :)

Well exactly, and thats what tons of people have said they would do anyway. Problem with that is you need to buy two Doallyns, if you care enough to need to change the helmet.

Personally I dont care enough to need to change the helmet, you cant clearly see him anyway, and you literally have to freeze frame the movie to be sure its different in the first place. So personally I will live with Bane as he is. And get one Doallyn and I am happy with that.

How can you tell? The pic just doesn't verify it. And for me, I'd rather save some money by not getting two figures that are almost identical. The same goes for the Velken vs Nizuc Bek debate. I think Darth Brett was right to assume that these are probably the same actor and outfit, but erroneously seen in conflicting scenes as a result of filming in different locations.

I'm just asking for more evidence to determine whether another version of this guy is justified, if indeed there are two separate characters, and not an editing mistake.

Who knows. Maybe it was Sgt Doallyn who gets thrown down the steps by Chewie, soils himself, and changes his clothes to observe the ceremonial spelunking of Luke and Han into the sarlacc.

I don't care what his name is or who's costume he's wearing or not wearing, I just want the skiff guard standing in front of Luke on the front of the second skiff. :)

As I said, have a look at the movie. It's clear as night and day. He outfit isn't close to white.

If you cross reference the outfit of the guy on the stairs to the Bane Malar figure it's very clear. He has crossed bandoliers, a holster, mid-high boots and a dark jump suit. The only thing that is different is the shape of the helmet which makes everyone believe that it's Doallyn.

I know who you're referring to. The guy who gets knocked down by Chewie. But all I plainly see is a silhouette of Doallyn's helmet. His clothes do look dark but that may just be because of the shadows. But like I said, I'll take your word for it. Question is: Does Lucas or any authoritative source confirm his existence? If not, we may never see him made, unless we make enough noise, and I don't see enough interest yet.

Yeah, it's definitely not the light costume. No offense, of course, but I don't really see how that's even arguable. The lighting from the hallway would reflect off of the white costume, which isn't happening, so it's clearly a dark costume absorbing the light. Whether or not it's the Bane Malar costume could be debatable, even though I again think it probably is.

Oh yeah this has been discussed to death. Check out the Bane thread in the legacy forum. He has been named, that's not the issue. It that the names are all inconsistent.

In the pic posted above of Chewbacca man-handling Doallyn/Bane, you can see it's the blue jumpsuit & brown belt with the two brown bandoliers on his back and military style boots. I know you can see his outfit a little better in the HD version as opposed to the old SD DVDs or even the Laserdiscs.

This seems like it will be one of those figures that, even if the wave ends up on pegs, will be hard to find. The new case assortment ratios are absolutely key to whether or not we ever see any of these.

But oh didn't you hear? Star Wars Insiders officially claims Doallyn is now known as Brock Starsher.

So its Sgt Brock

Nice to hear this one is coming popping out again. I am not buying the 2x per case thing though.

Want to split a case? :p I think the 2x per case is great way to split with members.

You know, at this point does it matter? I get it, you're disgruntled and have mentioned it about ten times since the Star Wars insider printed that. People ignore the PT, some soley live in EU, others only accept films/shows as canon, so if you want him to be called Doallyn go ahead. Like every franchise, you can choose what to accept and like.

Not sure for me if a simple head swap would work for me. I always found the Bane Malar figure quite tiny and the Sgt. Doallyn just seems bigger when seen on the skiff
