I think we all knew it was coming. The 2008 line in spite of some QC woes with face paint, I thought was a very well balanced and fun run. Hopefully this one will be too, maintaining a good blend of classic Indy merch with the new stuff.

That last 3.75" line was amazing!! One of my favorite toy lines of all time. Still can't believe how much we got....and there was a lot more in the pipeline when the put the brakes on! I really hope we get at least some of the stuff that had previously made it through the prototype stage.

Personally, I wouldn't pick up any 6" stuff, but if they make it for you 6" collectors, great!

There are reports that 6" is guaranteed. I really like this because it allows for more detail in the figures as well as the accessories. A realistic gun with a realistic holster, as opposed to a giant holster like the previous 3.75" Also, a satchel with a notebook and pencil in it. The possibilities are amazing, but I should not get my hopes up too much! Also, 6" is better, for me, for display purposes. Large figures like Hot Toys and Sideshow take up a lot of space. 3.75" are bit too small and hard to see. 3.75" are great for creating scenes or dioramas, of course.

I'd imagine they'd be doing 3.75" as well for playset possibilities, but word is it might not happen!

I'm guessing we'll get the figure "Indy in his rest home pajamas" three pack. One will be him asleep in a rocker - this will be a deluxe figure. The other will be him with an oxygen tank accessory.

I expect this will likely be a 6” line, however I would not complain about anything I could add to the 4” Indy figures I already have.
I was able to get most of them fairly cheap, but was far to late for the fun stuff like the cycle, horse, play sets & trucks.

I thought this was such great news. I think I have the complete 3.75" set from 2008-2011, and they remain a favorite part of my collection. Would've loved to see a few of those last gaps get filled (Belloq in white suit, Dietrich, Walter Donovan), but of course they'd look so strange with modern photo tech vs. the old paint apps.

Despite all of that, I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to some 6" figures too, from Raiders mostly, but this is exciting to hear, regardless.

Let's hope for lots of stuff and a long life for Indiana Jones merchandise. I prefer the 3-3/4 line so we can get vehicles and all that comes with that terrific classic size. Also, since Hasbro loves to reissue figures, how about the SDCC lost wave on single sale Classic style cards. I'd also welcome a 6" line that keeps the classic Movie characters in every wave. Money in hand waiting Hasbro.... :)

While I wasn't into the last Indy line for its intended purpose I did buy multiples of every figure for custom fodder, and honestly they were truly great despite a few duds and the less than stellar face sculpts on several figures namely Indy's Ford likeness as well as Marion. Though they were great fodder because they didn't look like those two! lol If the figures utilize the photo real method that SW is currently using then that's an immediate improvement from the 2008 line.

So for the same reason I wouldn't necessarily be into another Indy line unless I could use them for potential fodder, thus I would prefer 3.75" scale once again for that reason alone. I would also imagine that it won't be as encompassing as the last line and that it will only offer the main core cast, whoever those characters might be. As for articulation I also feel they will go with the current trend in SW of over complicatedness versus their 08 counterparts, which in some ways will be an improvement while in others maybe not. They were certainly a mix of good and bad choices back then with weird stances for some, yet they were still very well articulated IMO and they also were compatible with the SW figures of 08 which allowed for easy customization.

If they were to venture into a "Classics wave" like the last line did, I wouldn't mind if they formally released those MIA figures like Toht, or rumored/canceled like Walter Donovan. Maybe we could even get Brody, Satipo, Major Eaton etc.

I think Hasbro should do a newer Indiana jones action figure line since Temple of Doom is a dark creepy movie.

also the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles tv show action figures Hasbro should make too in order to make the Indiana Jones action figure toyline to last longer

also figures of characters that Hasbro should make anyway

Sallah in his white tuxedo street/home clothes

Hermann Dietrich - he was important in Raiders of the Lost Ark the entire time especially at the end of the movie

Indiana Jones with removeable hat this time

the thugs during the bar fight at Marion's bar. maybe a 3 or 4 figure pack of the thugs.

Lao Che action figure this time with accessories like the urn of Emperor Nurhaci, along with a gun

Chattar Lai
Short Round
a Willie 3 pack. her in the red dress, her village street clothes, and in her sacrificial outfit
Captain Phillip Blumburtt

young kid Indiana Jones from the tv show

teenager Indiana Jones from the tv show

old Indiana Jones with beard from the tv show

the Panama Hat man
Garth aka Fedora Man the one who gave Indiana the classic hat
the Maharajah prince kid

Kazim

If they go 3.75 I would very much like a removable Fedora that fits other lines of action figures.

(Blue Brothers look stupid with homemade hats)

Some of the wishlist items I see here actually were made in the 2008 line.

Indy with removable hat. Short Round. Satipo (though he was part of the SDCC “lost wave” set).

Personally I’m pumped for a 6 inch line. I don’t need a lot, but a few core characters from the classic trilogy would be very welcome.

The heads of the figures were slightly to small so the removable hat won't work for other lines of figures.

Could you explain this sentence? I'm not following.

The removable hat won't work for six inch either. It would look stupid. I'd rather have interchangeable heads.

I agree, though it might work a little better than on a 3 3/4" figure, I would still prefer interchangeable heads. They also could do an interchangeable hair piece...one with "hat hair" to accommodate the hat. They do that a lot with 1/6 scale figures. Not sure if I've ever seen it done on a 6" figure...maybe SHF?

actual removeable hats for newer 3 inch Indiana Jones figures would be better. That way you can customize a young Harrison Ford head onto something to create a Jack Ryan figur or something

They wouldn’t be better since they’ll look and function terribly, just as they did in ‘08. If we get a hatless head, it’ll more than likely be swappable this time around.

Unless a person wants the removable hat to use elsewhere then swappable heads work just fine. They could also do separate variants just like they did in 08 that way they have an opportunity to get people to buy two figures rather than just one.

After all it's not like they've got a Grogu they can toss in with different variants to keep people buying the same figure over and over.

IMHO 6" is guaranteed.

Retro 5 POA is likely.

3.75" super-articulated is doubtful... UNLESS they lean on re-releasing figures from the last run with Photo Real updates on old school card backs. I just don't see a lot of tooling going here.

I'd love it if they mixed up super-articulated re-releases, on Retro cards to get the MOC-only guys, with whatever new figures can be afforded and call it INDIANA JONES: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION, with VC numbers to reel in the completists.

Oddly, the Vintage figures had more than 5poa. If they did rerelease them, I wonder if they’d cut the knees out as well as the action features.

I’m going to hold out hope for new TVC quality 4” figures until such a time that Hasbro tells me to stop dreaming. I have to believe that even they know that 15 years is too long and they can and SHOULD use their new capabilities to put out something worthwhile.

^ I think they would go 5 POA. Not only for cost reasons, but to hit that product segment that Super7 thrives in.

My hunch is all-new Retro 5 POA sculpts. They'd have to do new tooling anyway regardless of which direction they went. The 5 POA Retro segment is seemingly big enough to go after with Indy, especially since Hasbro is already in it with Marvel and Star Wars.

Man, I hope you’re wrong. You’re probably not, but I hope you are. I’m so sick of “retro” and genuinely mad at Funko/Super 7 for kickstarting the trend.
