Indiana Jones Retro Collection (New)

As of yesterday morning my nearest Target had a full peg of TLC Sallah, a peg and a half of Henry Sr, and 3 TOD Indys.

My local Target has 2 Sallah and 2 Henry Jones Sr, and that is it. I think the TOD Indy came and went super fast. Short Round hit clearance and then was gone in 60 seconds.

After watching Dial of Destiny for a second time I am really wanting more Retro Indiana Jones figures. I just don’t want the adventures to end. If we can’t have any more adventures with Doctor Jones, I at least want to be able to imagine them in my action figures display! Just seeing all the Retro goodies being rolled out for Ahsoka really makes me angry Indiana Jones isn’t getting the same respect.

Got my Henry and Sallah, but didn't see Indy anywhere. I see he's on Amazon, but at $14.99 which sucks. I'm not trying to pay $15 for a freaking 5POA figure...

If you mean the LC Indy, isn't he an Amazon exclusive?
I think he was a shared exclusive. I have heard of him on EE and at GameStop as well. He's not going to show up at Target though, so unless you are waiting for clearance, $15 is the price, yo.

I weas going to pass, at least really hesitate on the LC Indy from Amazon at the 14.99 price, hoping they would lower it. EE has him for 11.99. but didn't really have other things to buy to amortize shipping, since I have prime. But when I found Sallah and Henry Sr at Target I bit the bullet.

Hasbro has him for the right price too:

They'll be having a fall sale soon, I would wager.

Good to know. I just got Pulse Premium to back the Ghost Haslab, so I may get another at 11.99 free shipping now!

Indy meets Uncharted! Awesome!! Another fantastic, exciting photo set! Great stuff!

You know I always love your pictures. But I kind of wish you used the classic 2008 Indy for this instead of Retro trash. The German figures look great and the Retro figure looks so weird next to them.

I take it back! This expression is PERFECT for the storyline!

:D

I'd love for them to remake the other original six figures to round out the line.

Swordsman
Monkey Man
Indy Map Room
Sallah
Belloq suit
Indy disguise
That would sure be nice of them if they would! I would love it if they would keep adding from other movies like they did for Temple of Doom and Last Crusade too. Retro is turning out to be some of my preferred collecting at the moment.

*puts on smart-*** glasses* Well, *actually*, James Bond - The Living Daylights cargo plane brawl predates Uncharted by 20 years.

You're absolutely right!! I never put together that Uncharted (might have?) been referencing or lifting from Bond, but that was a pretty great sequence in "Living Daylights," so they deserve the credit!

I have to agree with Lance_Quazar that if Hasbro would have at least did the figures in the same style and scale as they did in 2008 this line might have felt more complete. Nope. Now we have depressingly incomplete lines in several scales.

Truth. There isn't a single line that has all five films represented. Not that I'm champing for more KOTCS figures in any line, but had they thrown in a few DoD figures in "normal" 3.75" line, I think many people would have been satisfied with a (more or less) "complete" collection.

Agree completely with this. As nice & detailed as the 6" IJ Adventure series line are, instead of these I would still have strongly preferred a "continuation" of the new sculpt(s) 3.75" line instead. And, it would have been nice if this 3.75" line had included a re-release of the extremely HTF TOD & 2nd ROTLA (exclusive) waves - or at the least newly-sculpted figures of these specific characters. That way, at least we collectors would have gotten to "fill in the gaps" in our 3.75" collections.

They could still have released the IJ 3.75" retro figures that came out (especially given that there weren't many characters) - and, instead of the 6" figures - released 3.75" newly sculpted figures in similar movie-themed waves, etc. Even if no vehicles had been released, IMHO that would still have been far better than what we did get.

However, the problem here is that - unfortunately - the 6" scale seems to have become the "main" scale with action figure lines these days, including of course the 6" SW TBS & the G.I. Joe Classified line.

A lot of people would have been happy with that.

Hasbro was always going to do a 6" line, thats their preferred standard theseday. And with the Indy IP, they knew they had to be very cautious, so 2 large lines would have been foolish. (the retro line was just a small supplemental)

It would have been better for me personally if they made the 6" choices from the 2 classic films more complete. As it is TOD feels really incomplete. But you can never please everyone, some people wanted KOTCS, personally I was happy with the 3 x 80s films.

The deep ($3.50) discounts on Sallah and Henry resulted in their swift departure from all my stores.

I don't understand why Hasbro wouldn't do a Haslab that is a set of figures. They make what we want. They get the orders they need. We don't need anymore large ships that we don't have room for. I would gladly do a Haslab that was 20-30 retro/or modern style Indy figures from all five films that completes the collection.

Is this too much to ask for?
