An excellent customizer AND a tailor! Nicely done!
Shhhh…don’t tell anyone…but I used fabric tape!!

I finally stumbled across a figure that I think will work for my Pat Roach character customs, particularly the Giant Thuggee. I looked at some GIJoe Classified figures but I really hate the cut on their waist joints. This is a John Silver wrestling figure only $4 at Ross.

Height looks good with Temple Indy, I think. The head he comes with actually bears a resemblance to the Giant Thuggee too (2 on the left, but I already sourced a better one (right)

Very nice! What are those legs you used on the Thuggee? I'm soft goodsing mine but those look really good.
Nice work on Crystal Skull Marion! I've debated doing some more from that film, but I'm really not feeling it. Spalko will have to be enough, I think.

As Belloq would say, "Again we see there is no character that has been created that Chibischmoo cannot make." Seriously, there's some incredible work here, very cool. I wish we'd gotten that Belloq in any scale. And next are Peru Jungle Belloq and Hatay Palace Elsa...
I'd been attempting the Belloq for awhile. I thought he'd be soft goods at first, then switched to plastic, and when those parts didn't work out - back to soft goods. The pants were altered from some 1/12 military ones, but I couldn't find a shirt that would work, so had to scratch build one. What a pain at this scale! Hope to never have to do it again. It fits a little janky around the shoulders, but gets the job done. The next problem was the pith helmet. The one I ordered from Monkey Depot was way too large, so I had to again scratch build something. I was able to use Toht's hat brim, upside down, for that piece then did sculpey + ribbon for the top piece. Unfortunately, one of the legs broke towards the end, so he's a little fragile.
Hatay Palace Elsa was just done over the last couple days. Don't remember this outfit? She shows up for all of 10 seconds in the movie in it and says one line. But I always thought it was one of her cooler looking outfits - sort of a Femme Fatale Flight Attendant. I also had a hatless Elsa head and some Marion bodies sitting around that needed to be put to good use, so it was a perfect fit. The Marion torso and arms were carved down to remove all the detail, then I added the outfit's signature blue details with little cut out vinyl pieces. Added some bare legs from a Stranger Things Eleven figure (thanks, Wes!) and Helena's shoes. A fabric/vinyl dress goes over those up to the waist with a second layer simulating the bottom of the jacket. Hat was scratch built. I'd already assembled her head when I realized I forgot the scarf, so had to wrap and glue a little piece of cord around her neck; probably could have positioned it better if it went on before the head. There is no photo reference I've ever seen for her shoes or the back of the outfit, so I didn't put much effort into those.

The thing that makes it difficult is that Hasbro can be inconsistent. Even figures in the adventure series itself can vary in terms of pegs/etc.For all of you who are doing custom - and probably collect other Hasbro 6" line - do you know another peg neck figurine that coul be used for my TLC Indy's body?
Thank you
Wow, its been almost 4 months since I last posted Indy customs! Was attempting to make my 'Wave 6' all 'Raiders' since I realized I'd been neglecting that movie lately. It's been nearly done for awhile but I was held up looking for a head for Jock (going to a toy show next weekend, so hopefully will find something). I ended up bumping Jock for an Elsa I just did over the last couple days instead.
First up are the Cairo Swordsman and a German Soldier.
Cairo Swordsman is mostly a Renaldo figure underneath the robe with new feet. Turban top is from Sallah. The robes and sword are all scratch built. He's a little short, but standing across that plaza from Indy, who can tell?
The German Soldier sort of felt like an obligation I wasn't too excited about. But Indy needs these guys to beat up, so I powered through it. I was especially dreading making another set of web gear like I did for German Disguise Indy and I ran out of the better materials and buckles, so it ends up being a bit more simplified than I wanted. The uniform was sourced from 1/12 scale military figures, hat from Elsa, head from GI Joe Dusty (thanks, Wes!). He's sort of a mashup of different German uniforms from Raiders and Last Crusade, not really accurate to any particular one.

Great work as always! And yeah I felt a bit weird when I made Vogel. Especially the red arm band. As you said, though? Indy needs punchable ugly mugs. And next are Peru Jungle Belloq and Hatay Palace Elsa...

BBTS charged me for Toht, so I guess I'll have him sometime next week.
So now that the figure is out in the wild, do you think any third parties will sell a tiny little sticker for us to put on his lapel pin? I thought some of the military figure companies might have something. That's awfully small though.
And it goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway: of course I don't want anything to do with the ideology of the symbol. Like any toy collector, I'm only interested in movie accuracy.
